What makes this Condo unique
I love to eat breakfast out on the screened in porch overlooking the ocean and hear the waves pounding into the sand. My wife and I also enjoy kayaking in the marsh areas that are within an easy drive of the unit.

Summer rentals require a 7 night minimum and a Saturday check-in. No motorcycles are allowed on the property by the SeaScape Home Owner's Association
100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Great value for ocean view!
This condo was a great deal for being right on the beach! It needed some updating, but was well worth the price.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. The condo sits right on the beach and has a lovely hot tub in the courtyard as well as an Oceanside swimming pool. Also, the complex is also close to lots of great restaurants and entertainment venues.

Not suitable for families or small children
Odor and stained or dirty sofa small deck with view thru screen bad. No locks on deck doors and unable to get front door locked did not stay had to rent another condo. Owner did not refund rent.
The sofa did not have an odor nor was it dirty as my wife and I had just left the unit a few days before your check-in. In fact, my wife washed the slip cover for the sofa on the day of our departure. There is in fact a lock for the deck door located above the door knob. And, there is no problem with the front door lock as my wife and I used it without issue prior to your visit and my cleaning service used it immediately after your visit. I suspect that the reasons that you listed these issues is that you read them from a previous renter review and thought that they may be issues. However, they are all fictitious for the reasons stated above. And lastly, I would have been glad to refund you your rent money if you had notified me in time to acquire another renter. However, you did not ask for the refund until the second day of your scheduled stay. In fact, even though you have falsified your review, I was still gracious enough to refund you the cleaning fee since I was able to cancel the departure cleaning upon learning from you that you did not stay at the unit.

The property was perfect location, well kept and the beach wasn't overly populated. It was perfect for our family!

Kind owner, but underwhelmed
Strengths: Price!! Location_ it was very close to the sand.
Pool and hot tub were nice for the size of the complex. Washer and Dryer with good capacity, and working well. Entry porch great for dropping off beach supplies, and side porch with nice view of ocean. Updated kitchen appliances and TV's. Surface clean. Owner kind and considerate - notified us that we could access unit 3 hours before check-in. Very attentive via email.
Areas for improvement: An unpleasant odor. I figured out it was coming from dishwasher/disposal, and to some degree from the cabinets. I know that this can be hard to control due to entire complex, but deodorizers can and should be available for plumbing.
Many dishes in cabinets had dried food from dishwasher. Two frying pans very dirty...I just put them back and never used.
No dishcloth and scrubbing devices, and rusty warn cookie sheets. Could not use. I think the policy should be that the housekeeping service put the dishes away. This way they can assure that they were properly cleaned. Not really fair to owner if renters put dishes away blindly, and no one to double check. Sofa was really, really old, lumpy and difficult to get out of because sunken. (No, I'm not obese!) Screened in porch had cushions that were really unpleasant, old, dirty. This could have been a special oasis by just replacing and updating cushions. 1 review stated "dated". I can handle that, but the neglected feel could be remedied.
As a landord, I understand not wanting to over spend due to careless renters. And I appreciate the opportunity to take family to the beach on a budget. Nice cushions, cleaner dishes, $20 in bake wear, and a good deodorizer would make a difference. This place does have good bones and potential. For the price, it is sufficient.

The unit number is 309 SeaScape. The complex sits directly on the beach, and beach bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The Barefoot Landing entertainment complex is located 2 miles away and includes the Duplin Winery, Alligator Adventure, the House of Blues, Greg Norman's Australian Grill, and many other shops, restaurants, and bars. The Tanger Outlet is located 4.5 miles from the unit.
