The home was very clean. Large and Spacious. The location was convenient for getting around the area. I really liked the layout of the home.
Wonderful cabin in the woods
On short notice we rented this cabin in the woods and had a great time. It was as advertised and we hope to visit again soon.
We would definitely stay here again. Very cozy and plenty of room for large families. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable beds and furniture.
This property was perfect for our family stay. We had half of our crowd camp in Moccasin Creek State Park, and the rest of us stayed in the cabin. It’s very spacious! Our host was great and on-site if we had any questions. Perfect place for a mountain getaway!
Great mountain retreat
My husband and I rented this lovely home for a month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is large enough for 3 couples to relax and have plenty of privacy. We took advantage of the pontoon boat for rent by the owners and enjoyed 2 wonderful days on the lake. We also went jet skiing at Lake Chatuge, hiking numerous times at Hemlock Hills, shopping in Highlands, NC and Helen and even found time for 2 days at the Kingswood Spa in Clayton. The owners, Diane and Bill, were delightful and very accommodating. They have stocked the home with everything you could ask for. This is the perfect place to escape the Florida heat and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the mountains and Lake Burton. Our favorite spot was on the covered porch off the dining room watching the hummingbirds drink the sugar nectar and listening to the band play at nearby LaPrade's Marina.
Bill & Diane were great hosts and their house is great for a getaway. It's walking distance to LaPrade's Marina (although we drove because of rain) and only minutes away from restaurants and parks. Although we only cooked once, the kitchen was fully stocked. Bill & Diane are always available to help/answer questions.
