About Paula Black, Manager

We enjoy living on the Homosassa River because of the peaceful atmosphere. Eagles perch on our trees. Dolphins swim pass and play. Pleasure Boats and shrimp-crab-fishing boats tug by daily. Our property is a nine-acre site that is surrounded by the Homosassa River, a spring fed waterway that flows with the tides. By boat or vehicle you can be fishing or swimming on the Gulf of Mexico in 30 minutes or less. This area offers many fun activities and is close enough to enjoy tourism in Orlando or Tampa. But you always can come home to the River...

Paula Black, Manager purchased this house in 2013

Why Paula Black, Manager chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

Sunset Point is located on nine acres. We live here, along with three permanent tenants. This is not a property that has been thrown together and has an absentee owner. It is not a 'wild and crazy party' house... Great love and care has gone into the development of this nine acres since the late nineties. Our land was a rare find and thousands of hours have gone into its development. We desire to share it's beauty, but maintain our home and lands deserved respect. For sure, Sunset Point has one of the best vistas of the water in all directions. The Sunsets are breathtaking. If you live in Florida, get here on a 'Want to 'Getaway' on a tank of gas... If you love boating, bring your boat... your own private river front Boat Dock awaits your visit. Navigate to the Gulf of Mexico. The water can't be better. Florida friends: Why would you travel two days out of state for vacation? Save time... vacation in Homosassa... If you close your eyes you can imagine being anywhere in the world right here in Homosassa. Now, to our out of state friends: Why would you come to Florida and not stop by to see the 'Ole Florida' where Native Americans camped on the shores of this fabulous river hundreds of years ago. The river islands are worth seeing via boat. Some brave folks even built homes on these islands. You cannot get a clear understanding of Florida from Disney. Come over here and relax with the mermaids. If you have never seen springs, don't miss ours. This is living with meaning, not traffic, noise and congestion. Welcome Home Friends!

What makes this house unique

Sunset Point's river views are breathtaking. Watch the shrimp and crab boats tug by. Birdwatching is fabulous. Fishing is great. THIS IS 'A PLACE TO REPLENISH YOUR SOUL!'

Great for family scallop trip!

  • 5 of 5

Great property, very private, beautiful views, great dock for the boat. We rented both Sunset Point and Sunset Path for our annual scallop trip and we had a wonderful time. Our group was a total of 9, and we had plenty of space between the two units. We especially enjoyed dining in the screened patio overlooking the river. Paula was great to work with, I'm sure we will be back!

Awesome

  • 5 of 5

The property was great. Very clean comfortable. The owners definitely put some personal touches into taking care of their guests. Cannot beat the location and the ease of boating with the dock being right on the river in a no wake zone.

We continue to come back because we love it here. The weather has been perfect for us and we love all the wildlife. We also love the quaint surroundings, yet things are close no matter what your needs are. This is a great location for kayaking, boating, golfing, or whatever your desires are.
