Midtownflatsnyc. We are a centrally located townhouse comprising two separate oversized 4 bedroom apartments each with large living rooms, dining rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Because there are only two units located within the building this vacation rental is considered a legal rental. Make yourself aware of the rental laws in NYC. Beware as most apartment rentals in NYC are ILLEGAL since they are located within a larger building containing 3 apartment units or more. I recommend that you research this yourself on the internet.

The upper and a lower apartments are almost identical in their layout and furnishings and were completely gut renovated and modernized in 2013, everything is brand new from the bathrooms to the kitchen to the furniture. Each of the apartments is an oversized duplex and boasts approximately 2000 Square feet (186+ sq meters) of living space. Unlike most New York apartments each apartment is set up with generous common areas allowing your downtime to be a great social experience with friends and family. The apartments are a mix of old world charm and new contemporary flair, complimented by high ceilings, oversized windows, marble fire mantels and brick walls.

Each apartment features four generously sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each of the four bedrooms has comfy queen sized bed with brand new linens including down comforters with 100% high thread count cotton duvet covers and over flowing with pillows. The open living/dining/kitchen area has plenty of seating and a wall mounted plasma screen television. There is a separate dining area with a large table that can seat 8 comfortably. The kitchen is open format with a kitchen island with additional counter seating.

Each apartment has a laundry area with a washer & dryer, iron and ironing board as well as drying racks. All bathrooms have bathtubs and shower featuring tile walls and floors for a clean look and hygienic environment.

The apartments are professionally cleaned before your arrival and uncluttered.

ABOUT THE BUILDING

The building is a beautiful turn of the century old world townhouse that has been completely renovated and modernized in 2013. The building contains only two apartments, an upper apartment and a lower apartment. Each apartment has its own private gated entrance. There is no elevator within the building.

Born and raised in New York City, Lisa has spent the better part of the last twenty five years in the travel industry, managing the travel needs of demanding New York City corporations and luxury vacationers. During her years in New York City, Lisa has purchased and renovated numerous apartments, becoming intimately familiar with New York City real estate market. In 2008, Lisa began renting her investment condos as short term vacation rental properties, finding a natural merge of her two life interests, travel and real estate, while satisfying the needs of families and groups seeking quality vacation apartment accommodations when visiting New York City. In 2011, when New York State passed a new law making short term rentals illegal in Class A buildings, Lisa was forced to immediately cease from renting her apartments short term. Over the course of the following two years Lisa searched New York City seeking the perfect “legal” two family townhouse and in 2013 located, purchased and gut renovated what is now know as “Midtown Flats”. In the years to follow, Lisa then went onto purchase three additional homes in the Hamptons, a beach resort destination located approximately two hours from New York City. These homes are also available for weekly rentals.

Being a Specialist in Corporate and Leisure travel with Protravel International, Lisa has had the opportunity to experience the best luxury hotels around the world. In 2011 when New York City enacted a law making short term vacation rentals illegal in buildings containing 3 apartments or more and Lisa was forced to remove her condominium units from the vacation rental market. In 2012, Lisa purchased a charming townhouse which contains two individual 4 bedroom units therefore making them available for short term vacation renters.

Great Manhattan condo! a superb choice

Our stay at this condo was fantastic. It was a family trip for our family of 8, with ages ranging from 12 to 84. We loved the open concept and spacious rooms, it had all the needed amenities and everything is aesthetically pleasing. We enjoyed being able to come here to relax and enjoy each others company each day. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to many NYC attractions. Subway was close and Uber was prompt. We had our groceries delivered which made it very convenient, but there are several great restaurants on the same block and stores nearby. We stayed at the downstairs condo which has an outside patio where we could enjoy the outdoors in a private setting. A great choice and will definitely be back!

As described. Perfect for our group and the trip!

Loved that it was just a vacation rental property so it didn't feel like you were in someone's personal space yet still had a very homey accommodating feel to it.

The character of the building and decor was authentic and awesome! The bedroom/bathroom ratio worked perfect for our group (which consisted of myself, my husband, my two sisters, my mother in law, sister in law, and Aunt), all of us but one sharing beds/rooms, but the rooms were big enough to where no one felt cramped at all and the bathrooms were surprisingly big for NYC. Loved the key-less entry system.

Was also pleasantly surprised by the location - numerous great restaurant options right next door on either side. We were coincidently and very conveniently only one block away from the Broadway theatre/show that we had tickets to. The Subway is super close.

We used their recommend concierge service (KEY) to semi-stock our fridge before our arrival - was super easy, very convenient, and loved having it all there so there were no immediate errands needed!! The service was pricey, but worth it for us. And even if we hadn't done the concierge service, there is a RiteAid right around the corner and a proper grocery store about 2 blocks away.

Lisa was very communicative before and throughout our stay when I had questions or needs. You can't get packages delivered to the unit, which was the only inconvenience, but Lisa helped coordinate the package I needed delivered to her office which is just directly across town on the East Side. So definitely not ideal, but I made it work. Food deliveries were fine b/c they will call your cell [or the provided landline] when they get there.

PS The we had Residence One with the very spacious outdoor patio!! Loved it, we had our coffee out there every day (...that it wasn't raining).

Overall a great stay, would highly recommend!

loved it!

we were a group of 6 women, were confortable here and had a great time in new york. the block where the flat is has several dinner options, restaurants going from italian to sushi. after long days of walking up and down the city, coming home to walk 20 meters for a good dinner is priceless. the flat is exactly as pictures show it, no surprises. comfortable, spacious, clean, well equiped, all you can ask for a perfect holiday in new york!!

Fabulous location, airy, roomy and exceptionally convenient for a family or families.

This apartment is spacious, clean, and in a fabulous central location to everything you want to see in the midtown area. We spent the week of Christmas in NYC and couldn't have picked a more comfortable place to stay for our time. After exploring all day knowing we would come home to our fabulous apartment was a real treat. It made our time in NYC so enjoyable. The apartment has all the amenities you need for a stay, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen and a lovely patio, which we didn't use due to the fact it was winter time. The owner was exceptionally responsive and accommodating when we had one issue come up with with radiator heating up the apartment too high, she immediately made the modifications needed to accommodate the heat within the apartment. I'd recommend staying at this property you will not be disappointed.

Awesome Stay in Midtown

We had an amazing stay in this spacious unit. This is a long overdue review of truly a beautiful place. We can't say enough good things about it. Location was great, the unit was as described and exceeded our expectations and Lisa was amazing to work with! Hope to stay again this summer!!

Perfect Place for Our Stay in New York

My buddies and I come to New York every March. We came across this rental three years ago and have looked to rent it each year since. Clean, well-maintained, great layout, big bedrooms, and convenient for all of our favorite bars and restaurants in NY as well as Times Square and Madison Square Garden. Lisa made the check in and check out process totally effortless and was always quick to get back to us with any questions we had. We are already looking forward to staying there again in 2017!
