Ban Ton Mai is a gated boutique development of twelve two-story townhouses. Our home is set in lushly landscaped gardens and framed by gracious travelers palms. The open plan living area is on the ground floor, with the lounge leading onto a patio overlooking the swimming pool. The European kitchen is fully fitted and is a pleasure to cook in. A powder room is located off the living room. Both bedrooms are en suite and on the second floor, with the front bedroom having a secluded balcony and outdoor furniture perfect for curling up with a book or communing with nature. The swimming pool is shared with the other owners of the project and has both chaise longues and a covered sala for entertaining. Resident caretakers on site look after the gardens and ensure privacy and security.
We are Canadians living in Abu Dhabi, and we purchased our place in Koh Samui as a home away from home. We love our holiday stays there, and after having kept Ban Ton Mai to ourselves for several years, are now ready to let others share in its pleasure.

We first visited Koh Samui over twenty five years ago, and made frequent visits back, lured by the scenic beauty of the island and the gentle and easy-going nature of the people. The island has changed of course, over the years, and while some people may bemoan the loss of the 'good old days' when electricity was supplied only by generators, and grass huts were standard accommodation, we appreciate the improved infrastructure and the addition of great restaurants and accessible commodities. And if we get up early enough and head out on our motorbike, we can still see the monks on their morning rounds, brass bowls in hand and saffron robes on body. The sunrises and sunsets are as beautiful as they ever were, and the beaches still beckon. It is a little piece of paradise, is Samui.
Ban Ton Mai is our sanctuary. We have all the creature comforts we need, including a big flat screen for my husband's viewing pleasure, and sharp Henckels knives for my forays into decent cooking. But more than that, we like the minimalist lines and design of the home, and our favorite spot of all, the terrace upstairs, hidden from view in a canopy of palm trees, with a constant breeze breathing calm on the beauty around us.
I enjoyed this stay very much. The house is excellent. I highly recommend it.
Everything was perfect but I was very surprised not to find a hairdryer as there was everything else imaginable in the house.One has to have transport as the local taxi drivers complained everytime we tried to get home because of the hill.
My partner and I just got back from a wonderful vacation there and already can't wait to go back! Samui is a beautiful island and this home reflects it well. When we arrived, the place was ready for us with lots of soft, fresh towels in the cupboards and fluffy duvets on the beds (which are so comfortable that it makes you want to spend all day in bed, which is a lot to say when you're staying on a tropical island). The house was stylish and comfortable with little touches that made special - two pairs of hotel-style slippers to wear around the house, the chairs set up on the upstairs balcony where you can sit shielded by the palmtrees at night and listen to the crickets, and the fish in the big terracotta plant pot outside the entrance overlooking the pool. Everyone was very attentive there as well- the gas tank ran out while we were there and was replaced the same day, and the man from the car rental that was suggested to us by the homeowners dropped the car off at the house and took us to the airport when he came to pick it up. Very good value for money as well, less expensive than you would find any decent hotel for, and nicer to have a whole house to yourself than be stuck in a hotel room! All in all a wonderful experience, I would recommend this place to anyone, and am already planning my next trip back.

Belle résidence dans un endroit calme et très bien entretenue .La piscine est un plus et l'appartement est conforme à la description, très propre, agréable et bien équipé. Chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bains et les lits sont immenses !! Merci à Monsieur Haan pour sa disponibilité et sa rapidité à nous répondre et merci à son agent, Madame OH pour son accueil chaleureux et sa gentillesse. Nous recommandons cette location.
Nous avons séjourné à 4 dans la maison de M. Haan et nous avons savouré chaque seconde de notre semaine. Tout était conforme à la description faite dans l'annonce: l’équipement de la maison en général, la cuisine très agréable, la literie de qualité, le linge de maison immaculé, une grande piscine bien entretenue avec un côté sécurisé pour les enfants. La maison est idéalement située, à proximité des points d'intérêts sur l'ile. En dépit d'une arrivée tardive, nous avons été accueilli à l'aéroport par la gérante de la propriété Mme Ho que nous remercions pour sa gentillesse et le propriétaire, M. Haan, s'est montré à l'écoute de nos besoins et réactif à chacun de nos mails, sachant trouver opportunément une solution à nos problèmes (nous n'avions pas de lit bébé), nous l'en remercions chaleureusement. Je recommande cette adresse et ne manquerai pas d'y revenir avec ma famille lors de notre prochain séjour en Thaïlande.
Ban Ton Mai is located in a quiet upscale residential neighborhood located in Bophut, on the north side of the island. A five minute drive in one direction takes you to the famous Fisherman's Village, home to a wide range of seafront restaurants and interesting shops, as well as two of the island's many beaches. Five minutes in another direction takes you to the more day-to-day shops of Tesco and Big C for grocery shopping. Five minutes from home is the Bophut Hills Golf Club. The main centre of Chaweng is about 15 minutes away; this is the hub for nightlife and entertainment.
