We are widely travelled, and much prefer the comfort of staying in an apartment on holiday as opposed to the usually sterile atmosphere of a hotel. We love that there is always a lot more space - than a shoebox room. When we rent an apartment ourselves, we expect a clean and functioning apartment with all the amenities we need for an extended stay. A helpful and friendly host who provides lots of information about the city/area is very welcome and we strive to provide this for guests who stay with us!
We think this is one of the best spots to be in Paris - close to the Champs Elysees, Louvre, and the Opera Garnier (we enjoy the performances there), and the Madeleine metro connects us easily to the rest of Paris which we are just a 8min walk from. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area as well.
We were also drawn to the excellent layout and space of the apartment - both bedrooms have equal and easy access to the bathroom. Most of all, we enjoy how much light comes into the living room, making it always a welcoming place for the family to gather.
Make yourself right at home in our apartment - the open and well-equipped kitchen is the key to living like a local, and making a tasty dinner on a few of your evenings. We have upgraded our appliances to include an induction stove, dishwasher as well as new microwave oven and large oven.
The apartment also has a washer/dryer, cable TV, and wireless internet. The communal areas as well as the bedrooms are all spacious and brightly lit.
The apartment was quite comfortable and suited our needs - two adults with two teenage girls. Very clean and tidy - great internet- did not use the TV. Beds were comfortable and linen of good quality. As the apartment is facing the street and on the first (European) floor, the street noise can intrude. However, we were in a busy part of the city so street sounds go with the territory. No nightclub noise, just general street sounds.
The meeting with Valentine to greet us was seamless as we also used the transfer service from CGG which worked out as well after a long travel day. When we departed, we just left the keys and walked out as we had to move up our departure time and Valentine was unable to meet us.
The building felt very secure and the location was very good. Chic area two blocks from the US Embassy.
A few minutes walk to the Metro, grocery and decent bistros. Ten minute walk to the Seine, Louvre and Champs Elysee. The information provided ahead of time regarding shopping locations, restaurants, etc. was quite helpful. This area does not have any "market streets" like Rue Rambuteau or Rue Cler or Rue Montogueil, but these places can easily reached by metro for the foodies in your group.
Some suggestions for improvement of property:
- provide laundry soap, dishwasher machine soap and full dish liquid. When spending over $2000 for a week in an apartment, those items should be included.
- get a decent bread knife for guest use! In France!!!! No need to say more ;-)
Overall a very good experience and I would recommend this flat to anyone who is going to have an extended stay in Paris. I have stayed in Paris many times and will definitely consider working with Welcome2France again. The experience was quite direct and information about the apartment and payments etc. was readily available on their private website.
This was my second time staying at this apartment, loved every minute of it. The apartment is in a perfect location, next to Place de La Madelaine and the Champs Elysee. There are many wonderful restaurants right around the corner from it, as well as great shops. The decor is very modern and upscale, the kitchen very well equipped. This place is simply splendid, I can't wait to go back to it yet again.
I went on a trip to Paris from London at the end of the summer with my husband and two daughters (5 and 2). We were very pleasantly surprised with the flat we booked. The interior was perfect for us - clean and with all the amenities we would need. The location was fantastic exactly what we needed for a few days away exploring Paris. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
A very well located designed apartment! Bright, ventilated, clear and clean. Felt at home the whole time I was there! Amazing location with so much shops and restaurants to discover around. We also went to Buddha Bar restaurant located within the same street. Walking distance to almost everything. I do recommend this place. I am already returning next year!
The apartment is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It is truly a fabulous place and once we arrived we didn't want to leave. There was so much to explore within walking distance, but my family of four was always so happy to return to the apartment.I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone. It is simply a gem!
Bright and clean apartment in an upscale neighborhood. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance. Metro, monoprix and shops are very close. Quiet building, apartment in the first floor, the elevator was not good. Furniture in the living room can be reduced to make space to walk around. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with equipment. washer dryer was good. Bathtub too deep for children. Sam was very helpful and prompt in meeting us for handing over the keys. He provided a quick review of the tourist places close by and how to reach them. It gets very quiet in the night as the area has mostly office buildings and shops. Not that many eating places close by. There are boulangeries down the street and restaurants are on the other side of Madeline church. We used Uber for transport as it rained the whole week. It proved cheaper than the metro for a family of four as most of the museums are very close. Thanks welcome2france for the apartment which was an essential part of the wonderful experience. We felt at home with all the familiar comforts.
