Built in the mid-1970's this home is very well maintained and they've clearly updated over the years. I must say that having a pool for the kids to use every day, being 15 minutes from the beach, and having a private garage to park the car are all high points. New and efficient washer and dryer were also a godsend.
We'd stay here again for sure.
Enjoyed our three weeks in Venice. The weather was not always the best but Brian's home had plenty of reading material, lots of movies and a big screen television. The home was spacious, clean and well equipped. Enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles on the table in the Florida room. Got to swim in pool several warm days. The neighborhood was great for walking our dog....plus the fenced in yard was great for when we went sightseeing and left the dog home. The property is so close to Tamiami Tr and that was great for getting around. Within two miles is a shopping center with everything including IHOP, Chili's, Panera and Outback. Walmart was nearby. Venice East golf course was just around the corner. My favorite beach was Manasota for shark's teeth, favorite area was Casy Key and while we ate at many great restaurants, my favorite restaurants were Blu Island Bistro and Mango Bistro. Bentley's gelato is good but the best was downtown Venice at Ciao Gelato. Loved Selby Botanical Gardens, Ringling Mueseum in Sarasota, and Ford/Edison estates in Ft. Myer. Mr. Mike across the street kept our yard clean after a few storms and gale force winds blew through. Thanks Mr. Mike.

This place is great for a family with kids. The pool was awesome! It was chilly at first but after speaking with Brian, he adjusted the temp to make it more comfortable for us. There was a few pool toys for the kids to play with. The bedrooms were nice and clean. Having a kitchen was great on saving money by making our own meals. An added bonus was the pocket door to the kitchen to block off the baby from it. There was a safety fence to put around the pool if needed for younger kids and I liked having the screened in porch separate from the pool area. There was plenty of beach towels for us to use.
We all had a great time in Venice and my kids miss the house. We were able to bring our dog with us too which was an added bonus. Venice has nice beaches all about 20 minutes away. Worth the drive to Blind Pass Beach. The beaches were so blue and clear water and we found lots of shark teeth. The dog beach is great area for dogs that love the water. Ours not so much.
We hope to return in the future. :)
This house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood in Venice East. The layout of the house is a split floor plan with sliding doors leading to the screened porch and pool area from the kitchen and the living room. The house is well-equipped with everything you would need. Brian was very pleasant to deal with and very responsive to our needs. The pool was heated to a comfortable 80 degrees. This house is perfect if you are bringing a dog. There is no carpet in the house, and it has a fenced-in back yard. This is not a luxury house, but it is comfortable and clean. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing three weeks there.
We absolutely loved this home and pool.. The set up was great with the bedrooms on the opposite sides of the house with the living area in the center. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living room was incredibly comfortable. It was convenient to shopping, dining and the beach. Hanging out at the pool was very relaxing. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much..
My family and I loved this house! It was very clean, layout is great for entertaining, heated pool was enjoyed by all. Great neighborhood close to beaches, shopping and golf! Great communication with the owner. Use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and screens was greatly appreciated. Washer and dryer also worked great. Manasota beach was very nice for collecting shark teeth and Sharky's On the Pier was a beautiful place to enjoy drinks and dinner!
