This well appointed five-bedroom, four and a half bathroom, two-story Gulf view home features an in ground pool with fenced backyard. Both floors have wrap around decks with gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico, St.Vincent Island and Indian Pass Lagoon. Four bedrooms feature full bathrooms, three bedrooms have king size beds, the other bedroom has 2 twins beds. A special feature of this beautiful home is what we call the 'Great Room'. This giant Bedroom, located on the second-floor will be entered through Custom French doors. There are 2 bunk beds and one trundle bed (where the bed pulls out from the one above and sleeps 2) It also features a large screen TV with VCR and DVD capability as well as a Stereo, cassette, CD system. Bring the whole family because this 'Great Room' will allow 14 people to sleep comfortably in 3 Palms.

3 PALMS has central air-conditioning, ceiling fans, a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, ice-maker, coffee maker, disposal, and all the necessary utensils for a fully equipped and modern kitchen. There is a second refrigerator on the Ground Floor for storage and easy access to beverages from the pool area, shuffle board court and Horseshoe Pit There is a dining room table that seats 6and 6 bar stools facing the kitchen counter. Right outside the kitchen in the screened porch there is an outdoor dining table that seats six.

The two-story wraparound decks have Gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico with screened in areas, as well as open areas to view the unforgettable sunsets, sunrises and star gazing. All 5 bedrooms have a private entrance to the decks, where there is plenty of comfortable deck furniture to enjoy the panoramic scenes of the Gulf of Mexico, St. Vincent Island and Indian Lagoon.

The house sits on pilings and at ground level there is covered parking with a protected entrance, a outdoor shower, a screened in fish cleaning room, a Huge Industrial Size barbecue grill, and a fenced in yard with pool and fully equipped pool/patio furniture. There is a protected shuffle board court under the carport, a Custom Made Horseshoe pit and assorted outdoor games, as well.

The first floor consists of a large open living room and dining room, kitchen with island, powder room, and 2 bedrooms with baths. The second floor has two bedrooms with full bathrooms and the 'Great Room' for the kids.

We provide all linens and towels. You may want to bring extra beach towels.

While 3 PALMS is classified as a first-tier gulf View home, the huge beach at Indian Pass begins 30 ft. from the driveway. Here you will find one of the largest and widest beaches anywhere in the Cape San Blas area.

Famous St. Vincent Island is in plain view from both the house and the beach.

Because of the unique topographic features of Indian Pass Beach there are many different spots to choose from. You can hang out right next to the water or you can protect yourself in the cooler months between the natural sand dunes. You literally can walk the beach for miles. Indian Pass is one of the more popular bird watching areas in the country. Not to mention the almost daily sightings of dolphins frolicking in the water.

Bring your boats, your wave runner, your kayak, a sailboat, or rent one. There is a boat launch less than 1 mile away from 3 PALMS at the Indian Pass campground.

Here you can also stock up on supplies for fishing or snacking. St. Vincent is less than a quarter of a mile away by ferry from the Indian Pass Campground. You can rent bikes here, take the ferry across the channel and explore one of the most beautiful nature preserves found anywhere . Of course you can walk all over the island and fish or swim in total seclusion. Cars are not permitted.

Speaking of FISHING, Indian Pass has some of the best fishing you'll find anywhere. Indian pass is bordered on the East by Indian Pass Lagoon, a shallow waterbed full of many varieties of fish and home to the famous Indian Pass oyster beds. The Gulf is on the west side, and I personally have caught eight different kinds of species of fish. At the tip of Indian Pass, by the campground, there is a waterway that comes from the confluence of the Apalachicola River and Bay that goes out to the Gulf. St. Vincent Island is on the other side of this passageway. This is an ideal fishing spot because of the travel patterns of the fish feeding and going out to the Gulf. This is particularly fantastic when the breezes are high out on the gulf.

So when you leave the drive way of 3 PALMS you can turn right and enter the beach to fish or you could take a left and walk 1/4 mile to the Indian Pass Lagoon and fish, or go to the campground, and fish the protected channel. Indian Pass offers an extremely unique and diversified fishing experience, well suited for the many varieties of fish, in any kind of weather condition. The screened in fish cleaning room located at ground level is perfect for preparing your freshly caught delicacy.

