Our family just fell in love with this sunset view from the deck! We find this cabin to be a very relaxing and calming change from our usually hectic lives, and love to get away when we can. Hope you will enjoy this mountain cabin as much as we do!
Angie purchased this cabin in 2011
Love the mountain views and the safe and quiet neighborhood.
We enjoyed our stay in your cabin a lot. It was very cozy and suitable for our group of five. The location was nice too, many nice places nearby, such as Berkeley Springs, and a nice terrain for walking. We enjoyed the wood stove and the grill very much. The terrace (deck) was the most popular eating spot! We made very good use of it--reading, napping, using the computer all took place on the deck. Thank you very much!
This was a great getaway for my family for a few days. It was warm and inviting and just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed which was a plus. Additiinally, Angie was very responsive to any questions we had. Thank you!!!! It was a wonderful mini vacation.
We loved staying here, it was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook really great meals, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, and the views were lovely. The house was nice and clean when we arrived, and our toddler loved playing with the toys we found there. We made s'mores around the campfire and enjoyed fishing at the pond. Angie was very easy to work with, she replied quickly when I asked about the coffee pot (it's a regular coffee maker, not a Keurig, in case you were wondering). We would love to come back and stay here again in the future!
We had a great time staying here. Angie was right about the cool night air. We were there in the high 90s and we didn't need the air conditioning at all. Had some nice walks down the road and the area was absolutely breathtaking. We went to the little church down the road on route 50 and they were great people as well. We couldn't have had a better weekend. Angie was also right about El Puente in capon springs. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Thanks for letting us use the cabin and hopefully we will be back
My husband and two sons very much enjoyed our recent stay - we appreciated the quiet, cozy vibe. The cabin came equipped with thoughtful touches, like laundry detergent, coffee filters, tissues, etc, which was very convenient in those moments when you realize you've forgotten to pack something vital. The beds were comfortable, and it seemed the master bath, in particular, had been recently updated.
My only constructive criticism would be about the furniture offered in the main living space; we all agreed that we'd prefer a comfy upholstered chair (or two), rather than being provided with two high-top tables. Perhaps the outdoor furniture being stored inside could also be placed elsewhere to free up space?
Overall, we thank you, Angie, for sharing your home with us. I could definitely see us renting it again, perhaps during the Fall, when I imagine the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, and we could take advantage of the beautiful deck you have running the length of the back of the house.
The cabin was very relaxing and very nice. Beautiful view off the back end of the house. My only downfall was no television. I didn't know going. This wasn't a big deal, and wouldn't of mattered to me at all but we caught bad weather and it rained every day. But it honestly was a blessing in disguise and made it much for relaxing.
Other then that, it was a great time and we will be returning again.
This was a nice get-away location. The "shopping" and "things to do" were a little mis-leading...this is more of a get away from city life place. The stores ae more gas-station type stores and dollar stores (but the latter had a lot of items in it). It is great for pets and elementary aged children...I would not take small kids (toddlers) there, because there are a lot of rocks, inclines, and thick underbrush. There is a pond close by that was excellent for fishing...we caught about 30 blue gill and catfish in about 2.5hrs. Our dog swam in the pond and had a ball...there is a also a place to have a nice family picnic. The cabin is average size and has most all amenities. The cookware is pretty dated and there is no AC...not a place I would go in July-August, but it was bearable in June. They also had a nice fire pit outside, which was perfect for making s'mores. Overall, we had a good time, and I would go again...most probably in the fall when the mountain should be filled with colorful leaves.
Property has access to community lake perfect for swimming and fishing. Public access to scenic Cacapon River nearby off Cacapon River Rd. Beautiful countryside surrounded by mountains.
