Originally built over 300 years ago, this villa in the Pyrenees was once a government building, a local council house, a school, and is now a private residence. The villa is situated in the middle of a fenced garden with many large trees and green landscaping. There is a terrace furnished with a table, chairs, and a barbecue, and a private swimming pool (10m x 5m), which has an alarm. Access to the property is via a paved road and parking is available within the grounds.
Ground Floor: There is a large and formal salon with couches, chairs, a fireplace, and access to the terrace, which overlooks the Pyrenees. There is a dining room with a long table and 10 chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher.
First Floor: A comfortable living room is located on this floor where there are two couches, a TV with cable, a DVD player with a large movie selection, and a VCR. The master bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
Second Floor: There are three bedrooms on this floor. The first and second bedrooms each have a standard double bed (140 cm), a single bed (90 cm), and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The third bedroom has two single beds (90 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

Although common in France, a 140 cm double bed may be considered small for two people by American standards.

The villa is located five kilometers from the town of Argeles-Gazost. Argeles-Gazost has a good selection of restaurants, pizzerias, creperies, cafes, and brasseries. While there are many leisure activities such as spas, horseback riding, tennis, biking, golf, swimming, and fishing, skiing is the main attraction during the winter. The Pyrenees are known for the great skiing hills and Argeles-Gazost has its own ski resort with many opportunities for both the experienced and the beginner. The town also has a cinema, theater, and animal park (Parc Animalier des Pyrenees). The town of Lourdes is only 13 kilometers away and is an famous historical site. Dating back to the 8th century, Lourdes is now the center of thousands of yearly pilgrimages of people who visit the Sanctuary of Lourdes, or the Domain as it is more commonly known, after a 14-year-old girl claimed to see a beautiful lady in the Grotto in the 1800's, who is believed to be the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many believe the spring waters possess healing powers, which is now a reason for their visits.
