Overview

About the property

3 large bedrooms 2 bathrooms in historic center sleeps up to 9 full Air Condit

This important brand new 3 bedroom apartment is Located in the 'piano nobile' of count Franchini Stappo's Palace. Built in the 'Firenze capitale' architectural style (neo rinascimento fiorentino), this property is very sunny bright and spacious, and, quite an unique feature for an historic building, it has a modern and functional elevator. The apartment (153 yards,140 square meters with 14,7 feet high ceilings) is fully air conditioned and high speed WIFI covered (Telecom Fibra, the fastest connection available in Italy) and located in the center of Florence a short walk from the Duomo at the noble floor of a 1850 aristocratic building. A crystal Elevator has just been installed and it is ready to use. It is very rare to find an historic building in the center of Florence which has an elevator. This apartment has very luxury features such as top end bathrooms (Devon & Devon equipment), top quality beds and mattresses, quarter-sawn white oak floors in a herringbone pattern throughout, high end kitchen with marble top, very high ceilings (14,7 feet! 4,50 metres!), Washing machine and a new DRYER, beautiful rich stuccos and many antique paintings and furnitures ect. NO cheap quality furnitures. As a matter of fact, this apartment was until very recently the private home of a count of local aristocracy and has now been completely renovated to add a touch of freshness to the classic style. The very large windows of the big drawing room and of 2 of the bedrooms look into a nice large historic street with some trees and classic buildings. This very bright sunny and spacious three large bedrooms property is articulated on one level only which is suitable for people with reduced mobility, it is fully air conditioned (every room can choose its temperature) and has a top speed WIFI. The third bedroom is separate by a corridor which grants a quiet sleep even amongst a group of friends or a large family with children. The house is in the most beautiful safe and sought after residential area in the historical centre of Florence. It is very close to Four Seasons hotel, next to the beautiful Piazza d'Azeglio (one of the very few playgrounds for children in the green), and a short walk from the Duomo, Santa Croce, the Synagogue and the main museums and popular shopping and restaurant areas of Sant'Ambrogio. One of the best ice cream maker is just on block away and the wonderful freshfood farmer market of Sant'Ambrogio just 2 bloks away. There is also an organic food shop and restaurant 50 metres away. It is a very Florentine part of the town, where real Florentines still live. It is possible to rent a private parking for 25€/day in the historic garden downstairs.

An important factor to consider in order to chose this property is that this property is always maintained up to a 'as new' conditions. As a matter of fact, the owner is very attentive to all details; regular in depth professional cleaning, frequent periodical renovations and interventions make this property always IDENTICAL to the photos you see on this site and appliances and fornitures are in excellent status

Return Visit

  • 5 of 5

I returned to this apartment to reunite with six former college friends. We had such a pleasant experience when we all stayed here 5 years we didn't even consider staying elsewhere. The apartment has everything our group needed; large bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful living room, as well as a kitchen with modern appliances and separate dining area. The location could not be more perfect! An elegant, quiet retreat in the city we all love as much today as we did when we were students here so many years ago.Thank you Guido for once again making our stay in Florence so very special. Florence will always be a magical place for all of us; being all together in the apartment allowed us to reminisce about our past experiences and create new memories. Grazie Mille!

My favorite place we stayed!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in four different apartments in Europe and this one was by far my favorite! It's a very large apartment for Italy. All of the rooms are very spacious, and the linens were very nice . Both of the bathrooms were nice and my kids enjoyed a bubble bath in the large bathtub. The owner was very easy to work with upon checking/out. Very good security as well . There's a restaurant when you walk out of the front door to the right about a block down that we ate at twice they were really nice and having the kids there was no problem. it was nice to be greeted with a glass of Prosecco . They always ask if you have a reservation but don't worry they seat you anyways. Try the panacoda, it's amazing! We also enjoyed the muscles . The apartment location is very nice as well. It's very easy to use the bus and get to the train station etc. I would recommend getting a taxi to the apartment upon arrival but then using the bus there after. Have fun!

Owner's Response: dear Clin, many sincere thanks for this nice review. Let me just specify for future guests that there is not hot tub. just a normal tub. Also i would like to add that walking to the major tourist site is 1 kilometer (15minutes) and the bus is not really necessary. thanks again and best regards.

Spacious Quiet Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to major attractions. The entrance is very secure. Our party of 7 adults had plenty of room to move around. We cooked several nights, and found the kitchen well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. All amenities worked well (washing machine, AC, stove, bathrooms.) We highly recommend this apartment.

Fall in Love with Florence in a Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 (including 1 teenager and 2 Tweens) and just spent the last 6 days in Florence staying here. It is in a great location to see so many wonderful things and places - you can walk to so much and it's easier than cabbing it anyway. The apartment was beautifully appointed. So luxurious. So beautiful. The kids loved their rooms and the "family room" became their hangout. The beds and pillows are fantastic and we had this notion we would cook in the gorgeous kitchen (ha!). We ate out all the time. We used the kitchen more like a bar to be honest and sampled a lot of local wine! There is a small store not far away - close to the National Synagogue (which we passed for days until we figured it out! - you see it from the side behind another building). There is a cute cafe right around the corner and we had chocolate croissants and americanos every morning. They are very generous with the chocolate! The trattoria just below (and just around the corner) was amazing. We had a great dinner there and the guys who work there shouted Caio to us every day! We took 2 day trips (Rome and Venice) on the high speed Italo train out of Santa Maria Novella Station and walked there easily. They were great cities but honestly we could not wait to get "home" to our wonderful apartment in Florence. You will not be disappointed and through Guido amd Ruth's instructions - we learned how to call for a cab, find groceries, use the washing machine, and roam around the town. The elevator is a great feature especially when you have tired kids and one twisted ankle when you arrive home! I know that everyone runs to and lines up at the Duomo which is amazing and beautiful. However Santa Croce Basilica was our true cultural highlight - we saved it until our last full day not realizing that we would stand there in awe and realize that Florence and its remarkable inhabitants - Michaelanglo etc from long ago - changed our world. The story of Santa Croce and the 1966 flood which destroyed so many artworks only to be saved by people who came from all over the world to help - epitomizes Florence and how it will change you. We went back and bought 2 guide books the next day to learn more. We love the apartment and we love how it allowed us to feel so at home so we had the freedom to explore, experience and learn. We will be back!!!
