Towerhouse - A modern cabin with views of Park City

People4
Bedrooms 1
Bathrooms2
Space 1,200 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

Overview

About the property

Towerhouse is located up a semi-improved road off of I80. In the Winter months you must have an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle with snow tires. The roads are plowed, but snow-packed in the Winter and there are 'steep' grades. This is mountain living at it's best, there are lots of log cabins in this friendly community called Pine Meadows Ranch.

The master bedroom is on the top floor of Towrehouse with an open vaulted view of the pyramid ceiling. Exposed wooden beams highlight this 400 sq ft floor. The house if perfect for a couple. If you have 1-2 extra guests there is an inflatable queen mattress or high-quality foam mattress that can be placed in the living room.

The views are spectacular and the wildlife is plentiful. On a daily basis we will see Deer, Elk, Moose, Hawks etc. We look across the valley to the 3 Park City area ski resorts; Deer Valley, Park City and Canyons. At night we can see the lights of the Heber Valley.

Towerhouse was fetured in the magazine Utah Syle and design when it was built in 1996. At the time it was cutting edge with it's use of green materials, radiant heat and unique architecture. The house is 4-stories with 200sq feet on each floor. There are some interesting features that will catch the eye of any artist or designer.

Marty's concept and drawings became a reality with Gigaplex's Hank Louis as the architect.

Note: Snowstorms - The property manager shovels the stairs before your arrival, but not during your stay. (a shovel will be at the front door) If it snows during your stay, a plow and or blower/tractor may show up to clear the driveway. (you may need to move your vehicle during this process).

It was beautiful, clean and it met all expectations!!!

  • 5 of 5

The TownHouse exceeded our expectations. The owner communicated in a timely manner, which was a big thing for me.

Everything written about the property and the pictures were valid. The set up was amazing, the inside was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms were well stocked , their were extra linens and all the little things you don’t expect were there.

The views from the windows and the 2 nd floor patio made the experience that much greater. We wanted a relaxing getaway and we walked away with memories, we took more than our share of pictures.

We look forward to the next time!!! This was my first time using HomeAway and I just hope that my next experience meets the expectation of this one.

We can’t thank the owner enough for making our first trip to Utah a memorable one.

Thanks,

Bradley and Emily from Texas

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful vistas. The Towerhouse is very comfortable and is a unique and interesting cabin. The kitchen is well supplied (except for lids for the cookware!) and we were able to sleep 4 comfortably with the futon mattress for our 2 girls. We were able to really relax but also have some good adventures hiking and exploring the area. Park City is a quick drive. I would highly recommend staying at the Towerhouse!

Very recharging experience

  • 5 of 5

The views are amazing. The house is so comfortable and cozy. If you want to cook like I did, bring a thermometer because the oven dial is unreadable so you have to guess at the temperature. Wonderful experience!

12 years ago Towerhouse (the name of the house) was only accessible in the winter by snow cat, snowmobile or snowshoes. Today the road is plowed, but remains a snow packed road throughout the winter. Towerhouse is located up a semi-improved road off of I80 at 8000ft. In the Winter months you must have an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle with snow tires. The roads are plowed, but snow-packed in the Winter and there are 'steep' grades.

This is mountain living at it's best. There are lots of log cabins in this friendly community called Pine Meadows Ranch.

The views are spectacular and the wildlife is plentiful. On a daily basis we will see Deer, Elk, Moose, Hawks, Porcupines etc. We look across the valley to the 3 Park City area ski resorts; Deer Valley, Park City and Canyons. At night we can see the lights of the Heber Valley.

Towerhouse was featured in Utah Syle & design when it was built in 1996. At the time it was cutting edge with its use of green materials, radiant heat and unique architecture. The house is 4-stories with 490 sq feet on each floor. There are some interesting features that will catch the eye of any artist or designer.
