About Pamela Jones
We have lived in the Newburyport area for over 30 years and enjoyed this home for 5 of those years. When we moved from it we turned it into a vacation rental. We own and rent out a beach house on Plum Island and decided to see if there was an interest in people renting this beautiful Victorian in Newburyport. There is! We now enjoy providing a home away from home for visitors.
Pamela Jones purchased this House in 2003
Why Pamela Jones chose Newburyport
Our home provides a wonderful place to stay for various reasons you may be visiting the area. We have had a vast range of guests. Wedding parties or guests, vacationers that want the option of the beach without the sand and traffic, business travelers that enjoy a home stay instead of a hotel, people gathering for family reunions, families needing a home while theirs are being renovated, families wanting their children attending the Newburyport schools.
What makes this House unique
Our guests have enjoyed this home in particular because of the large dining table, number of real beds, books and games, fabulous location, large master bedroom, basketball hoop, relaxing in the yard, sunny porch, gardens, most importantly, customer service. Because we live in the area, we do our best to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.

Perfect for Big Group
We recently stayed at Pamela's home for my sister's bachelorette party and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The house was even nicer than the photos and impeccably clean. All the girls commented on how well they all slept each night--a combination of the air conditioners and incredibly comfortable beds. We would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Newburyport with a big group. You won't regret it!!
We were in town for a wedding over the July 4th holiday. The home accommodated 12 family members very comfortably. Great supply of towels, blankets, extra pillows etc. Home was spotless, not a dust bunny in the place. We had some very hot days in the high 80's and 90's even and the home stayed very cool.
Newburyport is a very quaint coastal town with an adorable downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants. Home is conveniently located to downtown and harbor. We walked to downtown several times. Just a short 15 minute walk.
Our large group ate at several local restaurants and were never disappointed.
Just a great stay. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you Pam for letting us stay in your wonderful home! Walking to town was a highlight! So many great places to eat and explore! The house had everything we needed! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Newburyport!
We came came from California with our 5 grown children to visit family . House was spacious and had everything we needed. The owner was accommodating as last year we cancelled due to the fires in Santa Rosa and she let us rebook a year later at the same price. We will be back
Family Reunion Stay
Downtown Newburyport was a great place to stay during their annual Labor Day weekend festivities. In our case there was added fun because of a family wedding. We used this house as the headquarters for 3 generations staying together for the big event.
1) The house was spic n span and very well maintained. Our hosts have a lot of pride and take great care of their property.
2) There was plenty of room for the 10 people and 2 dogs that were part of our group.
3) The kitchen is well equipped to prepare anything you want and gather around a large island for family banter while cooking. In our case, we held the rehearsal pizza dinner so there was room enough for an additional 10 or 12 people to have a very casual get together the night before the wedding. There is even a lovely yard with comfortable furniture to take advantage of on a beautiful night.
4) The day after the wedding there was a lot of left over food from the reception that ended up at the house with us which was unplanned. Pamela had left us a note recommending that we leave food in the refrigerator instead of with the garbage so no raccoons were attracted to the house. We didn't realize and they didn't realize there would be so much. So, we left it because we had no where to put it all in our vehicle. We had rented a large van to transport most all of our group from Fall River to Newburyport. We apologize for the volume .
The bottom line is that the house was clean, comfortable and a good solution for our needs and we will recommend it to others if the opportunity arises.
Beautiful home. Close to town. Lots of room. Great hosts.
We had a great time staying in this home. It wasn’t without issues but I’m sure Pam has taken care of those. One of the beds broke while we were there and the clothes dryer quit working. Also the coffee maker wasn’t working properly, but Pam brought the coffee maker from their house to replace it, so it wasn’t a problem. I’m sure the two other issues have been fixed by now. Our group really enjoyed the house. The beds were comfortable, the house was big enough to accommodate all of us. Newburyport is a wonderful town with a lot to do and it is centrally located to take day trips into Boston, New Hampshire and Maine. Some members of our group took a whale watching trip and saw 7 different kinds of whales. Our trip was taken in August. The house is a short drive or walk into town. There are also bike trails and Plum Island is really nice and a short drive away.