If and when you get tired of fishing in this wonderful little community you can always pick up a guide and go fishing in St. Joe Bay. Presnell’s Harbor is 10 minutes away and they can fix you up with a guide, the equipment, including license, and find some great action in the bay. They will clean your catch as well, 4 hours cost $100, or so. Want to go deep Sea fishing? See link for some of the greatest deep sea fishing ever. During the season (summer) grab a bucket and go pick scallops yourself. Check out Dead Lakes, check out the Apalachicola River, where 6 rivers come together and create the greatest oyster bed in the world. The Indian Pass compound is a very quiet family oriented, people friendly place. Where you can walk the tiny neighborhood and kids can even ride their bikes. It has a very special ambiance and solitude, amidst a very, very unique opportunity to be one with nature.

A must place to eat is the world famous Indian Pass Raw Oyster Bar. Located less than a mile from 3 PALMS at C-30 and Indian Pass Road. You can't miss it, is the old dilapidated rundown gas station. Don't be deceived however; they have some of the best and freshest oysters, shrimp, crap and jambalaya you'll ever taste. You can get food to go here as well. Got more friends or family coming? Have them camp at the campground or stay at the Turtle Beach Inn located on Indian Pass Road. A wonderful bed and breakfast right on the gulf.

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. is just minutes away from 3 PALMS and has wonderful opportunities for fishing, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and just plain relaxing at the #1 rated beach in the Continental U.S. for 2002 .

Awesome

  • 5 of 5

Great house, great location, best access to Beach in Cape San Blas for not being directly on beach, private beach overall, there were times we didn't see anyone in sight for as far as we could see in any direction! Loved screened in porches. Loved pool, loved it all! Best vacation in 20 years! We'll be back for sure.

Owner's Response: Derek, thanks for your time and effort in submitting a review. We are so happy ya’ll had such a nice time and appreciated all the benefits Three Palms Compound has to offer. We try to share with people how the home is a cross between a Gulf Front Home and Gulf View but with a pool. It is a more reasonably priced Vacation Home than you will find with a Gulf Front and Pool Home. Plus it has so many extras to enhance your vacation experience. You got to experience the full pleasure of having a palace that sleeps 14, for just your wife and your dog. Some folks think that The Compound is too big for 2-4 people, but is a real treat to have so much space and room to relax in and to have your private Concierge to assist with all your vacation needs. Why not live like Royalty for a week? It is all about the Beach down here and we are right on the beach! The Beach Path is just a few steps away from the driveway. Check out our website for photos and videos of the Beach Path and the Beach. And the Beach is HUGE and even in the high season you will find that it is nearly empty. Old Florida at its Best! After the Beach it is so great to hang by the pool and enjoy all the seating areas and activities with the cool breezes blowing in. Three Palms Compound has the best of both worlds, the Gulf of Mexico and your very own private poo. It is the perfect venue for small or large families to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Wonderful cozy house

  • 4 of 5

Nice and cozy house. Pool was a bit small but perfect for the kids. Short walk to a very beautiful and secluded beach. Closest people to us on the beach where at least 100 yds away. Under 30 seconds away with golf cart.

Top notch!

  • 5 of 5

I have never written a review for vacation rental before, ever.

Other than check in, we didn't call the manager or owner because there weren't any problems. Midway through the week the owner (Pete) called to make sure that everything was going ok and to make sure we weren't having any problems. In more than 10 years of beach house rentals, that was a first.

After the vacation, he called again to see if there was anything we could suggest to improve the experience, also a first.

If anything the house is better than the pictures, the rooms are larger than the pictures convey. It was clean, bright and well laid out. Everything that was promised was there.

I can unqualifiedly say that I recommend this rental and that I would rent there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. It is quite flattering to have your 1st Review Ever, in 10 years! We appreciate how clean you left Three Palms Compound, especially with a full house of 14 folks. We strive to add value to our guest’s vacation experience and it is very important for us to constantly work to improve and update the Compound. Thank you for your comments about how to upgrade the house. We did get another 4- piece toaster and am researching the idea of screening in the ground floor sitting area next to the pool, to help with bugs. You folks were a pleasure to have and we look forward to ya’ll coming back! Peter B.

