A quick walk to Taos Plaza and with outdoor vendors, live music, great restaurants and cultural events. My personal favorite is a very easy stroll to the Bent Street historical shops (home of Govenor's Bents residence). Enjoy your morning coffee by a fountain, hearing the music of buskers and watching an artist or two with their pleine aire painting. Only a 5 minute walk to Kit Carson park with soccer, a playground, baseball, volleyball, basketball and picnic tables with grills. An easy stroll to the historic Taos Inn (Doc Martin's) with great food and live music nightly. 2 blocks to the best area farmer's market. Take a pleasant evening stroll to the Taos Community Auditorium to view live theatre and independant films and lectures. A very quiet, safe neighborhood nestled in the middle of the historic district: Truly the best of both worlds!.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2002
I love Taos and wanted to buy what was my cherished apartment.
This location is a perfect fit for walking and enjoying what Taos offers without looking for parking. Quiet yet central.
Great deck, comfortable bed, accommodating host, excellent proximity to everything. What more do you need?
If you are in Taos and want to be fairly close to town, this is a great place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a walk.
Very spacious and clean. Bed slept great! Hot tub was wonderful but it is "shared" with the other rental below.
We didn't mind because no one else was interested in it so that was nice at the end of the day. The kitchen was great
because we like to take our own groceries and fix breakfast and a mid-day meal. If you are out in the evening, take a
flashlight with you because it is a pretty dark path once you get away from town. We always felt safe though and
actually enjoyed the walk. Most everything you will need is furnished for you if you need minimal supplies.
Be sure and take anything you need (other than TP) for the bathroom. Being from Texas, we love the cool breeze at
night but there were really only two windows to open..one in the bathroom and one over the sink in the kitchen. A window
unit will keep you cool, but if you like the night air, you might skip this one. All in all we were pleased and will keep
this rental in mind when we return to Taos. Thank you to our hosts for sharing!
Top of the line location a block or two from the Taos action for less than half the price of other rentals or hotels in the area!
The unit was perfect for what we needed. Quiet, clean, and Dish TV and wi fi for evening after dinner. We didn't cook but one could with the amenities Kate has provided. The deck is wonderful too with a great view of Mt Wheeler. How can you beat covered parking either?
I recommend this for any adult couple who just don't want to mess with overpriced hotels and all the hassle and noise that comes with them.
I probably will never find a Picasso at a garage sale but this is as close as I will come! Reserve now!
My husband and I had a wonderful two nights in Taos and the accommodations were very nice. We did have to go out and buy some toiletries which was no problem. Just wish we had known before we got there so we could have purchased them before we arrived. We will definitely book this apartment the next time we go to Taos.
It IS the best deal in Taos--I give this rental five stars not because it is perfect, but because it is an amazing value in a great part of town. The neighborhood is just off the main drag, but is pretty, and quiet, and easily walkable to the Plaza. We felt completely safe walking home after dark--while the entrance is in an alley, it runs between very nice, well-maintained homes. We only got in the car when our destination was outside the city limits. The living area is plenty big for two, with a nice kitchen, coffee maker, Cable TV, air conditioner when needed, and a comfortable bed. The bath has a shower stall (no tub), and enough room. There is a skylight and windows on three walls that let in lots of natural light. We didn't get to meet our hosts, but they made everything seamless and easy. For the price, you would expect some imperfections, and there are some rough edges (a broken window frame, some odd interior carpentry, a funky shower head, etc.), but for us, nothing that actually detracts from the usefulness and comfort of the rental. If you crave perfection, go elsewhere, but expect to pay twice as much or more. If you crave a safe, tidy, livable home base for exploring Taos on foot, don't spend more. Rent this one.
I enjoyed my stay at the Taos studio apartment. The place was comfortable and just exactly as looked in the pictures. The owners contacted me right away when I needed help with the door lock and internet login. It is very close to the Taos plaza so the location was great. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to the area!
