Lodge, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)
I am a Commercial Loan Officer at a bank in Rapid City, SD. This is a family lodge owned by my dad, brother and I that we're renting out during the times we are not visiting the Northern Black Hills. We always enjoy our stay at the lodge with its close proximity to Deadwood and all the events and activities associated with the town.
Owner purchased this Lodge in 2010
Why Owner chose Deer Mountain Ski Resort
We purchased this lodge because of the unique features of the property and it's close proximity to Deadwood, Sturgis and Spearfish. We wanted a place where we could stay and still have access to ATV/snowmobile trails and skiing. The lodge has easy access to the highway which makes it very accessible even when the weather doesn't necessarily cooperate. The lodge provides the feeling of a luxurious home while the log beams and mountain view reminds you of being in the outdoors and the beauty of nature.
What makes this Lodge unique
We enjoy having access to the ski resorts just minutes away. We also enjoy driving our ATVs directly to the trail heads that are located nearby. Deadwood casinos and restaurants provide nightly entertainment without having to drive an extended period of time.

Beautiful Cabin in the Black Hills.
Beautiful cabin, completely stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, crockpot etc needed. The three levels with a bathroom on each was perfect for our family.
The morning sunrise was breath taking and the kids enjoyed the game room and hot tub.
The only complaint was no WiFi as the cell service was a bit intermittent at times. Looking forward to another family stay here.
Thanks from the Hartman family.
We had a great time!
The kids loved the wii and we loved the hot tub!
Beautiful cabin in the woods
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is only about 5 miles away from Lead, so we made a run to the grocery store and made some simple meals. There was a nice assortment of pans for cooking, plenty of plates and silverware etc. The architecture of the cabin is an interesting mix of modern and rustic; we liked it a lot. The washing machine was a bonus too, so we didn't need to pack as many clothes. The hills are beautiful any time of year; we will be back. I highly recommend this cabin!
A great place to stay, very quiet and plenty to look at. Our family had more than enough space and really enjoyed the time and area. One improvement my kids wished they had was wifi, but they survived just fine!
Great cabin, great location. Easy transaction, owner great to work with.
Wonderful summer stay
This was a great place to stay during our trip in early August. Plenty of room for our group of 9. Cool nights kept the place cool even after hot summer days. The deck was a gorgeous place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening sunset. We would definitely stay here again.
Our lodge is strategically located within a few short miles of most of the main Black Hills attractions. The Lead-Deadwood area boasts year round events and activities. A favorite activity of many guests is snowmobiling or riding ATV's. Our lodge is located yards from the heads of many snowmobile and ATV trails allowing guest to ride directly in and out with ease. The Mickelson Trail is also minutes away for those looking for easy access to a beautiful walking path and biking trail that winds through the Black Hills. The Lead Country Club is also minutes away for access to a challenging yet fun 18 hole course. In August, the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally attracts thousands of visitors and showcases numerous events and concerts.
