Gorgeous home

I loved staying at this property. It is well maintained and the location can't be beat. After staying at other VRBOs, I can tell you that the cost of this space is well worth it. I will definitely be back.

A stylish gem sits amongst the trees in Mill Valley

  • 5 of 5

Nestled away in the best area of Mill Valley, sits a gem of a house. The various outdoor sitting areas provide such a peaceful atmosphere, it's truly hard to leave this house. The beautiful layout provided views from every window upstairs and downstairs. I found myself ordering dinner in as I wanted to enjoy the uniqueness of the house, from the design and details to the surroundings. The location is key -- whether you just want to enjoy the town or hop on your bike to cycle or hike Mt. Tam, it is right out the door. The options for dining, cycling and hiking are top notch.

I extended my stay, as I just could not leave...and I cannot wait to go back. Every detail is thought of for the guests. You will see...it's a very special place.

Elegant home set in tranquil surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this upscale home and neighborhood. Well-appointed, the kitchen is more than fully equipped, and there are ample bath and bed linens. Beautiful mid century decor and amazing wall art. Very close to Muir Woods but not much of a drive to downtown SF made it possible for us to enjoy the tranquility of the neighborhood as well as see the sights of the city. Loved biking across the Golden Gate Bridge! Thank you, Adrienne, for the great accommodations!

Nice property in beautiful neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful property in a very nice neighborhood. Lots of space for our family of 4 and having parking for our rental car was a real plus given the narrow streets. Also, the property manager is very helpful and responsive. The only issue we had was the fold out couch, which we had intended to have our son sleep on. It is located in a dark basement next to the hot water heater and washer/dryer, so not really a desirable place to sleep. However, he slept fine on a couch in the upstairs living room, so it all worked out. Mill Valley is a very nice town. One tip - if going to see Muir Woods, get there before it opens (6:30 am or so) to beat the ridiculously large crowds and lack of parking.

Owner's Response: We appreciate every review we receive, thank you! Muir Woods is a very popular destination and you're right, it's best to arrive early, so we will add that note to the information in the Welcome Binder. Because this was the family's first VRBO rental experience, we were very happy to answer many emails and texts from the guest before and during their stay, including information about local bike rentals, distance to San Francisco, providing additional explanation of the listing photos, answering questions about the yard, explaining why the headline listing of the home was "the Redwood Grove Retreat", etc. We did explain that the fold out couch was on the lowest level, and because they said one of their teen boys would be sleeping there, we relied on past guest feedback which indicated that most teens really like the private space (even though it's not officially a bedroom and isn't listed as such, but it is very separate from the other levels). We appreciated all of the communications and the condition in which they left the home, and were happy to hear that this family hopes to return to Mill Valley and that they'd be pleased to stay at this home again. -ConciergeMarin

Beautiful home/Great location in a great town....

  • 5 of 5

Title says it all. Great property in a way cool town. You can hang there or venture out into wine country or the coast...the options are limitless. The home itself is absolutely immaculate and extremely comfortable and is easy walking distance from downtown Mill Valley. I would go back in a heart beat. Also, the property management co was extremely helpful and professional in our dealings with them. This was my first VRBO experience and I can only hope they are all as seamless as this!
