Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Haleiwa - Aloha Casa

Luxury Custom Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Vaulted Ceilings (Sleeps 4)

The upstairs unit in this newly built custom designed home is located in front of the famous conservation diving area known as Shark's Cove on Oahu's famed North Shore. The location is one house from the beach with access to both Shark's cove and the incredible white sand beach known as Ke Iki Beach (many movies filmed at this secluded beach). After a long day at the beach relax in brand new furnishings that include a HD flat screen (free access to streaming Netflix movies), large sectional sofa, granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, fully stocked kitchen, Nova foam or Plush top mattress, and gas grill. We also supply everything you need except your food and sunscreen - so pack light!!

Doorsteps to world class surfing, diving, snorkeling and swimming. Gaze at whales, dolphins, and amazing sunsets, and swim with turtles and tropical fish just steps away. Enjoy a walk, jog, bike ride (4 cruisers plus toddler tag-a-long bike) from out your gate onto the beautiful tropical bike path (3 miles one way). Additional activities close by include hiking, tennis, basketball, and skateboard park. Other conveniences just down the street include paddle board, surf board, and water toy rentals, and the local grocery store (complete with The Coffee Bean).

Fabulous eating options abound on the North Shore: A scenic 15 minute drive in either direction offers a sumptuous variety of local, international or resort cuisine. Locally grown fruit and vegetable stands are just down the road. Ted's Bakery is just around the corner (Chocolate Haupia Pies!).

Just a short drive along the North Shore coast will bring you to Turtle Bay Resort and Spa. Play a round of golf on one of two professional grade golf courses, one of which was designed by Arnold Palmer and home of the PGA Champions Tour, or spend a soothing afternoon at the Turtle Bay Resort's Spa. Just a little further down the road, enjoy a visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for displays of Hawaiian culture and a Luau.

Lower unit studio may also be available (sleeps 2) when not occupied by owners.

Carina's property is in a fantastic location on the north shore and the facilities are great - everything you could possibly need! Great advice also given on local attractions and how to get about. We would definitely recommend... it is a real hidden gem!

The property is clean, private, and modern. Beautiful place to rest and enjoy the North Shore!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I (Arizona) met our adult daughter (L. A., CA) on Oahu. After 3 days in the bustle of Waikiki, we settled into this beautiful home on the North Shore. Not wanting to cook, we tried the fabulous food trucks: Pizza, Thai, and Brisket. Right on the bike path, we rode and walked to a variety of beach locations, even finding turtles with the owners help! This is the perfect place to rest and relax. We will be back!!

Ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Ideal location! Right on the bike path, just a few moments away from Ke Iki Beach. And a very short stroll to Shark's Cove, the food trucks and Foodland. If you do not want to get in a car the entire time you are there, there is no need. Bikes are provided and you are super close to beaches, hiking, snorkeling.... There is so much to do on the North Shore, a week is not long enough! Carina was amazingly helpful. Ask her for anything that you may need and she will either hand it to you (from a stash of Bikes, snorkeling equipment , and yoga mats) or, tell you where to find it! The house was great! Comfortable, quiet, everything we needed for our stay on Oahu! Mahalo!!!

Fantastic Decision to Stay Here! A++++++++

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this property was outstanding. I can not say enough good things about it. I have only used VBRO one before, so I am always somewhat of a novice. However, this property ins't to be doubted. The owners are excellent (very available and they will keep in touch with you) and they truly provide everything that you need. If I was to go back to Oahu, it would be the only place that I would stay.

Rather than write a lengthy narrative, I will provide several bullets below to tell you a few things about our experience:

*Easy access and just across the street from a grocery store. You can grill out, have a few snacks or just have water/drinks available.

*5-minute walk to approximately 10 food stands/little eating places. You won't be disappointed...from tacos to fish to snow cones. We ate here about five times. Yummy!

*5 minute walk to Shark's Cove. Tends to get very crowded but a must-see for the North shore.

*There are two bedrooms in the home and they are nice full-size/queen beds. No problems. Ample storage.

*Excellent bathroom with all of the amenities (soap, conditioner, sunscreen, etc...)

*Went to the grocery store and rented a movie...the home comes with a DVD player for a late night movie!

*The kitchen is fully-equipped. Everything you need to cook and enjoy.

*We came to Oahu after a 5-day stay in Maui so the washer and dryer proved to be very valuable. Detergent was there as well.

Again, you will enjoy this property. For the price, location, amenities, clean up-to-date home...you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Amazing House And Location

  • 5 of 5

We arrived quite late due to out flights but Corina had given us very good instructions on how to find the house. The house was amazing, clean tidy, modern and had everything you could need. From little things like tubs for pack lunch to dish washer soap, shampoo , beach chairs and brolly. I have stayed in many vacation homes and this house did not miss a thing.

The location is brilliant. You can walk to the food trucks for take out or pop over to foodland for milk. Makes a huge difference not having to use the car all the time. You can walk to Sharks Cove in your sleep it's so close. We really enjoyed the free use of the bikes. The bike path is so nice. We would do the 15 minute bike ride up to Sunset beach in the mornings or after a big dinner.

Corina and Chuck are really great hosts. Corina gave us some advice on local beaches which was brilliant, we saw the turtles she said we would see without having to fight the tourists to see them where they usually are near Haleiwa.

This is our 4th time staying on the Northshore and our first time in Aloha Casa. The next time we will definitely book to stay at Aloha Casa again. Our kids loved it and having the Internet included was very handy to send all our pictures home to friends.

We had an amazing time and really enjoyed meeting Corina, Chuck and kids.

Hope to see you all again soon

Lovely home – Just pack your bags!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 1 week in early August. This was our first trip to Oahu (2 adults and 2 teenagers, ages 16 and 15). We chose the Aloha Casa for our stay and couldn’t be more pleased. This home was extremely clean and comfortable (where can we buy that awesome couch?  ). You really only need to pack your clothes, this home really does have all the extras you would need so pack lightly! We used the snorkeling gear and water shoes quite often to explore Sharks Cove and other areas. Everything was in good condition, sadly we never got to take the bikes out on the bike path but we did enjoy many walks to Sharks Cove and Sunset Beach, and to the food trucks a short distance away. We enjoyed the local laid back area and would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend this home. Carina was especially helpful in recommending places to see and things to do during our visit. The Pali lookout is still one of my personal favorites. Our kid’s favorite activity was surfing the North Shore with personal surfing lessons from Sergio (another Carina recommendation) he was great, and we definitely recommend him too. We did meet Ginger the house cat, she greeted us a couple mornings. Thank you Carina for sharing your wonderful home with us….Mahalo!!
