About Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation

We both grew-up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have been "Tempted" by Lake Tahoe for years. The enchanting magic of the lake and the surrounding Sierra Nevada prevails, and it still offers new experiences and adventures every trip. We continually make every effort to make our Lake Tahoe getaway a welcoming home away from home for our guests and take pride in providing a wide variety of information to help make every stay a memorable one.

Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation purchased this townhome in 1996

Why Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation chose Incline Village

Our North Lake Tahoe townhome condo at Incline Village, Nevada, is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel like you're 1,000 miles away, yet it's only a 3.5-4 hour drive from the Bay Area and just 45 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe Int'l Airport. Located in Forest Pines, just steps away from Lakeshore, our condo has one of the best locations in Incline Village. A wide range of multi-season activities, fine and casual restaurants and a small town, "village" vibe makes it a unique vacation destination.

What makes this townhome unique

From easy unloading and loading right out front, to an instant-on gas fireplace to quickly take the chill out, our condo affords a wide variety of features the minute you arrive.

An antique buffalo head from Idaho presides from high above the fireplace hearth in the cathedral-ceiling living room, an historic and Native American decor set the approachable and friendly accommodations, and each bedroom has their own dedicated full bath. The kitchen is fully-equipped and ready for preparing an quick and easy breakfast or a special three-course dinner.

In the summer, just step out the door and the Incline beaches are just a short walk away. Hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, para-sailing, boating — you name it — it's all right here.

And in the winter, Diamond Peak is a quick drive up the hill and also offers a daily shuttle that stops right in front of the Forest Pines entrance.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed in this lovely condo in January, 2010. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! It is a cozy mountain home that is immaculately clean--a combination that is not easy to come by. It is obvious that owners Fred & Diana take great pride in this property! We loved the oversized couch, and the easy gas fireplace warmed us up instantly after playing in the snow all day. One more word of praise is for Fred. He was a tireless source of information and resources when it came to my many questions about the area. I very much appreciated that. Incline Village is a lovely part of Tahoe to stay in. There really is not much of a village to see, but the homes around this area are incredible. Diamond Peak is 5 minutes drive from here, and a great place to have your kids learn how to ski. The lake is a 2 minute walk down the property and across the street, and a new and large indoor hot tub is literally 200 steps from the property. Thanks again, Fred & Diana! We look forward to staying here again.

Great location to enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at our stay in the condo in Incline Village. It was an awesome location, just a short walk to Lake Tahoe. It was easy to find and was in great condition. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Using Fred and Diana’s book of brochures we were able to find a great hiking trail, the Incline Village Beach access and a nice boat ride across Lake Tahoe. We even enjoyed nice relaxing walks along Lakeshore Blvd. We went to the Lake Tahoe Science Center and learned interesting things about how the lake was formed and about the clarity of the lake and how it has changed over the years. We went to mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church which also had an awesome view of the lake. We really enjoyed ourselves and recommend this location for anyone looking to come to Lake Tahoe for a nice vacation.

Well appointed condo, cozy and welcoming

  • 5 of 5

The property is well managed, and the 2 Bed/ 2 bath layout is great for two couples (like us), or a small family (I imagine). Fred and Diana sent us a lot of information about how to best enjoy the condo before we got there, and the handbook they had printed out helped a lot as well. We also appreciated the little touches like signs posted in the bathrooms about where to put towels, how to adjust the thermostat etc, as well as the boutique hotel like tiny soap bars and shampoo in the bathrooms.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Very clean, cute condo and well stocked! It was nice not having to rush to the grocery store for every little thing. Perfect for two couples. We each had our own space. Prime location. Can walk to the beaches, stores and restaurants. Owners were very generous with the amenities. The beds were very comfortable.

Very clean, comfortable condo.

  • 5 of 5

This condo is very clean, very comfortable, and in a great location! It is well stocked with everything you would need, including extras like electrical surge plugs in every room, which was a convenient feature for charging phones, etc. It also had lamps with bright enough bulbs for reading, something not all condos have. My husband and I invited another couple to stay with us for a week, and there was plenty of room for four of us. The condo is an easy, beautiful 1/2-mile walk to the Hyatt Marina and Hotel, and a shorter walk to the beach. Fred and Diana provide all information you will need and are attentive and easy to communicate with. Thank you, F & D.