Excellent Service and Ideal Location

  • 5 of 5

I cannot thank my lucky stars enough for this vacation at Three Palms on the forgotten coast. This vacation was the best one of our lives, bar none. The beach was the highlight, of course. We were sitting on the beach and swimming in the ocean for at least 5 hours a day. We all got a few painful burns on the first day, having underestimated the strength of the sun.

Peter, thank you for the excellent service - the best we've ever had when renting a home in Florida. You and Donna were both on the water pressure case as soon as I called, so, thank you! The house was spacious and cozy; the decks were a dream for our morning coffees and afternoon reading times. Everything in the house was more than satisfactory. The kids immensely enjoyed the outdoor games. I do think that the mattresses in the two upstairs master bedrooms can use an upgrade, as well as some other minor stuff (like the cleaning prior to our arrival). Overall though, the environment, beach, PEACEFULNESS, etc. compensated for anything that might have bothered us otherwise.

It was really a dreamy vacation, and I thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind remarks! We are delighted that you enjoyed Three Palms Compound and the beautiful surrounding area. I was a bit concerned that the area might be too remote for you folks especially being from New York state. But obviously it was perfect for ya’ll. The beach is so close and almost private that you feel like it is yours. We really try to add value to our guests experience and our Four Seasons service is one of the best you will find anywhere in the the Cape San Blas/Indian Pass area. We really appreciate your review and have put new posterpedic mattresses on the two master bedroom’s on the top floor. The one dirty cabinet was just an oversight by us and we have tightened our cleaning inspection process. We always encourage our guests to call us immediately upon arrival if there is anything remotely unacceptable with house, and will come over and correct the oversight promptly. We look forward to your return to Three Palms Compound!-Peter B.

We love Three Palms

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Three Palms recently with our two dogs and we had a wonderful vacation. We loved everything about this beautiful, extra clean, well maintained home with a nicely landscaped backyard and wonderful pool. We also loved the wrap around decks with great ocean breezes. They have shuffleboard and horseshoes as well, and very close proximity to the ocean with gorgeous beaches to walk for miles. This was truly a wonderful place and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation. Peter the owner was great to work with, he was so nice and even showed us Two Palms which is their other gorgeous rental home right on the ocean. Donna the concierge was also very helpful. I cant say enough good things and we are looking forward to next year and hope to stay even longer!

Three Palms is located in the 'Forgotten Coast' area of the Florida Panhandle, between Panama City and Apalachicola / Tallahassee. It is in Gulf County, and unlike Destin, Pensacola and Panama City there are no huge condo's on the beach. In fact building regulations, both commercial and residential, prohibit any kind of buildings taller than 3 stories. This area is a truly pristine, remote and unspoiled paradise. The beach at the Cape San Blas State Park was rated the #1 Beach (Dr. Beach) in all of the USA in 2004.

The St. Joe Bay lays on the East side of Cape San Blas Peninsula and provides for fantastic fishing, snorkeling and Scallop picking.

There is a bike path from the State Park to County Highway C-30-A . You can rent bikes and kayaks to enjoy these activities. Ride horses on the beach. Hire a fishing charter. Play golf. Catch blue crabs. Collect shells. Enjoy the tremendous wildlife species. Dolphins, Sea Turtles, Eagles and may other species.

Fresh Shrimp, Oysters, Crab, Grouper are abundant. Take an Eco-Tour of St. Joe Bay or the Apalachicola River Estuary.

Visit St. Vincent Wildlife Refuge and rent a bike or go fish the many lakes and beach fishing available. Have a bonfire on the beach. Get a permit to ride on the beach.

Enjoy the pool at Three Palms, the quiet neighborhood, the huge amount of living space in the compound and the Indian Pass Boat Ramp less than 1 mile away.

Or.....just lay by the pool,on the beach or deck furniture, and relax!!!!!

This OLD FLORIDA at its Best!
