The Cabin was nice and comfortable. We loved being able the see the deer and elk right out the windows. The beds could have been a little more comfortable but not to bad.
We got what we paid for. Pictures are brighter than the cabin, walking in a nail was sticking out of door jam and ripped a hole in my shirt. The stove isn't "rustic" it's dirty and has only one large burner, dials are difficult to read and the grill in the pictures is no longer there. The foundation is so unlevel the doors to the outside don't seal properly, the carpet leading into master bedroom has a large hole and to cover it up they threw down a bath rug. If you plan to cook while there make sure to bring everything you could possibly need. There is one medium size frying pan that has a lid that fits somewhat. We had planned to cook our meals using the grill but, there isn't one on property as pictured. There is wifi available but if it's free at the cabin no password was sent in the email with our instructions or left in the cabin itself. We are planning a trip back this Spring but, we'll be staying elsewhere.
We come to Ruidoso fairly often and try to stay at different places. We were very pleased with this one. It was larger than we expected and very comfortable. We saw a lot of deer, turkey and even a fox! It's pet friendly too.
The cabin was definitely surrounded by pines and wildlife, saw deer in the mornings and some foxes as well. Very quiet and secluded. The cabin was very clean. A few disappointments, the TV didn't work which wasn't too big of a deal since we weren't there that often but it would have been nice to keep up with the Olympics while we were at the cabin. The screen porch was missing some screens so by trying to sit out on the porch at night with the lights on only attracted flying insects. Other than those two items, the cabin certainly served its purpose and we were pleased.
Cabin was in great location and has beautiful views. Very rustic. Nice and private setting but yet close to town. Had all linens and kitchen had everything needed to cook. Was a great trip.
The stay was good. Unfortunately, the Cable and Wi-Fi did not work, the grate on the grill was too rusty to cook on, and we were not sure if the oven was working or not.
