Formerly the clubhouse of the Mt. Aggasiz Country Club, our home sits up high on a private 4 1/2 acre lot facing south with beautiful sunsets and a wonderful local mountain view.
SPECIAL NOTE: WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER NEWLY RENOVATED 3 BEDROOM HOME THAT SLEEPS 8 ACROSS THE STREET COMING ON-LINE THIS WINTER. ASK US ABOUT OUR GROUP RATES.
Just minutes from Rt. 93 and Rt. 142 , the whole house has been fully remodeled and tastefully furnished in the last twelve months and is ready for you to build lasting memories for up to 12 people. There are 4 bedrooms, two featuring queen beds, 2 full bathrooms and 2 half baths, a well appointed kitchen and a great room with a soaring cathedral ceiling boasting a huge field-stone fireplace and large woodstove that keeps every inch of the house toasty on even the coldest nights.
The master bedroom features a large 4 poster bed and a beautiful master bath and 40" flat-screen TV. The walk-up dorm features a queen, a twin XL and a twin bed and it's own half bath. The den features a full futon with it's own half bath and the loft a full and twin bed.
Other Features: Being a former restaurant manager, I have fully stocked the kitchen with just about any tool you would need to prepare a quick meal or a full-course dinner. And yes, the knives are sharp, the pans plentiful, and we have enough cocktail and beer glasses to start a small pub.
The dining room easily seats 8 and there are several side tables and extra chairs to accommodate new friends made on the slopes.
In addition to the main house is a fully insulated and heated 800 sq. ft porch also recently rebuilt that has a great ski-themed bar and a queen pull-out sofa and 40" Flat screen TV. It's a great place to unwind after a long hike or to throw back a few beers and boast about the gnarly bumps and steep trails you conquered at Cannon.
The front porch and yard: As the house was built in 1936 after the course was completed in 1933, the builders had enough time to pick the very best location to take advantage of not only the views but also the warming rays of the sun. We regularly eat breakfast and dinner out on the deck until December. Because of the Alpine climate and the fact that the house is at 2000 feet of elevation, the air is clean, the mosquitoes almost non-existant and the night sky views incredible as there are no streetlights.
Last, but not least is the yard. The front and back yards were once some of the tees, fairways and greens of the Mt. Aggasiz country club and have 4 fruit producing apple trees as well as raspberry and blueberry bushes. No need to travel to Sugar Hill for the Lupine festival since you have your own field of Lupines right out your front door!
We've even built a large fire pit with natural apple-tree benches and old milk jug seats where you can make s'mores, sing songs and talk the night away.
