About the property

Historic Pass-a-grille Beach House With Large Patio Wifi Bikes and Central AC

Relaxing Beachhouse is situated on a small island that is only 5 houses wide with 7 miles of white powdery sand beach. Its just a minutes walk away from the beach. the "SeaShell" house went under a recent extensive kitchen remodel & a bathroom remodel with a step in shower new Travertine flooring, & glass tile. The kitchen is open concept with eat-in area for 4 so it makes a nice early morning or later evening area for relaxing if anyone in your family likes to sleep in or go to bed early.

Pass-a-Grille beach is a predominantly residential area, the SeaShell House is a historic house built craftsman style in 1920"s and it offers a relaxing and secluded spot for those who enjoy sunsets, shelling early morning walks or just a simple quaint, small beach town atmosphere perfect for disconnecting.-

Updated clean kitchen and bath, with original 1920'S hardwood flooring down hallway, bedroom and living room. Calm and inviting paint and trim with modern furnishings & craftsman style charm!

Palm trees abound on this property with your own patio area, grill and an outside shower for your use! There is a ton of peace of mind in a restful setting complete with soothing sunsets, shells and birds galore! Completely bright, airy, clean and updated original beach home that includes new furniture and two great outdoor patios!

Patio porch is equipped with a bbq & sitting area and you have use of two bicycles to call your own while on vacation!

This house works well for up to 5 people as the bathroom is down the hallway and not through a bedroom- it's best for 2-4 but will work with 5 because I have a pull out queen couch and a pull out lounge chair that both convert to beds. I try my best to make the vacation great for you so your stay means a lot to me I want to make it as perfect as it can be!

Tip: watch the videos to see what the area is like and to understand the layout of the house so you can visualize your stay on Pass-a-Grille!

((Also, I do have a 5 night minimum for dates greater than 60 days away. One month from current date, I do discount open days- if you can send a check- just ask me-please. It is a quiet area meant for relaxing and not meant for parties or gatherings so I typically will not allow weddings etc unless the entire property is booked**)).

Awesome restaurants are just a few walking blocks away and Shaner's (voted best on the beaches for years!) gourmet deli with freshly caught fish, marinated meets, steaks, rubs for fish, poultry and veggies! It is the perfect place for groceries and its only blocks away- great for bbq items or a quick snack.

Please call me if you have questions. Brand new and very comfortable sleeper queen couch and brand new queen bed in bedroom.

Blocks away- rent a boat, go shelling on the beach, fishing, nearby golf and tennis. Minutes from shopping, museums, entertainment and nightlife for a satisfying and relaxing vacation.

About Lisa M. Charest

Greetings! I grew up on pass-a-grille but I now live in downtown st. Petersburg where my daughter goes to school. I compete in triathlons (swimming, running and bicycling) for fun. We have three dogs (poodle and a 2 golden retrievers) and try to live simply by enjoying all the wonderful activities in our area such as the Dali museum, bicycling on our 80 mile bike path, and windsurfing.

Lisa M. Charest purchased this cottage in 1975

Why Lisa M. Charest chose St Pete Beach

I love this beach house. I personally redid most of the house. We lived there for a while as it is such a wonderful area, however daily demands called me away from the beach so I chose to make life easier and move closer to my daughters school. The beach house is easy to get to from the airport and an easy trip to adventures in downtown St Pete, Tampa or Orlando. The best part of this beach house though is the peace that it brings to those who vacation there, the shelling, walking on the beach or just listening to nature. I invite you to live in this beautiful setting and enjoy the comfort of Pass a Grille beach. Even if you only stay for a week you will leave with sunsets on your mind and the horizon and open air in you heart. Enjoy!

What makes this cottage unique

Nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Tampa Bay, Pass-a -Grille Beach is a gem with water and white sand beach everywhere in an underdeveloped little island. There are ten restaurants that are enticing, yummy and only a few blocks away. Cute shops and boutiques run along 8th Ave, the smallest downtown in the US which is perfect for strolling. Pass a Grille Beach is mostly a residential beach- It is perfect for a life made for walking, relaxing, cycling or swimming. The beach house is only a few steps from our beach trolley stop and the trolley can take you to wherever you want to go.. or you can just stay, enjoy the water, the sea grapes and the local restaurants as they entice all who come to this area. Above all enjoy the sunset that has made Pass a Grille/St Pete Beach the 'sunset capital of FL the water is all around to reflect the suns rays and shine with warmth on each glorious day.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This house was light and bright and airy and everything was nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all you would need for a stay. Everything worked and the AC did its job. And there were plenty of towels. The unit had been recently refurbished and some careful thought had gone into it as everything fitted neatly into its space and because of that, it gave an increase sense of space and tidiness. The location was terrific as it was a simple two minute walk to the beautiful sands of Pass a Grille Beach. Car parking was right outside the rear door. If you are after an agreeable rental, in a lovely quite location but no distance at all from all the amenities St Pete Beach offers, and easy access to the surrounding area, look no further.

