Best place to stay

  • 5 of 5

When we found that the usual place we stayed at for our cousin weekend was not available we had to find another place. So happy it all worked out when we found this beautiful home. This home is so roomy and comfortable and is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Needless to say we will not be going back to the old place but instead will be looking forward to staying here again.

We rented this property for a relaxing anniversary getaway and it was way beyond our expectations! The wonderful views of the lake, finding sea glass on the shore, watching the eagle! On top of all that there are many places to go explore if you want to leave the wonder property and everything that goes with it!

You'll Never Get Tired Of That View

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautiful, even more beautiful than the pictures. It was a perfect spot for the 6 of us to relax , drink some wine, and forget about work for a minute. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the lake but when we were inside after the sun went down, there was plenty of seating at the dining room table to play games together, or for everyone to have a seat in the living room to watch TV or read a book. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was tiny and clean. The owners were responsive the entire time from the moment we booked, answering any questions and communicating with us along the way. They even checked in to make sure we didn't need anything after we arrived. They really do have everything you would need from soap to trash bags to laundry detergent etc. They have a book with menus and directions to local dining and wineries. We highly recommend this place for your get away. I have to admit we were nervous at first because it was our first vacation rental dealing directly with an owner but it was a perfect experience from start to finish. We can't wait to go back!!

Very Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We found this home to be very peaceful and the perfect answer for an enjoyable vacation. You really can't beat being right on the lake and the views of the sunsets. The home is very comfortable and spacious. It is also well-stocked with everything you need for a great time. We loved how the area was not highly populated, but we remained close to anything we needed. We couldn't have asked for more during this vacation.

Unbelievably wonderful.

Such a great house to spend a weekend with my favorite girls (mom, sister, sister in law and nieces) we loved the house and had everything we needed. Super clean. 3 great levels of living all our needs were met. A nice back yard a wonderful deck to eat and watch sunset. Great beach for sea glass collection. We loved every minute of being here and hope to come back again next year.

Awesome Double Rainbow

  • 5 of 5

We just celebrated our 48th anniversary with a wonderful stay at this lovely home. 6 adults in our party. One of my brother-in-laws didn't think there would be much to do this time of year. Let me start by saying we were so impressed with how well equipped and comfortable this house was, all you need is clothes. Visited Presque Isle State Park, several wineries and tastings ( really good selection of white wines here, and bought many of them), enjoyed a comedy club and some really good restaurants, (The Cork, Freeport, Pineapple Eddie's (excellent), Robolo's Chocolatiers, also visited Portage Pies and had the best cherry pie ever, a couple of casinos, and the awesome beauty of Niagara Falls. There were still many things we couldn't do like a cruise on the lake on the Princess Victoria, cross over into Canada (some people forgot their passports). My husband found an old femur bone while walking on the beach. He turned it over to the police, who in turn will send it to the forensic team at Mercyhurst College. While enjoying morning coffee we watched a rainbow form, followed by a 2nd which then crossed the lake toward the house. Got some great sequential pictures of that. Enjoyed time on the deck just talking and enjoying the beauty around us. Last but not least enjoyed some great pears which had fallen from the tree. Thanks Gary and Linda for allowing us to spend such a wonderful time in your home.
