Description

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Haleiwa - Aloha Casa

Luxury Custom Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Vaulted Ceilings (Sleeps 4)

The upstairs unit in this newly built custom designed home is located in front of the famous conservation diving area known as Shark's Cove on Oahu's famed North Shore. The location is one house from the beach with access to both Shark's cove and the incredible white sand beach known as Ke Iki Beach (many movies filmed at this secluded beach). After a long day at the beach relax in brand new furnishings that include a HD flat screen (free access to streaming Netflix movies), large sectional sofa, granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, fully stocked kitchen, Nova foam or Plush top mattress, and gas grill. We also supply everything you need except your food and sunscreen - so pack light!!

Doorsteps to world class surfing, diving, snorkeling and swimming. Gaze at whales, dolphins, and amazing sunsets, and swim with turtles and tropical fish just steps away. Enjoy a walk, jog, bike ride (4 cruisers plus toddler tag-a-long bike) from out your gate onto the beautiful tropical bike path (3 miles one way). Additional activities close by include hiking, tennis, basketball, and skateboard park. Other conveniences just down the street include paddle board, surf board, and water toy rentals, and the local grocery store (complete with The Coffee Bean).

Fabulous eating options abound on the North Shore: A scenic 15 minute drive in either direction offers a sumptuous variety of local, international or resort cuisine. Locally grown fruit and vegetable stands are just down the road. Ted's Bakery is just around the corner (Chocolate Haupia Pies!).

Just a short drive along the North Shore coast will bring you to Turtle Bay Resort and Spa. Play a round of golf on one of two professional grade golf courses, one of which was designed by Arnold Palmer and home of the PGA Champions Tour, or spend a soothing afternoon at the Turtle Bay Resort's Spa. Just a little further down the road, enjoy a visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for displays of Hawaiian culture and a Luau.

Lower unit studio may also be available (sleeps 2) when not occupied by owners.

Perfect home away!

  • 5 of 5

Aloha Casa was everything it was advertised and more. The owners have really thought to provide everything that makes a vacation memorable. They were also very helpful in suggesting sights n activities when our original plans didn't work. The weather wasn't great but they always had ideas for us to try instead. Their local knowledge was key to our successful vacation. The property was immaculate as well as comfortable and all the extras helped us to explore to our hearts content! This will be our #1 choice whenever we are back on Oahu.

Aloha Casa = Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Aloha Casa in October 2016 and we highly recommend this place. If you want to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of the North Shore, this is the place to be! So close and convenient to everything, walk to beaches, food trucks, Foodland, hikes. It's all right outside the door! Carina is a friendly, gracious host who has stocked the house with everything you need for the perfect beach vacation. Go and enjoy it! We hope to get back there again someday!

Wonderful home and location

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to the North Shore and we were so lucky to find Aloha Casa.

Carina's directions were very helpful.

The property is stunning and has a wonderful ambiance, you can tell a lot of love and thought has gone into furnishing and setting up the home.

The bed and sofa were so comfortable. The kitchen was so well stocked, and I really appreciated having a kettle.

The location is fantastic. A short walk to the food trucks where we ate at least once a day. It's also a short walk to the Ke Iki beach and Shark Cove.

If I were to return to the North Shore I'd love to stay at Aloha Casa again.

Wonderful spot

  • 5 of 5

All you need for home away from home. Carina was helpful on tips and best beach spots. Very cozy house with comfy bed. (Important) Walking distant from food trucks, market, beach and beautiful sunsets. We heard no road noise, very peaceful. Loved that we had our car in a gated and private driveway.

Unforgettable vacation

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home on the North Shore!! Can walk right to Shark's Cove and the beach. Carina was very helpful. We enjoyed the boogie boards which she had 4 of them saving us a lot of money. Loved that they have a cooler, beach mats, beach towels, beach umbrella, snorkel gear and water shoes. I was unsure of booking a condo in Honolulu or North Shore and totally recommend the North Shore for that Hawaii experience out of the busy city. We would definitely stay here again!

Sweet Host; great area!

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed this house, with it's 2 hiccups being no central air conditioning, and no blind to keep out the street light in the top window.

The house was very clean, and Carina was very attentive! The house is well stocked, even with beach gear (anything you may need for the beach, even towels, as well as a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and snorkeling items), and they also have bikes for you to use!

The bike path and frontal streets are right there, so you can walk or bike most anywhere. The house is very close to the many beaches, food trucks, and store. It is only about a 45 minute walk to Ted's Bakery, or a 5 to 10 minute walk (depending on your walking ability) to the food trucks and store with Shark's Cove being across the street from the food trucks and store. Shark's Cove was perfect if you have young children, plus there is a bathroom and showers, even some grassy area. Parking is nuts, so go early or walk.

Our only challenges were the street light that shines into your face at night, and the fact that it does not have central air conditioning. The window air conditioner is in the kitchen/living room, so closing the bedroom doors to avoid the street light in your face was a problem, given that there is little air flow/relief in the bedrooms (even with the windows open). They did supply electric fans, but they did not help that much. A fix for the bedrooms might be a plug in ceiling fan (attach the cord to a corner) and allow it to be plugged in or putting in central air some day.

We would use this house again, if the 2 hiccups were addressed.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words in your review! We have placed a blind in the upper vaulted ceiling window to keep out the street light. In regard to the air conditioning, this is the first concern about air flow we have had since we began renting in 2010. Nevertheless, we will look into a central system to address your concern. Aloha! Carina
