Absolutely Amazing Vacation on Kentucky Lake/Tennessee River

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this amazing lake house in September of 2016. EVERYTHING was top notch. As other reviews have stated the pictures do not do this house justice. First of all, the views are unbelievable!! There is water everywhere!! The house sits on a peninsula so there is water in the front and the back of the house. The deck is perfect for drinking coffee, eating meals, or just standing out there to look at the awesome views. The boat slip was down a few flights of stairs from the house. We spent a large amount of time on our 18 foot fishing boat and on the dock fishing. The boat ramp is a very short walk from the front door of the house. It could not be more convenient.

The house is perfect. It had everything we needed and more. The master bed was very comfortable. The showers were hot, good pressure, easy to use. The washer and dryer, refrigerator, ice machine, and dish washer worked flawlessly. We brought all of our meals and food and besides our boat outings we never left the house. Which was so relaxing. I brought magazines and a good book. It was perfect!! The dual AC units kept the house cool even on the hottest days. As other reviews have stated, there is minimal cell phone service. We found this to be true during the day, but we had weak but usable signal in the evening/nighttime hours (AT&T is our cell carrier). This would never keep me from staying here. It was actually a nice way to decompress. The owner was so, so accommodating and timely in his replies. We had initially planned on staying 5 nights, but added on a night half way through our stay, because we did not want to leave!! This vacation was one of the most relaxing trips we have ever taken and we CANNOT wait to go back!!!

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house was amazing we had a wonderful family vacation. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. Sitting on the deck watching the boy’s fish from the dock was something I will never forget. Very quiet house is on a private road. We did have some cell phone service at times. The only drawback was the closest store is 1/2 hr to 45 minutes away. I would recommend this house to anybody looking for a peaceful vacation with great views.

Best Place on Kentucky Lake/Tennessee River

  • 5 of 5

I hate to share such a wonderful secret because it may make it harder to book a stay next time, but honestly, this place is great! Stayed for 3rd time and it has been a pleasure each time. The views of Kentucky Lake/TN River are just amazing! Sitting on the deck watching the sun rise on one side while the sunsets are even more beautiful on the other. And the house is gorgeous and well-laid out inside. Very comfortable. We travel 70 miles by river and park our boat in the slip provided, then venture out to the marinas and bars like Fat Daddy's, Pirates Cove, Pebble Isle, and others during the day for great entertainment and food. It's also great to grill and hang out on the deck over the water in the evenings for a little R&R. It is one of the best times I have each year on the water!

The house was beautiful with lots of windows and deck areas overlooking KY lake. It was an extremely peaceful vacation home. Although it rained almost every day, we got out and explored the area. There is a federal park "Land Between the Lakes" and the Cumberland River within an hour's drive that had breathtaking views. I would return here to this home anytime. Thanks for letting us enjoy it.

My husband and I have very stressful jobs, so we were looking for a place to relax and provide calmness. We so enjoyed the relaxation. Be prepared, there is no cell phone service or internet. But there is satellite tv. If you are really into relaxing and having a tranquil spot, this is your place. The location and home were beautiful. No matter what window you looked out, you had a view of the lake. The house sort of sits on a peninsula and the only traffic you have on your road is the family that lives at the end of the road. The boat dock is 100 yards from your front door. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The deck is the most amazing part of the house as you can see forever. The weather was unseasonable warm, 88 - 90 degrees each day. Too hot for the fish to bite, but there were plenty of them.

The only drawback (for me) was that you had to travel for one hour before you came into a decent size town. (Clarksville) That is just me, I love to shop. I wish we would have spent more time talking to the locals, but you have to go into a small town or hang out at the Danville Grill and Bait shop located at the load dock. The house has it's own dock for your boat and that was wonderful. Very convenient. The house was so nice and so well layed out. Having a washer and dryer was awesome. The home had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the lake justice. You won 't be disappointed if you stay there.

Exceeded Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 7 adults enjoyed a flawless Memorial Day weekend at this beautiful lake house. The house is located on a peninsula with the boat ramp visible from the front of the house. A short boat ride, and we were able to conveniently tie up at the dock in the back of the house. There are views of the water on all sides. Beautiful spot!

The house was well-appointed, and absolutely immaculate. We appreciated the games that were available, and had a rousing few games of Scrabble one night. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and the grill on the deck was a welcome addition. The beds were comfortable, and we were able to sleep 7 adults without issue.

We wished the whole trip that we had brought our fishing gear. Everywhere you looked, people were pulling in fish. Next time, we will come better prepared. This area looked like a fisherman's paradise!

We took a long boat ride to Pickwick one day and were absolutely amazed at the smoothness of the river. It wasn't a bit choppy, and the water was clear and free from debris like logs, etc., that you sometimes see when boating. We were amazed and enjoyed tubing a couple of days.

One thing to note...there is absolutely no cell service. We were not even able to pick up Pandora on the water, so be sure to save any maps with directions to your phone beforehand. I luckily had done that, and we were able to find grocery stores, etc., as a result. Also, the routes that pull up from Mapquest included a route that required a ferry crossing. This was extremely convenient and right next to the boat ramp, but be sure to check the hours of operation if you decide to take that route. It is limited.

Tommy, thank you so much for the use of your beautiful home! We had such a wonderful time, and I really appreciate all your help. It was just what we all needed...a relaxing, stress-free break.
