A beautiful blend of the Pacific Northwest and Asian culture, this home offers three sleeping areas and can accommodate 6 people. Currently, 2 beds in house. Extra bed available on request.
From the cedar pillars the home rests on to the king-size bed shipped in from Indonesia, every square inch of this exquisite home is custom-built. Entry stairs seduce you into the warm entry where woodwork compliments slate. Inside, a warm fire greets you as the reading nook nestled next to it calls your name.
Easily accommodating five people, the 4-inch highly polished dining table crafted from Indonesian suar hardwood graces the windows that overlook island-studded salt water where eagles and herons soar and glide the blue waters of Skagit Bay.
Windows in the fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, convection oven and Sub-Zero refrigerator also overlook the bay. Please see the amenities page for a list of kitchen accessories.
The downstairs bedroom, decorated with Pacific Northwest Native American Artwork sleeps two in a comfy over-sized king bed also imported from Indonesia. The main floor also offers an oversized shower. Separately is a laundry area.
The upstairs bedroom offers a queen-size bed and a full bath with soaking tub. Both rooms overlook Skagit Bay. All beds are dressed in down-comforters.
Outdoors is a gas BBQ, a dining area with plenty of chairs for family and friends. A small covered deck offers shade from the sun or a place to sit while it’s raining.
Skagit Bay at your front door is a photographer’s paradise. On any given day you’ll hear the high screech of bald eagles, the clack-clack-clack of a kingfisher as he dives for his dinner, the comforting sounds of seagulls and the ancient call of the loon. Grab your binoculars and watch resident seals swim up and down the bay when the mud flats are full at high tide. Snap a memory of the moon setting over the islands.
Skagit County offers delightful getaways all year around: The Tulip Festival in April, Arts Alive in November, The Poetry Festival, The Farm Festival and plenty of shopping, golfing, kayaking, tide pool wandering at Deception Pass and whale watching. And don’t forget, we have some of the finest restaurants north of Seattle in downtown La Conner and Anacortes.
A short 15-minute drive puts you at Deception Pass State Park, Chuckanut Drive, Washington Park, San Juan Island Ferry terminal or Whistle Lake in Anacortes – all awaiting your walking shoes and camera.

13 Moons was built by real craftsmen in the NW Canadian style of architecture. Post and beam log construction, Natural elements of wood, stone, glass and metal were chosen to balance the project. An Asian influenced discipline, zenlike and calm in detail.
Appreciation of nature and creating a beautiful space was my goal. This is a retreat for love and rejuvenation.

I stayed at a Pull & be Damned beach house when I was a kid. My Mom rented a small place for the Summer. It was old fashioned Pacific Nortwest fun. Later in life, I found this beach again and fixed up a tiny waterfront cabin nestled in the woods. After years went by, I found an abandoned area on the same stretch of beach. It had sat empty for 8 years and had accumulated junk from the old residents long gone. I thought it was a diamond in the rough. I decided to take it on and make it as lovely as I could. We live about 20 miles from this beach, often I just go out for an hour or two to recharge my spirit. I walk with my dogs on the isolated beach. I paddle my kayak or canoe out to the little islands in the bay. It is the perfect place for me to share. I hope that others will be inspired and relaxed when they are at 'The Cabin'.
Watching the herons and eagles.Kayaking or canoeing to the little islands in Skagit Bay. Bicycle the paved one way beach access lanes.
Life is just a little sweeter when you are tucked in at a cozy cabin.
This gorgeous cabin and it's views & surrounds are beyond spectacular. Every detail, every TINY DETAIL is impeccable and I can't imagine a single way to improve on it! The ambiance, the decore, the goreous tub & walk in shower, romatic fireplace, full service kitchen, beautiful attention to detail, it was a dream.
Also being so close to downtown LaConner, you could take a quick drive over the "peach bridge" for yet another walk on the water or romantic dinner or just ice cream, but none of that is even necessary with the beachfront in the gorgeous views at the cabin. This place is fit for a honeymoon .... Which is worth mentioning , since in the magic of our surroundings in the middle of that beautiful living room , with the fire place going in the gorgeous view of the water , my love proposed to me ❤️ This place has magic! We plan to come back and there's a good chance I might go back for a girls gettaway as well 😍
We loved our stay here for New Years Eve. The house is absolutely beautiful and the view is stunning! We appreciated that the house was stocked with everything we needed; pots, pans, plates, cooking oil, towels, etc. I would love to come back and stay here sometime in the summer!
We absolutely loved this property. Every detail, from the impeccable decor to the well-stocked kitchen with high quality utensils and appliances, to the bath essentials were fantastic. We could have easily stayed here a week and would love to return. Perfect for 1-2 couples. Loved, loved, loved the long wooden dinner table by the floor to ceiling glass windows and the incredibly comfortable swivel rockers by the fireplace. Beds were very comfortable and the sheets silky soft. Thank you so much for sharing your vacation home!
Loved our stay here...we felt pampered and can not think of one thing I would change. Thankyou for your attention to detail. Can't say enough about the views, the quiet, the cool weather. Felt like we were sleeping in a tree house. Cannot wait to return. We came here after Alaska cruise, and this was my favorite part of the vacation!
My three best mommy friends and I stayed a family free weekend here. Upon our arrival we were blown away by how GORGEOUS this place is. The fact that it was completely stocked made it a totally stress free weekend. We were even greeted with wine and chocolate. We had a perfectly relaxing weekend filled with eating, drinking, basking in the sun on the private deck. A blissful stay in paradise just an hour from home. You will NOT regret it!
13 Moons is a beautiful home!!! I love how it is decorated and Mary Jayne pays attention to detail. It was sleeping in a jewel box. The great shampoos and lotions she had was a nice bonus too. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. You can't go wrong with this property! Love, Love, Love!
