Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cabin in Cosby - Living Waters Cabin

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 3-8)

for more details! View 'Living Waters' Cabin.

For a great family cabin in the Smokies, it doesn't get any better than Living Waters! Adults and children alike will enjoy our over 200 feet of frontage on Cosby Creek (over 60 feet wide!). Trout fishing, tubing, skipping rocks - you can't beat it.

And unlike many Smoky Mountain cabins, Living Waters isn't right next to a dozen other cabins just like it - it is on over an acre and is very private - 20 to 25 minutes away from all of the crowds of Gatlinburg!

When they aren't playing in the water, the kids will love our 1 acre of 'yard' space - lots of room to throw the football, frisbee, and just have some room to roam!

Living Waters is a nearly new log cabin with practically every amenity you could ask for - fully equipped kitchen, fine furnishings, comfortable beds, flat screen HDTV, wireless internet - it's all here!

What makes this cabin unique

Having access on-site access to a blue ribbon trout stream is Living Waters' greatest asset. Plus, it's very private and quiet!

Nice cabin

  • 4 of 5

Really nice cabin on the creek. Cabin had a nice layout. All pans have been scratched up pretty bad. Not so many utensils. I think they only had 6 forks, and spoons. So you pretty much have to wash after each meal. Dishwasher would barely get soap out even when no dishes are in it. Didn't understand having to remove all sheets from the beds. About 20 miles away from Gatlinburg, and even more from Pigeon Forge. I did like the quiet though. Internet worked great, and so did cable. Stream was great to wade into. Ducks came by one day.

Spring stay 2013

  • 5 of 5

This is a very quaint and lovely home. There is houses across the creek and beside you on one side, but despite that it is a very quiet area. We seen one family out one day while we was there. The creek is just as nice as the little pigeon river in the more shallow areas. There is a covered porch area off two sides of the home, which would be really nice for a couple to spend some alone time. Nice big back deck and wonderful hottub. Neat as a pin and very beautiful, we loved our stay here. Only draw back if you are expecting a 10 minute drive back into Gatlinburg/pigeon forge this won't happen it is about a 25-30 minute drive into Gatlinburg. But a wonderful off the beaten path rental if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking for a nice Creekside rental then you have found what your looking for. Beautiful home!

Very Nice Cabin

  • 4 of 5

First let me say we REALLY enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The layout was great for our 3 families, the views were outstanding, and it was very peaceful and quiet. The wood construction is amazing and just like what you see in the pictures. 'The description says it is 20-25 minutes from Gatlinburg, and that is correct. After spending time in town, we really appreciated getting away from the crowds and traffic.

As a heads up, the cabin is not quite as secluded as the pictures show. What you don't see is the cabin next door which is very close, or the two cabins immediately across the creek. On one of our nicer weather days, there was actually a lot of noise and activity in the creek. Nothing obnoxious, or even close, but while this cabin does in fact sit on 1 acre, it is built to one corner of the property so you end up being close to other cabins/people.

Unfortunately for us, it rained 5 of 6 days we were there. Our 2nd day was Sunday and it stormed most of the afternoon. We noticed the cabin seemed pretty dark and realized there was a number (13) of missing or burned out light bulbs. I waited till Monday to call management. The lady I spoke to was incredibly nice and we had a great conversation. She mentioned she would send somebody out and asked me exactly what kind of bulbs were needed. In just a little time, the "cleaning lady" showed up with just 3 bulbs, and then moved working light bulbs around to try and make it lighter. We then thought maybe they would come back and replace the remainder of the missing bulbs. Nope. We ended up loosing another light or two, but didn't see anybody else for the rest of the week. Strange and somewhat frustrating for the price of the cabin. Also, the large back deck had a healthy dose of mold which became very slippery with all the rain! Lastly, the downstairs guest bathroom and the upstairs loft half bath had a horrible squeal/rattle/roar when you flushed. Somewhat disturbing in the middle of the night.

Anyway, the cabin was very clean when we arrived, adequately equipped for our party of 8, and I would certainly consider returning to the property. If you are looking for seclusion away from the crowds, this is a very good place. I give it a very solid 4, and would easily exceed a "5" with a little simple maintenance and upkeep.

Brinkmans & Bruce's Living Waters Stay

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at Living Waters on June 7th and when we arrived from Florida, we opened the door to a beautifully decorated log cabin that sits right on the creek. The cabin was equipped with all that you would need for a wonderful peaceful relaxing vacation. The sound of the creek lulled us to sleep at night and we woke up the the fresh mountain air and cool mornings. The location was also just beautiful. Was located in one of the most exquisite areas I have ever seen. Very quiet and tranquil. We enjoyed getting up in the morning and walking and just looking at the beauty of the mountains. If you are looking for a beautiful, spacious cabin that sits right on the creek, then this is the cabin you will want to rent. We enjoyed our week at Living Waters and would definately go back in the future. Thanks to all that made it possible and for the kindness and consideration of the management of Smoky Mountain Falls.
