The area

Angel is an eclectic neighbourhood, famous for its nightlife and collection of iconic local pubs, stylish cocktails bars, renowned international restaurants and upmarket, boutique shopping. One of the most in-demand places to live in London, this safe and eco-friendly neighbourhood is also popular with celebrities – Emma Watson, Boris Johnson, James McAvoy, Colin Firth and Lily Allen are all famous faces that have called this vibrant area home in the last few years.

Yet despite it’s amazing reputation and convenient Zone 1 location, the area still has a relaxed, trendy atmosphere. Getting around

The apartment is located on Upper Street, an extremely accessible location for all of Central London, North, South, East or West and with unbeatable transport links.

Angel tube station and Highbury-Islington tube station are both 5 minutes walk away and there is a bus stop right outside the apartment. You can even rent bicycles from automatic stations nearby.

There is public (pay and display) parking for your car, should you chose to drive into London. You can park on the street, or a nearby indoor carpark. However, we recommend public transport instead, as it’s far easier and quicker to explore London in this way.

BOOKING AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The apartment consists of a 3rd floor of a renovated period building, accessed by stairs. Entry is via an intercom with buzzer for security, all doors have two locks.

It can be rented for short stays from 2-3 nights, with discounts for stays of 6 nights or more. This discount increases for 12 nights or more, and bookings can be made for stays of 2-3 months. The price is inclusive of all utility charges and taxes, with no surprise extras.

All bedding, sheets, and towels are provided, with checkout cleaning and laundry also included. Should you wish to do laundry during your stay, there is a washing machine in the apartment.

This flat is managed by a professional support team who consistently provide outstanding customer care. The multilingual team speak English, Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish, to answer all your questions and needs.

Super location, great finishes, clean and comfortable just like being at home.

High Speed Internet/WIFI connections. Top floor so very quiet, and with double-glazed windows throughout. Very bright with natural light, and with blackout blinds for comfort. It has a great open-plan spacious feel as a 1 bedroom apartment.

Fantastic location, clean, charming and a quiet night's sleep!

We stayed in Paulo's flat for a week this past May while visiting family and sightseeing. Anita was there to greet us and was extremely friendly and helpful while showing us around the apartment. Everything was clean and smartly decorated. The large living room windows let in lots of light in the morning, and allowed us a bird's eye view of the street life below. The bedroom is in the back and we had very comfortable and quiet sleeps, even though the apartment is located in the heart of Upper Street. The location was fantastic, with many excellent restaurants and shops just a few steps away. Two Tube stations are close by and it was very easy to get to the heart of everything from this location. Paulo was an excellent host and promptly responded during all our communications. We loved our stay!

Realistic reviews , central location , small clean no surprises

We are frequent users of home away and similar services and often go to London. The reviews on this place were correct . We liked the location and it would be especially good for people who know London a little. Easy to get to places in the north of the city and kings cross.

The third floor apartment is next to a pub/theater and prior reviews suggested it might be noisy. We did not have any problems in fact if closed the windows you heard nothing. The apartment is on a main street so expect some noise but it did not bother us.

Paolo communicated clearly with us and his team was easy to reach and very friendly. We had one little issue and they were accessible and help solve the problem

The apartment was clean, the wi fi worked well and you are close to two tube stops

We liked the area lots of restaurants and fun to walk over all very good

The apartment has secondary glazed windows- which are sound-proof and heating insulated as well, for our guests comfort. We also have blackout blinds and curtains for a nice night sleep, as well as many other carefully decorated and equipped spaces.

Fall stay in London apartment

We just spent four nights in London and enjoyed our time there a lot. The location of the apartment is great within about seven minutes walk to Angel tube stop. Paolo was very helpful in allowing us to check in early 11:30am since our flight arrived very early in the morning. We appreciated that. The apartment was nice for us although the pictures (as pictures do) make it appear a little bigger than it is with furniture being moved. The blinds in the windows were not working well so we had very little light when we were there during the daytime. The housekeeper had apologized and said they were going to be fixed but unfortunately that did not happen while we were there. The location of the bed is a little tight near the bedroom door and both of us slammed our shins into the bed once or twice because of the cramped layout. It was still a good value for the money.

Amazing location, fabulous flat, Paulo was so helpful & easy to work with, we would stay here again!

We stayed here for a month & loved it! Location, location, location. This flat was in an amazing part of town, 2 tube stops each on different lines are right there, a few minutes walk or reachable by bus if your exhausted from your busy day or saving your feet for sightseeing. 4 bus lines with stops just infront of the flat going in either direction, including a night bus so we could get home anytime. So easy to get anywhere, close to everything. Loved taking the busses to see all the sites in this terrific borough. Right in the heart of London but with a neighborhood atmosphere. Safe, good area. Never concerned to walk around with my 10 year old son anytime of day or night. Many great grocery stores right there & Paulo had a trolley for our use in the flat so that we could do a big shop. Zaco's, a small 24 hour shop just next door had everything you could need (especially helpful when arriving late at night & needing sustenance!) Restaurants!!!! Upper Street is lined with them, every different type of food. Both dine in & take away, we walked to a different place almost every night. Lots of places open late too so we had plenty of time to sightsee, come home clean up & still go out for a great meal. The flat was perfect for us. The kitchen was so well equipped, we had everything we needed. The beds & pillows were wonderful. Good ventilation, fans & the air moved through the flat well. It was decorated so nicely with great artwork in all the rooms & hallway, even in the kitchen! Really attractively done. We had our 10 year old son with us & he was impressed with the PS3, the flat screen, cable channels (we were too). Hot water, endless! We could all shower, do dishes & laundry without a problem & great water pressure! Lots of lovely amenities, shampoo, nice hand soap, dish cleaner & sponges, laundry soap, trash bags, hangers, etc. Paulo was great to work with. Such quick response while we were booking, really helpful, super friendly. Very detailed with all the information that we needed. In the flat there is a manual that literally describes EVERYTHING that you need to know about the flat & staying there, plus neighborhood info. It was amazing & super helpful. I had no questions after I'd read it. We had zero problems while there but Paulo has many fail-safes in place should an issue arise & that was comforting. Loved it loved it loved it. We would stay there again in a second or would stay in another of Paulo's properties with great confidence!

Very comfortable, lovely location

We had a great time in London and our apartment was very comfortable. It was close to the tube and buses and loads of places to eat and shop.

Everything we needed was at our fingertips.

I was aware of the stairs to the apartment, however if you have heavy luggage, it is a narrow, double spiral stairway to the top floor.( I was surprised thinking it would be a straight stairway with landings between floors). It would not keep us from staying again.

Amazing Stay wonderful apartment!

The apartment was extremely clean, very well presented, practical and very comfortable I slept like a baby. fully equipment Kitchen and PS4 was a treat! The are is great lots of shops and restaurants with very good transports tube just around the corner! I will definitely stay next year! Paulo was practical and helpful thanks for a job well done!
