Looking for an epic stay in the heart of the Canmore/Banff/Lake Louise Rocky Mountains? Look no further! Our premier south-facing mountain view chalet is located in a small 'n intimate resort just minutes away from downtown Canmore. We are proudly & independently owner-operated -- Out'n About Vacation Chalets was established January 1st, 2012. Our numerous customer reviews speak for themselves.

Imagine stepping from your car and into our pristine, cozy and comfortable Rocky Mountain-themed chalet. You'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring mountain views from our south facing windows and patio. Kick back and relax in front of the fire, or head out with your family or companions to our year round heated outdoor pool and hot tub for a well-deserved soak. Our 900 sq. ft. two-story chalet (maximum of 6 occupants) has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is fully and very comfortably furnished. The well equipped kitchen comes complete with a complimentary Keurig coffee maker along with a selection of K-Cups, and a "Pay it Forward" mini-bar for your enjoyment. We’ve also added a blender for your healthy smoothies to start off the day, a slow cooker and rice cooker for savoury family-friendly comfort meals simmering away while you’re out ‘n about. If you prefer to chill 'n grill, two common area BBQ’s are nestled in our lovely, private common area courtyard steps away from our chalet.

We offer many personal touches to enhance your stay. These include private, free, high speed, VERY reliable WIFI and besides Cable TV, we have also have installed Smart/AppleTV/Netflix TV options so you can enjoy hundreds of on-demand movies, TV shows, concerts, WSJ Live, Bloomberg channels for news, and more! In addition, your stay includes a complimentary copy of the owners "Out'n About Banff & Canmore" guidebook that's chock full of great ideas on what to do in our wonderful area. We know you'll love it! And, in 2017, entry into Banff National Park is FREE!! It's Canada's 150th birthday so come on over and help us celebration 150 years of Confederation eh!

Situated around our welcoming courtyard, immerse yourself in Canmore's pristine mountain community -- Canmore residents are listed as some of the happiest people in Canada! Our lovely resort is a 10-minute walk to downtown Canmore – a wonderful uncomercialized western mountain town that now boasts over 100 unique shops and 75+ gourmet restaurants. There are kilometers of forested walking paths located just outside our doors. You might also want to check out Canmore's new $40M recreation center – Elevation Place – boasting a huge climbing wall, multiple pools, a lazy river, watersides, hot tub, steam room, library, art gallery, drop in fitness/yoga classes and a great work out facility.

Our chalet is a 15 minute drive to the BANFF/LAKE LOUISE NATIONAL PARK gates and a 20 minute drive over to the KANANASKIS and PETER LOUGHHEED PROVINCIAL PARKS – a year-round recreational and scenic paradise right at your doorstep. We are a 50 minute drive up to spectacular Lake Louise.

In addition to this mountain view chalet, we also offer four additional chalets at this resort -- all exactly the same layout, and the same comfortable & cozy interior furnishings and amenities. We bought two chalets at Mystic Springs as vacation properties/investments to enjoy with our two daughters while living in Edmonton. We loved Canmore so much, we moved here permanently in 2005. As an avid outdoor family, we've hiked, biked, kayaked, rock-climbed, nordic and downhill skied everywhere throughout our wonderful area -- Canmore and Banff are truly a mountain lovers four season paradise. We know you'll love it too!

Why Donna Scott chose Alberta

This is by far the most unique family friendly property in Canmore. Only 44 townhome-style units comprise this quaint resort and all are wrapped around a beautiful courtyard that houses a huge outdoor pool that is heated year-round and a fabulous 12-person hot tub. We loved the fact that you can drive right up to your chalet - no elevators, long corridors to deal with while unloading all your gear. It is a full 2 storey townhome concept so there is no one tromping around on top of you either - nice and quiet! Our chalets also have ski lockers to safely store your gear. There are picnic tables and barbecues beside the pool area that are available to use. There is also a common area movie/games room with a 65' flat screen 3D TV equipped with XBox Kinect, 3D movies and ping pong/foos ball tables everyone will enjoy. A true home away from home in a friendly, intimate boutique resort community.

2nd Stay with Out'n About as Good if not Better!!

This was our second "out'n about" chalet stay and again, we were very impressed! The chalet has been painted giving it a fresh and light atmosphere and Donna has added new bedding, area rugs and paintings that make it really homey. We appreciated the Christmas accents and the kids LOVED the Harry Potter closet. Played in there for hours with the toys and games Donna has provided.

We were able to hike up Grotto Canyon and take in the Inukshuk village people have made -- had loads of fun making our own to add to the hundreds that are already there. Per Donna's recommendation, we also took the kids to the new Cave and Basin museum and up the gondola in Banff. Both were very impressive given millions have been spent on upgrading both facilities!

Practically Perfect!

First of all, Donna, you rock when it comes to upfront personal customer service! Our requests for an early check in and a fold'n go crib for junior were met immediately and upon arrival, we were also met with a full host of stuffed animals and games that kept our son fully occupied for the duration of our stay. Our older son so enjoyed the "Harry Potter" closet that also was decorated and equipped with toys, games and a cozy rug.

We appreciated the pool noodles for our swims, and Donna's book provided us with ample ideas on where to take the kids both indoors and out. We highly recommend out'n about chalets to anyone looking for an authentic Canmore Rockies holiday.

Nice condo in a great location

We enjoyed our stay in 114, property was as advertised good value for the rate charged. Donna was very responsive to any questions/concerns that we had (even though she wasn't in town). Her guide book is excellent, would stay again.

The property is fantastic

Overall our stay was fantastic – the condos were clean, in great shape and very welcoming. The coffee pods and Banff park parking passes were wonderful touches. In 114 the fleece comforters are amazing and the artwork in the living room is beautiful - all of the personal touches were truly great.

I really have nothing but good things to say overall, we will definitely be back!
