WATERFRONT **10 MILE VIEW ** 2 BEACHES * KAYAKS *
Originally from Michigan (Air Force Vet) I reside in Florida. Own & manage my vacation homes. The beaches in Norfolk are secluded. Norfolk's vibrant downtown should not be missed, love the museums in Norfolk, Downtown, zoo, botanical gardens, Casemate in Hampton. Waterside area as well as the architecture. Beaches, history and restaurants, Norfolk has it all!! Central to other cities as well.
Lisa purchased this House in 2003
Why Lisa chose Willoughby Spit
This house is like being out to sea on a ship. The water is so close. The location makes for wonderful breezes in the summer, (zero insects). The views will take your breath away. Close to 5 cities. We love the area, especially walking on the beach collecting shells and sea glass. Downtown Norfolk is nice to visit, safe and a friendly city. USS Wisconsin, a fabulous botanical gardens and a zoo. premier outlet mall, all packed in the city of Norfolk. Don't forget a trip Water Country USA in Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. .
What makes this House unique
The house is elevated on Stilt giving you a sweeping view of multiple cities on clear days and at night, Cental to Virginia beach, Williamsburg, all the cities here having something to over. This house has two beach and has great shade under the house. Nice breeze that is not found elsewhere. Sail boat races can be seen on Thursdays

Vacation to the beach from Ohio
Comfortable, I love the views, we saw lots of ocean life. My son loved the fishing poles, the deck was nice to have meals by the water. Would rent from lisa again.
Beautiful Views; fishers welcome
Overall, our experience was good. This was our first family vacation since my siblings and I moved out of the house, plus it was my bday week. Also, our first time using VBRO. Lisa was accommodating to the extra person that was able to come, along with my husband who could only stay for part of the time because of his job. All of the things offered with the house was nice & made it very homey: kayaks, crab traps, fishing poles, dishes, washing machine, wagon, grill, hot tub, dishes, dishwasher, etc. We cooked the entire time while were there. It is very nicely located 30 mins from just about everything we wanted to do and the private beaches near the house were nice! Everything is labeled which was convenient & very helpful! The only issues we really had were from people who stayed there previous to us: they didn't clean the grill, left sand in the hot tub, left the kayaks upright so they were filled with water, the bunk bed mattresses smelled, and the master bedroom box spring was broken. Lisa was apologetic about that and explained her cleaner was on vacation. It didn't ruin our vacation at all though. House could use a good dusting and the AC in master room needs cleaned, which my husband pointed out to Lisa. But, like I said, we had an awesome vacation. My brother & sister hand caught crabs off the deck, along with using the crab trap (we've never done that before.) We fished off the deck every day & enjoyed the naval base activites daily. 0800 every day you could sit on the deck and enjoy the Presenting of Colors. My husband who is a Veteran throughly enjoyed that. My mom enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunset/rises, the hot tub, and the master bathroom. She was too afraid to try the master toilet though! Dad enjoyed the daily fishing. We haven't fished that much since I was little! The only thing we wished the property had was a little fire pit outside and maybe a swing underneath the porch to swing on. We weren't too sure where to launch the kayaks at though, but did utilize them. The neighbor was very friendly (I forgot his name, sorry!), my husband and him spent a little bit of time talking. Overall, Lisa's house is VERY homey & cozy, almost home away from home feeling. We will definitely use it again! Lisa is a very pleasant person as well! 😀
I think you misheard, the hot tub
repair person was on vacation, not the housekeeper. I did speak to the housekeeper about
dusting more thoroughly and the bedding replaced. Glad you enjoyed all the items I leave for guest to feel at home. We hope to see you again soon. L
We had a great stay! Property was easy to find. It is located in between Virginia beach and Yorktown, which worked very well for us. Lisa was a wonderful hostess! Thank you, Lisa!
Lovely house in a great location.
This house was clean, comfortable, and had everything that we needed. Our group really enjoyed the location, walking to the beach everyday was easy and accessible. We would love to stay here again in the future!
So happy you all enjoyed it. There is a also a tiny beach (shared) 2 doors down. Both are fabulous on a hot day.
Awesome waterfront house in Norfolk, VA
This property was exactly as listed and we couldn't have been more pleased with this rental. It was very clean and even more beautiful than in the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the small mini beach and the beautiful views from the decks. It was the perfect place for us to vacation with all 5 of our children, their significant others as well as our fur babies. Lisa was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to my questions. This house now holds a very special place in our hearts and we wouldn't hesitate booking it again.
The property was as advertised. Had a great time fishing from the lower deck. Beaches in the area are nice and there are few people to deal with. It was like having a private beach to yourself. I would definitely stay here again.
