This charming light-filled Hyde Park bungalow was built in 1915 and is rich in history. Remodeled in 2013 to maintain historic characteristics, it’s comprised of a large living room, full kitchen, a second bedroom with office space, and full bathroom with original antique claw foot tub/shower. Since the 1930's this house has been split into different residences. Enjoy this 780 square foot home that sleeps 3 adults. Other features include beautiful floors, 10-foot ceilings, a large fully fenced back yard, and fun vintage fixtures. It's within easy walking distance of multiple city and UT bus stops, Hyde Park restaurants, a bakery/coffee shop, Fresh Plus neighborhood grocery store, tennis courts, a park, and many other local Austin businesses. It's a great place to walk, ride bikes, or simply enjoy the quiet and relaxing atmosphere while being close to downtown.

We are family friendly and can accommodate children 5 years old or older. Total of 3 people includes any children. The layout is a shotgun layout. The living room leads into the main bedroom, then into the kitchen, then into the back room/office that has the bathroom attached to it.

Spacious and quiet Austin bungalow in perfect location!

My husband and I came to Austin for the first time recently for a wedding. Knowing nothing about the city, we chose Hyde Park because we wanted something that was central to where the various wedding venues were and wanted something away from the noise of downtown. This bungalow was perfect! It's clean and uncluttered, which gives it a very spacious feel, but is also a welcoming and quiet place to relax after a long day of running around. There are also lots of parks and playgrounds within walking distance, making it very family-friendly. Easy walk to a few good cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores too. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown, East Austin, or wherever else we needed to go. The property manager (Pete) could not have been more responsive or accommodating through the whole process. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect location. Darling neighborhood

We had an outstanding 4 night stay. The property is on a wonderful, tree-lined street with great surroundings. The unit is spacious, historical and comfortable. We walked to the University of Texas for the football game and enjoyed seeing the houses along the way. Uber rides to downtown were quick and affordable, so I would highly recommend this location and this unit. Nothing but great things to say. Thank you Pete, you're a great host!

Beautiful property, comfortable stay, very helpful host

My daughter and I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at this beautiful home. Pete is a super host, very helpful and very responsive. The house is located in a beautiful part of Hyde Park and is easy walking distance from many eateries as well as from the bus route. I ended up having to work for part of our stay and was able to use the wifi to connect to work and use the desk and chair in the office area. The amenities in the house were thoughtfully selected and we found everything we needed. We will definitely consider this property again if we are in Austin in the future.

Excellent location for exploring Hyde Park! We walked to eateries & Ney museum.

House is very clean and quiet. Cute IKEA furnishings. We enjoyed it immensely. Only slight problem was getting kicked off Internet and having to go back and forth between servers frequently.
