Towerhouse - A modern cabin with views of Park City

People4
Bedrooms 1
Bathrooms2
Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

Overview

About the property

Towerhouse is located up a semi-improved road off of I80. In the Winter months you must have an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle with snow tires. The roads are plowed, but snow-packed in the Winter and there are 'steep' grades. This is mountain living at it's best, there are lots of log cabins in this friendly community called Pine Meadows Ranch.

The master bedroom is on the top floor of Towrehouse with an open vaulted view of the pyramid ceiling. Exposed wooden beams highlight this 400 sq ft floor. The house if perfect for a couple. If you have 1-2 extra guests there is a choice of using the pull-out couch or inflatable queen mattress on the floor below the master bedroom. (in the living room / kitchen floor)

The views are spectacular and the wildlife is plentiful. On a daily basis we will see Deer, Elk, Moose, Hawks etc. We look across the valley to the 3 Park City area ski resorts; Deer Valley, Park City and Canyons. At night we can see the lights of the Heber Valley.

Towerhouse was fetured in the magazine Utah Syle and design when it was built in 1996. At the time it was cutting edge with it's use of green materials, radiant heat and unique architecture. The house is 4-stories with 200sq feet on each floor. There are some interesting features that will catch the eye of any artist or designer.

Marty's concept and drawings became a reality with Gigaplex's Hank Louis as the architect.

Note: Snowstorms - The property manager shovels the stairs before your arrival, but not during your stay. (a shovel will be at the front door) If it snows during your stay, a plow and or blower/tractor may show up to clear the driveway. (you may need to move your vehicle during this process).

Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

Great experience! - the Towerhouse is a great place in a beautiful part of Park City. The drive up is an adventure in the snow and being in the mountains with the views the house affords is just awesome. House was clean on move in, had all of the essentials our family required, and we had a blast. Marty the owner is super responsive, helpful, and made the whole booking experience seamless. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in a great area in a killer house.

The Aventure and Dwelling of a lifetime.

  • 5 of 5

'twas a snowy day in Utah. Alas, our Sundance Film Festival-crew arrived amidst one of the worst snow storms within the decade. Despite our preparations, our 4X4 SUV wasn't able to handle the horrid weather. And there we were - two men, two feet of snow, two shovels, and four hours of distress and immobility.

And then he came - A man in shining white SUV and snow-tires - Marty the Conquerer! A hero known for his fierce reputation of being one of the less than fifty Americans who have competed in the Tour de France's century-long history. Chains in hand, and with thoughtful strategy, the soft-spoken Utah native dragged our defunct Korean-made misery out of the wretched snow. Our savior had helped us through the very worst Utah to attend the very best of Sundance.

Marty's Towerhouse property is located up on the hills of Park City with magnificent morning and evening panoramic views of the local area. There are two bathrooms (One French-styled shower, and one Standing shower), 1 master bedroom, and 1 pull-out couch. The interior is tastefully decorated with reclaimed modern approaches, and careful thought has been put into practicality. Marty has taken care to provide plenty of towels and needed accessories in the house for your convenience and pleasure.

There is absolutely no substitute to this lovely property in town, and we would highly recommend that you experience this lovely location and all that it has to offer.

And please - Bring Marty a bottle of wine from wherever you are. He has taken such meticulous care of making your visit comfortable that it's the least we could all do.

Thank you again for the wonderful property Marty. All the best to you!

Christopher and Zack.

Owner's Response: Christopher and Zack, You guys were great, adventurous and had a fantastic outlook on life. Getting your vehicle stuck in 2 Feet of snow would upset many travelers, but you seemed to embrace the experience. I only wish I knew sooner so that you didn't have to dig so long. Come back anytime and good luck with your movies. Regards, Marty

Exceeded Expectations

  • 5 of 5

Towerhouse is beautiful, comfy and more than well-stocked with everything you might need for your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Even in stormy weather. Close enough to town but quiet and secluded. We loved it.

12 years ago Towerhouse (the name of the house) was only accessible in the winter by snow cat, snowmobile or snowshoes. Today the road is plowed, but remains a snow packed road throughout the winter. Towerhouse is located up a semi-improved road off of I80 at 8000ft. In the Winter months you must have an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle with snow tires. The roads are plowed, but snow-packed in the Winter and there are 'steep' grades.

This is mountain living at it's best. There are lots of log cabins in this friendly community called Pine Meadows Ranch.

The views are spectacular and the wildlife is plentiful. On a daily basis we will see Deer, Elk, Moose, Hawks, Porcupines etc. We look across the valley to the 3 Park City area ski resorts; Deer Valley, Park City and Canyons. At night we can see the lights of the Heber Valley.

Towerhouse was featured in Utah Syle & design when it was built in 1996. At the time it was cutting edge with its use of green materials, radiant heat and unique architecture. The house is 4-stories with 490 sq feet on each floor. There are some interesting features that will catch the eye of any artist or designer.
