We love to 'explore' and have traveled to many corners of the world. But we also feel very blessed to live so close to the Canadian Rockies and enjoy everything they have to offer.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2008
We love Kimberley for the quiet, small town feel, and for its abundance of outdoor activities. We are golfers, skiers and hikers so this location provides year-round possibilities.
The condo is in a quiet, serene setting, backing onto a natural pond and greenspace. The unit provides all the amenities of home in a relaxing setting.
Just had a fantastic stay at this luxurious condo. The Condo was exceptional. Extremely clean, extremely well appointed, and extremely comfortable. Right from the first contact with the owners to the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. As this is not the first condo we have stayed in at this location, it will definetly be our first choice in the future.
The one and only down side is no central air, but the owners leave great quality fans and it is easy to get a fresh mountain breeze flowing through the property
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo. We loved the back deck overlooking the trees - so calming. The BBQ and hot tub made it even better. The condo was so nicely decorated, well stocked with everything you could require in the kitchen and, most importantly, so clean! We have stayed at other condos at the ski hill and this was, by far, the cleanest and most welcoming. We would definitely stay again!
Our family of four stayed here for 5 nights. It was the first mountain ski trip experience for our kids (5 & 6 years old) and this property was perfect for us.
The condo was well appointed, comfortable and clean. We had cooked our own meals just about every night, and the kitchen and BBQ area had everything we needed. (The last night we ordered pizza from Grubstake - very tasty too!) We brought some movies for the evening, and the TV and DVD player did the trick. All of us really enjoyed the hot tub, using it twice per day. It was a great way to wake up in the morning and we could usually watch the groomers doing up the front side runs before the hill opened for the day. In the evening it was nice and relaxing to soak after a full day of skiing. You could get to the hill by walking, however we found it easier to just drive the two minutes to the big parking lot at the foot of the mountain.
The owner was very prompt, the instructions clear, and everything was easy to deal with in this VRBO experience. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Kimberley is a great place, this is a great condo, and we are already talking about making a booking for next season!
We have an annual boys' golf trip to Kimberley in June and this is our third year staying at this condo. It is located in a quiet complex and located in relatively close proximity to all the golf courses we played. The condo is modern, well furnished, and well equipped with all the basic necessities - linens, kitchen items, natural gas BBQ, etc.
One of the main attractions of the condo is the private hot tub on the balcony - especially after a long day at the golf course. Unfortunately for the past two years the hot tub has been literally unusable. The level of chemicals/chlorine is so high that within a few minutes of sitting in the tub we were coughing from the fumes. This issue existed last year as well and was brought to the owner's attention at that time. Unfortunately the same issue existed this year also. I am hoping that the owner takes notice of this problem and resolves it so that guest can enjoy all the amenities that the condo has to offer.
Apart from the hot tub the unit is exactly what we needed for the four of us. There was plenty of room (1 master bedroom w/ king-sized bed and ensuite, 1 bedroom with two twin beds, and one queen-sized sofa bed in the living room) for all of us to stay comfortably.
We will definitely stay there again next year but the hot tub chemical issue would need to be fixed.
It's just what it says it is, and looks like the photos. Looks and smells pretty much brand new. All the necessary supplies are there. Not a big mountain view, but peacefully treed. If the place is busy, it could be a bit noisy at night, what with the hot tubs, and people going up and down the outside stairs. The hot tub cleaning lady ought to wait another 30 seconds after knocking, before entering the unit (she has the code), just to make sure people are decent (fortunately, I was). I'd stay there again.
I personally was not able to go on this trip because of injuries I had before my "booked" time. The comments I am making are ones of my cousin who went on this trip.(To sum things up, he and his friends had a great time.)
