It's perfect. That is about all I can say. My husband, daughter and myself stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly being so close to the water. Location is perfect! Will definitely be booking again. Thanks, Randy!

Shack with a pretty view

  • 1 of 5

Pros: The view! So pretty to be over the water. Easy check in/out.

Cons: This shack had a makeshift feel to it. The master bedroom had an area carpet stapled to the wall to cover a window that was directly outside our oarkibpng spot. The parking spot was inches from a busy road near a crazy turn. If we would have had another option for parking, I probably would have taken it because it was that sketchy. The floors were slanted and creaked, the furniture was somewhat clean but were due for a steam cleaning Overall it felt like our family was staying in a frat house.

I don't see what others are seeing? We usually stay in basic hotels but this was not even close. In fact I waited 7 months to complete this review because I felt I had to see what the lasting impression was after some time. The comments above clearly stood out enough to comment on them. Very disappointed.

Nice and Cozy

  • 4 of 5

We rated in Mr. Jones's rental on 12/26, the day after Maria, who asked for one night in return in a note she had left shown to by the landlord. They didn't let Mr. Jones know that they left, an we wanted it for the week.

It's much nicer then a hotel. The bathroom and kitchen are small but clean and had full sized appliances.

What a view!!

It was plenty warm, and yes there is a baseboard heater in the bedroom.

I think she wanted only one night from the start and was cheating the nice landlord.

Cold and Uncomfortable

  • 1 of 5

If you are desperate only consider this rental. The cottage was freezing and heated primarily with a portable heater; we didn't run it as we were frightened about a potential issues during the night. The shower is small and extremely cold I would wish this place on anyone. Not sure what they mean about Randy being accommodating he turned the heater on when we arrived didn't have the key in the outside lock so we had to call him; only time we saw him.

Owner's Response: The key wasn't in the outside lock box because this guest showed up at 11 AM when check in is at 1:30 PM and it only took me one minute to open the door for them. I let them in 2 1/2 hours early and after she looked around she said it looked great. The bedroom is a normal electric baseboard heater (not portable) and the living room is a quartz zone heater. My current tenants laughed at this review. The sad part is the current tenants wanted the whole week. This guest skipped on the second night but didn't call or try to get a hold of me at all. Instead she left a note for me to find when I showed up for cleaning.

You will love this place!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental is not a Holiday Inn, it is so much better! You will find that Randy and Frank have thought of everything and are very accommodating. The house is located on the water with the best view especially at sunset. Because it is centrally located, we were easily able to explore and enjoy the Seattle area and it's many attractions. I would highly recommend this rental as it far exceeded our expectations.

Just wanted everyone to know this place is a jem. The house is cozy the view is I can't even put into words it is AMAZING!! ! The owners are wonderful and very accomadating. Its been over a year since we have been back.and Iam planning a trip back very soon. We have stayed there twice and wouldn't even consider staying any where else I would replan my whole itenary just so I would be able to stay there. It is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed . You would have to be crazy to not want to rent this place. Dig for clams, private beach, all kinds of really cool wild life, fishing, close to shops and bars. Thank you Randy for sharing your house and letting us tay in one of the most coolest places I have ever seen. Oh I almost forgot you can hear the ocean under the house when the tide is in how cool is that!!!!!
