About Laurel Moorhead
We bought this house in 2002 after searching for two years for a house that felt like it was made for Hawaii. We finally found this house and have been very happy with it. We improve it in some way each time we come, for example during the last trip we rebuilt the wheelchair ramp to the front deck, reupholstered the dining chairs and, replaced the screening on the outdoor shower. The house is a work in progress, it just keeps getting better. We are a family of four, with two daughters, including our older daughter who has a spinal cord injury. It was for her that we added the wheelchair ramp to the front porch, insisted on a single level floor plan and have a shower bench that can be installed when needed.

Why Laurel Moorhead chose Princeville
We love Kaua'i. We have been coming regularly since 1994 and began looking for a house in 2000. We chose the North Shore because of the beauty of the area, the limited development, the easy access to beautiful beaches and hiking. We chose Princeville because of the accessibility to shopping, beaches and hikes. Grant loves to golf, Laurie walks for hours each day, Marissa loves to jump off the pier in Hanalei Bay and Sara likes to walk to the library and shoot hoops at the neighborhood basketball court.

Our stay in Yoga House everything we could have hoped for. We were a group of six adults; an older married couple, a younger married couple, and two ladies separated in age by about forty years, and all with correspondingly varied interests. Yoga House afforded us all freedom for activity or for contemplation as we wished. The facilities were clean and comfortable, the surroundings were peaceful, and the amenities were more abundant then we needed.
Communications from beginning reservation to final checkout indicated just how much care has been put into Yoga House, and how concerned the owners are about their guests' experiences.
There were two things we did not anticipate. We should have realized that the loft would be warmer and have less ventilation than the rest of the house. It took a little getting used to. And the area is so peaceful that early morning kitchen sounds can transit to the master bedroom. We learned to be very quiet with utensils and cabinet drawers.
We will be delighted to revisit Yoga House on our next vsit to Princeville. Thank you very much. It was a great pleasure.
Family of Six adults
The Yoga House was perfect for our family of 6. Three kids in their early 20's and grandma. Everything we needed for the beach was there, the house was quiet in a safe neighborhood. The best part was the clothes line on the front porch, perfect for all the wet swim suits and towels and just enough hidden that it was always full. We left all our clothes and shoes on the front and was never concerned about them disappearing. The lanai was beautiful and a perfect spot for morning coffee. I hope we will be back soon. Our entire vacation was perfect and the Yoga House was certainly a huge part of that! The house is exactly as presented..... We thought it might be a too good to be true house, but it was exactly as presented. No a/c but it was very pleasant at night and comfortable. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
Great house for a larger group
We had 7 family members staying in the Yoga House, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the tropical feel and openness of the house. Many amenities were provided including cooking essentials, toys and games, and beach gear. The kids loved the large open area behind the house to run around in. The only downside was the washing of towels and stripping of beds required before check out, as mentioned by previous guests. This would have been an issue for us had we been booked on an early flight. Otherwise we loved the house and would stay again.
WOW this place is wonderfull
We had the best tine at the yoga house. The pictures don’t even show a quarter or how beautifull the house and its settings are. It was so much fun to stay on the lanai every morning staring at the great view. Boogies boards, chairs, umbrellas! House is huge! The view is amazing! We will go back for sure!
Perfect Place To Stay In Kauai
Our family of 4 (two boys ages 16 and 21) and my wife and I spent about 10 days enjoying Kauai while staying at the Yoga House. The house was perfect! We easily could have fit a couple more people in the house if we needed to (never used the upstairs bedroom). Loved the lanai overlooking a large greenbelt area where you could watch the sunset every evening. The house came stocked with plenty of games for those nights we wanted to just relax and have fun. The kitchen had everything necessary for easy, quick breakfasts in the mornings before we started our adventures for the day. We cooked a couple of dinners in the kitchen and on the huge BBQ and ate out on the lanai whenever we could. The outside shower was such a blessing for cleanup before going inside. Coolers, towels, and snorkel gear made beach adventures easy. The location was serene, quiet and yet close to the Princeville and Hanalei areas. Everything was thought of for our stay. Communication with Laurel was easy with fast responses and easy to follow directions. I would highly recommend the Yoga House for anyone looking for the perfect setting for a family vacation in Kauai.
