About Meghan Pope
Hi! We are a family of six from SE Washington. We run a couple of campgrounds/RV parks: one named Tamarack RV Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and the other, Beach RV Park in Benton City, Washington. We love traveling, camping, and sailing.
Meghan Pope purchased this Cabin in 1999
Why Meghan Pope chose Coeur d'Alene
This vacation home is just off Government Way in Coeur d'Alene, in a prime location across from Costco, Black Sheep Warehouse, and Safeway. It's centrally located between Lake CDA and the town of Hayden Lake. We love the water of the lake, and the convenience of the surrounding shops and stores! The Lumberjack Bunkhouse fits perfectly within our Tamarack RV Park...tall pines line the streets of the RV Park, and give one the feeling of being out in the woods.
What makes this Cabin unique
With the Lumberjack Bunkhouse, you can enjoy the quaint, brickstone patio with picnic tables and flower planters, in the center of our Tamarack RV Park. It is a comfortable gathering place for your family or group. Enjoy cooking on the BBQ grill or watching the goldfish in their pond with a waterfall. The Lumberjack Bunkhouse is also a great jump-off location for exploring Silverwood Theme Park 15 miles to the north. Or drive east to Kellogg, Idaho, to enjoy a gondola ride up the hill to silver mines and explore an old west town! Farragut State Park is also close by.

I have stayed numerous times in one the cabins when I come into town for work and I have always had a great experience from the owners of the property they are always very accommodating and helpful and so much more of homily feel than you can ever receive from a hotel stay and it’s just want i am looking for not to mention it’s quite and convenient to stores and provides laundry facilities on site I would recommend this place for anyone for vacation or business
Nice Cabin, Noisy neighbors
The cabin was nice. I enjoyed the rustic feel and look. I was confused to where the light switch was for the main bedroom lights but I could've just been blind. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and made me feel at home. The only complaint I'd have would be the noisy campers / neighbors. Some of them played their music loud enough to the point it kept me up most of the time I was there. it's for that reason I gave 3 stars on the location and neighborhood. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.
Cozy and cute cabin
Great Location but missing a few things....
I found the cabin to be generally clean. Has some missed corners of the room but other than that pretty clean. The double bed is pretty old and squeaky and not wonderful to sleep on. The only hot plate was a single hot plate so if you plan to eat out every night then I guess it’s ok? I found the staff to be very nice and the property was very clean. The wifi was never figured out properly on my end as we couldn’t figure out how to do the premium.
However, we enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay in the RV park but it didn’t meet the eating needs.
Krystal, thank you for your review! It was a pleasure hosting. I am sorry you did't like the double bed, perhaps it is time to replace it. As our description states The Lumberjack does not have full kitchen. It is best for PB&J meals or the like. I am very sorry you were experiencing problems with the wifi. We did have a couple days where our wifi in that part of the park was down, I am very sorry this affected you.
Lumberjack cabin for the win
Having four kids can be challenging for staying anywhere. The lunberjack cabin had enough sleeping room for my kids to bed hope while my husband and I could sleep in our own bed. We had just what we needed for the 4 night stay. Just make sure to bring extra things like napkins, bleach wipes,
and coffee filters. We paid it forward but, you can never be too careful. It was quiet while we slept and close to everything we did. We would stay again for sure.
Leah, thank you for taking the time to review us! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family! I am so sorry there weren't enough supplies for your family. We do provide all of those things, I'm sorry I didn't know you were running low.
Nice cabin, quiet
Good experience. Good location. Quiet campground. Need a couple more comfortable chairs
Matthew, thank you for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate your feedback.
We are right in between 2 big lakes, Hayden Lake 2 miles to the north of us and Lake Coeur D Alene just 2 1/2 miles to the south. Just 13 miles south of Silverwood theme park and water park. If your here in the winter months Triple Play indoor water park is only 1 mile to the north.
