Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
Hello! We are the Haines Family. We are the owners of the 'Honey Pot' cabin as of September 2012. We bought this cabin together because of our love for the Smoky Mountains. We are so excited to share this wonderful cabin with you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Thanks for your interest!
Gregg purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Gregg chose Pigeon Forge
Our family has been vacationing in this area for years. Kate and I married here and my parents Steve and Marsha honeymooned in Gatlinburg 35 years ago. This is one of our favorite places to come and since we come so often we decided to buy a cabin. This cabin has been well maintained by the previous owners and we vow to do the same. Our family loves hiking through the mountains especially at places like Clingman's Dome and Laurel Falls. You will never find a cleaner amusement park than Dollywood that is located 10 minutes away! We also recommend attending the Dixie Stampede for delicious food and great entertainment. The arts and crafts community tour begins just minutes from the bottom of the hill. Also, if you are in town during the season, you have to attend at least one of the Smokies Minor League Baseball games. There are so many activities for the kids and the baseball is great!
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin is centrally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in a gated community. Dollywood, Splash Country, National Park, Craft District, Shopping Outlets, etc. are only minutes away. The cabin is easily accessible from many directions and has paved roads throughout. You will enjoy the privacy you have with this wooded property that sits on 1.5 acres.

Not a typical trip
Our trip was during the Covid19 pandemic and we were not sure we would be able to stay. The host communicated with us the day before our trip and offered a full refund if we did not feel comfortable traveling. We still came and truly enjoyed the cabin. We did not go do the normal tourist things instead we just stayed in the cabin enjoying the beautiful views and played board games at night. Thank you Greg for allowing me and my family the use of this wonderful cabin.
John, Thanks for staying at the cabin during these unprecedented times. Cabins are a place that make it a little easier to just stay at home and isolate yourself. I am glad you got to spend some family time in the mountains before the order from the state was put in place. Keep us in mind for future stays and stay healthy!
Was a wonderful long weekend in Pigeon Forge. The property was clean, well equipped and spacious. I travelled with my wife and two children along with 2 young adult friends and a dog. Greg was an awesome owner with lightning fast communications. Highly Recommended.
Super cute little cabin! Met all of our expectations and owner is great! Just what we needed for a long weekend getaway!
Todd, thanks so much for staying. Let us know if you need to getaway again! We would love to have you back!
Great Cabin & Great Owner
Our family spent Christmas in this lovely cabin. The cabin was very clean and has everything you need for an extended stay. We loved having 3 floors so everyone had their own privacy. The most important thing was the owner Gregg. Gregg went above and beyond to make sure we had a great Christmas and even put a tree up for our stay. He also allowed us to check-out late Christmas Day without us even asking - it was his nice gesture. We will definitely return for another stay. I highly recommend renting from Gregg - he’s a wonderful person. Again, thank you Gregg for everything and we will see you again.
Thanks so much for choosing the honey pot cabin and the kind review. We love the three levels as well to give everyone their own space. Keep us in mind when you return to the Smokies!
The water in the cabin smelled so bad that when we showered we had to open the doors to air it out. I have never smelled water that smelled so badly. It was such a strong smell that when you washed your hands with it, it made your hands stink. We only used it for showering because we had no other option.
I first want to completely apologize for the smell in the water. I wish you would have let us know during your stay so we could have gotten someone up there to take care of the issue. We were notified in November of a slight smell and thought the well just needed its biannual shock. However, after reading your review and getting someone up to the cabin, there was an issue with our water heater and filtration system. The issue is now resolved. If you ever decide to return, we will be more than happy to make things right. We just need to know about issues as soon as possible so we can take care of them quickly.
Perfect Mountain Getaway
My family and I stayed for 3 nights, and it was a great cabin for us. My husband and I enjoyed the main floor bedroom, while my parents stayed in the upstairs bedroom, and my daughter and son-in-law stayed in the downstairs bedroom. It was nice that we all had our own floor. The beds were very comfortable. The only recommendations that I have are that the king size beds could use either bigger or more pillows, and the bathrooms could use a few more towels. Also, since the bedrooms don't have closets for hanging clothes and coats, maybe adding some hooks or some other device to a wall in each bedroom to help solve that issue. But those small inconveniences in no way would deter us from returning. The cabin was spotlessly clean..which is very important to me. It was just secluded enough to offer privacy, but not isolated. It's in a beautiful gated community. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and always responded promptly when needed. We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful cabin.
Cheri, Thank you so much for the review and recommendations. We will definitely get more towels and pillows when we are down there the first of the year. Keep us in mind if you decide to return to the Smokies.