My husband and thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days at Lisa's seashell house! We were fortunate enough to experience high temps, sunshine and gorgeous sunsets every day. It was a very short walk to the beach which was awesome! The beach house was clean, well equipped and we couldn't have asked for more. This is one of the nicest beaches in the world and we walked every single morning before breakfast. We loved Sea Critters for dinner on more than one occasion and the Seahorse was an ideal breakfast stop. We will definitely return!

Beautiful beach home

  • 5 of 5

Lisa's beach home was absolutely perfect for our family of 2 teenagers and 2 adults. We had more than enough room and still felt cozy. Lisa went out of her way to make our stay special. We will come back!

Beautiful and relaxing!!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this property as a surprise birthday present for my partner. I wanted to take her for a beach getaway, I looked at several beach rentals in this area and others. From the moment we arrived, we loved this property and I was glad I chose this one! Lisa is so helpful and outgoing! The house is beautifully done, Lisa had everything we needed! The bikes are great! The location is wonderful, we could come out of the house and go one or two blocks either way and we were at the beach or our choice of several restaurants! Our stay was amazingly peaceful and relaxing, which was exactly what we were looking for! We were able to stream our Netflix and watch our favorite shows, cook our favorite meals and just relax as if we were at home! Thank you so much Lisa, we look forward to coming back and bringing our daughter with us this time!!

Ok for 2

  • 3 of 5

The property iwas clean, well decorated, and within 2-3 blocks of the beach. Lisa, the owner, was helpful and quick to answer any questions. We were disappointed by the loud street noise, ever present and ongoing until late at night. The Internet is spare and though she offered help, the owner can't help that the cable is located so far from the front of the house you lose service constantly. A few steps from the beach is actually several blocks. The chairs and towels provided were nice. Families with children would not appreciate the trek with equipment. The bikes provided a nice ride in a quiet neighborhood.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry you did not find your stay to be as you intended! Unfortunately this was a last minute request during the beautiful thanksgiving holiday weekend (which is a very popular week). Funny note about family's not staying here since the three other houses I had next door were all families that come two times a year. Nonetheless, I never heard about any issues with noise; had I been notified I could have brought you a water feature or fan to help in the living room which is the room closest to the road. I have since worked with the wifi and 3/4 ths of the house has great strong coverage. the front room however only gets 2 bars. (I am still working to fix this.) The entire area of PAG is only 1 block wide and this house sits 4 houses from the beach. Please watch the video of the house before trying to book. The video is a great way to see what PAG is like, what the walk to the beach is like and what the house is like. This is just simple living and Craftsman bungalow charm a few houses from the beach and across the street from the bay. We hope that this renter finds her perfect paradise beach house in the future and are so sorry we were unable to help her more with her stay here in PAG.

Great beach cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for our family of 4. The couch and chair both pulled out for the kids. It is in great location and is nicely decorated. The updates bathroom was perfect. The only negative was spotty wifi reception but we made it work. I would definitely stay here, again!

True cottage escape

  • 4 of 5

From the time we walked in we felt at home. The bedroom had that true cottage feel. Loved the mornings when the sun came up on the bay and warmed the front of the cottage, shining through the blinds. The cottage was clean, cozy and, Lisa and her team were extremely responsive to any issues. Only suggestion, having a fan run as "white noise" cancels out any road noise you hear from morning commuters. When the unit is closed, you rarely hear anything. The side patio was a wonderful place to have coffee and read the paper. Highly recommend Shaner's Deli for everything from the best breakfast sandwiches to quick items for a great evening meal. Sea Critters cafe for great dinners on the water...and the italian restaurant in Pass-a-Grille, always a favorite. Paradise Grille for great meals on the beach and..rent a cabana for the day from them..so worth it. Also, the Pass-a-Grille historic museum, wonderful history, love the sunshine school.
