About Robert Koch
My family has lived in Coronado since 1957 and at 729 A Avenue since 1967. We love this house and its history and plan to retire here someday.
Robert Koch purchased this House in 1967
What makes this House unique
One of the many wonderful things about this home is that it is within short walking distance of all that Coronado has to offer and within minutes by car or water taxi from all that San Diego has to offer. The home is quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Known as the Ben and Camille Wyatt house, this home has a strong and direct connection to the history of Coronado and to the history of the U.S. Navy and naval aviation. Just 5 blocks away is Coronado's nationally reknown Central Beach, and the city's climate is temperate year round.

Coronado is a wonderful place and this property is perfect for enjoying all of the wonders of the island. Short walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The owner is a super guy and very accomodating.
You will be blown away by how orderly and comfortable the owner has made this home. Your inner Martha Stewart will nod approvingly. Great location, walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. Can't say enough good about our stay.
My kids and I stayed for the month of July, and had a wonderful time. The house is in the perfect location, we walked everywhere! The house is lovely, very clean and comfortable beds. Working with the owner, was very easy. He's very responsive to any needs that may come up. Would recommend this home!
We stayed here the month of June and loved it! Perfect accommodation for our family, great central location close to Orange Ave shopping, Spreckels Park, and the beach. Quiet and beautiful street. Bob was easy to work with from start to finish, and always happy to answer questions. Everything we needed was at the house, just brought bikes, toys, and groceries. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks!
Would stay again!
Stayed in this home for a month with my husband, daughter, and Samoyed dog. Loved the home and the backyard..we spent many days hanging out back there and relaxing. Yard is fully fenced so that was nice for our dog. (I’ll especially miss the lemon tree!) We cooked a lot in the kitchen and it was sufficient for our needs. King size bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. Walking distance to Orange Ave with all the shops, restaurants, grocery and convenient stores. There are a couple of beach chairs and an umbrella on the side of the house that you can bring with you to the beach. Bob was a great host, flexible, and was quick to respond to any questions I had. We will be staying in San Diego for a couple of months each year and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
Beautiful home and backyard garden, wonderful landlord and a perfect location. Easily walk to restaurants, shops, everything in town, walk along the bay, walk to the ocean and beach. However once home and back in the house a very quiet safe neighborhood.
Coronado Beach Makes Top Five All-Star List
by Greer Goebels
San Diego’s Coronado Beach: This broad, family-friendly beach ranks No. 1, best beach in the nation, on the lists of both National Geographic and Forbes. Both lists are Hawaii-heavy, so it says a lot that they’re topped by Coronado, where the sand sparkles with mica and surfers and families mingle seamlessly. Coronado is also No. 6 on the Travel Channel’s Best U.S. Beaches list (topped by Hawaii) and No. 9 of Most Popular U.S. Beaches.
