About Marci Paddock
Walking on the beach in the morning is a favorite for exercise, and with the new bike path going to Kahuku, we love to ride bikes, sometimes all the way to Sunset Beach. If you make it to Sunset Beach area, Teds bakery is a great place to get a crab sandwitch and a piece of their famous chocolate haupia (coconut) pie.
Marci Paddock purchased this Condo in 2009
Why Marci Paddock chose Laie
We came here 6 years in a row on vacation and decided to leave the hustle bustle of the city and move to paradise. Laie is a very friendly community where life slows down and people enjoy the beauty around them.
What makes this Condo unique
The visitors center at the Mormon Temple is a great place to go when you want to enjoy a peaceful place to ponder and wander around the Temple grounds. The view from the Temple steps looking all the way down to the ocean is worth the visit alone.

Cozy Beach House - Very Convenient
Conveniently located across from Hukilau Beach and close to other North Shore beaches and attractions. Close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, grocery stores and food trucks. The house was easy to get to and had plenty of parking. The house had everything we needed for a stay on Oahu. Marci was helpful with any questions we had. The cost per night was more than advertised due to taxes and various fees, but we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.
Great property! Could use more standing fans as it gets very hot in this house.
We will stay here again... But there were some issues
Let me start out by saying that we would definitely book this place again! Overall we were super happy :-) we felt safe and secure and comfortable... That's what you want when you book a VRBO right!?!?
Really easy to find the place. We arrived and everything was super clean. The fridge had rust on its side, but whatever - it's Hawaii. The screen door would not open because it was rusted. Most of the screens were brittle and broken. The cable TV setup would not work so we ended up plugging in an HDMI cable to our laptop to watch movies at night. fans had bent pieces of paper to keep them in place for stability... But whatever - it's Hawaii. They had extra towels for us - that was cool. They had a pack and play in the closet, but it had a poop stained pair of underwear with it... like finding a prize in the Cracker Jack box, but instead of finding a prize you find poop stained underwear. Bare Essentials in the kitchen. No Pam for the skillet or other cooking amenities - which is totally fine, I just didn't no what to expect before I booked it. But as I said, We are totally happy with our stay over all but I just wish I would have known what I should have picked up at the store before we arrived.
The beds are super comfortable and we all slept really really well I think this is strange for a VRBO- very pleasantly surprised.
You woke up to the Sun and you can watch the ocean from the bedroom and living room. Perfect Hawaii experience for the family!
Affordable with a nice view!
This was a very affordable option for my sisters and I when we were on Oahu for a wedding. The place was clean and had most of what we needed. It’s right across from a beautiful beach park and we enjoyed being able to see the ocean from the deck outside our door. It’s about an hour from Honolulu airport and the drive is really pretty. Ideal spot for exploring the east side of island and north shore. Downsides were no A/C so it was pretty warm inside and we had to leave windows open at night. This would be fine except it was often pretty loud with music playing at campsites across street and neighbor noise. Owner was friendly and let us use some beach equipment and towels were provided for beach which was nice!
The property was two doors down from where my husband used to live. It was a fun trip down memory lane with quick and easy access to the beach and the PCC
We really enjoyed staying at this facility. It is very clean and worked well for us. We had four adults and two children. The beach is just across the street and the view is spectacular. It is close to Foodland, many foot trucks. the Laie LDS Temple, and the PCC. It is also an easy drive to the beautiful beaches to the north and the Dole Pineapple Plantation. With the fans and the cross breezes we were always comfortable. It is also budget friendly. We would definitely go back again!!!!.
Polynesian Cultural Center just a 3 minute drive from the property, Mormon Temple 2 blocks away, Brigham Young University Hawaii campus 3 blocks.
