Charming Guest House in central Malmö with a lovely secluded and private back yard. Walking distance to a daily farmers market, many parks, museums, local sightseeing and connections to regional sightseeing. Triangeln train station is very nearby, from which a direct train to the Copenhagen Airport and Central Station runs every 20 minutes. Taking the train in the other direction brings one to the University city of Lund, with many historic buildings (including the Lund Cathedral built in the 9th century) and the experience of a picturesque Swedish town. Malmö itself as Sweden's third largest city offers a great many attractions, history and vistas as well. The Turning Torso, Scandinavia's highest building, is located in the Malmö Western Harbor area, where boat rentals, harbor dining and public swimming in the Sound is also available.

This apartment listing is for one of two available. This listing is for the apartment on the first floor, which includes a private bathroom and kitchen with seating for three. The bedroom easily sleeps two people very comfortably, while an extra bed can be arranged upon request for an extra cost of 100:- per night. A second bedroom with a bathroom is available upon request and can sleep another 3 comfortable

About Elizabeth & Kicki

This house was built 1896 and has been in the family for 40 years. It used to be run by our father as a Bed & Breakfast. Now it is used for the family except in the summer when we rent out two of the units.

This house is extremely charming, private and welcoming with a secluded garden including lots of lovely fruit trees. The location of the house in central Malmö is within walking or biking distance to the city's best offerings. Regional and local public transport is also within easy walking distance, which makes many of the region's summer destinations and attractions easily and affordably accesible via regional buses and trains.

What makes this apartment unique

Parts of the house has recently been renovated and maintained with guests in mind. It is a home away from home for all of us in the family as well as for many guests throughout the years.

I stayed at this charming guest house in 2012, and enjoyed it so much I have booked the same place for this summer. The description and pictures are accurate, my photos of the property look the same. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful in answering all questions. She has brochures and maps of the area, as well as current events listings in the area. I have recommended this property to my family and friends.

Nicht geeignet für längeren Aufenthalt

Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin klappte gut und die Abwicklung des Mietvertrags verlief zügig und korrekt. Die Vermieterin war bei unserer Ankunft für drei Tage abwesend, worüber sie uns informiert hatte. Die "Ferienwohnung" erwies sich, völlig unerwartet, als Zimmer mit Miniküche und einem mickrigen sehr einfachen Bad, das unter der Treppe, die ins Obergeschoss führt, eingezwängt war. Die Räume waren sauber und die Einrichtung eher alt und zweckmässig. In der Beschreibung der Wohnung ist von A und B Einheiten und von 60 Quadratmetern die Rede. Tatsächlich mussten wir feststellen, dass diese Angabe der Gesamtfläche entspricht, die durch vier Einheiten geteilt wird. Mit der momentanen Beschreibung ist dies allerdings nicht klar verständlich und irreführend. Jedenfalls waren wir sehr enttäuscht und wir konnten uns nicht vorstellen zwei Wochen Urlaub dort zu verbringen, zumal es gar nicht genügend Platz für unsere persönlichen Dinge gehabt hätte. Wir haben daraufhin die Vermieterin per sms informiert, dass wir etwas anderes suchen. Telefonisch konnten wir sie erst nach mehrmaligem Versuch erreichen. Sie reagierte überrascht und enttäuscht, aber für uns kam es nicht in Frage zu bleiben. Die Wohnung hatten wir schon im Vorfeld bezahlt. Die Vermieterin bot lediglich an, uns etwas rückzuerstatten, wenn sie die Wohnung erneut vermieten konnte. Sie hat uns dann auch während unseres Malmö Aufenthaltes informiert, dass sie drei Tage vermieten konnte und uns das Geld aufs Konto überwiesen. Wir finden, es wäre angemessen gewesen, wenn uns wenigstens eine (ganze) der beiden Ferienwochen erstattet worden wäre, zumal die Beschreibung der Wohnung nicht dem entspricht, was man erwarten könnte.

Die Wohnung kann für ein Wochenende in Malmö, je nach Vorliebe, genügen (vor allem für junge Menschen), grundsätzlich habe ich aber andere Erwartungen an eine Ferienwohnung und deren Qualität.
