We love this home it is just a short walk to everything.
And watching people come and go while sitting on the balcony.
Boat launching can be very amusing.
A great place to stay, so close to everything and the house is wonderfull.
Balcony with table/2 chairs & 1 Adirondack chair, living room, large bedroom, nice bath - all recently remodeled...1 street back from water....full water view blocked by condos across street, but water views to either side from balcony...great location, though, for walking or biking around Cedar Key....restaurants, shops, beach all within 5 minute walk....would stay here again...NOTE: on 3rd floor above parking and another apartment so has 2 flights of stairs
As we travel and work at the same time often, we find it neessary to have wifi.
Although I do not slight the owner, the town needs to get their act together and
allow towers in their locale to make communication via the internet stronger.
That is my only complaint about Cedar Key.
What a great little town to visit.
We got in kinda like last minute. Must be someone cancelled because the choices were slim.
The manager was very accomodatiing and pleasant.
The room was in an excellent location.
Had a little problem with the A/C but manager made it right.
Definitely would return.
We decided to escape the cold for Christmas and drove down to Florida from North Carolina. We stayed at the Marigold House for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. The house was spotless, surprisingly spacious, and it definitely felt like home away from home. Everything is in walking distance- restaurants, art co-ops, the pier, etc. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at infamous Tony's which is literally 2 minutes walking distance from the house. You can also watch the beautiful sunrise & sunset over the ocean from the balcony. We have already told all our friends about this place & will definitely be coming back!!
We keep returning to your First Street location for a quiet relaxing time or a wonderful place to spend time with friends.
Both apartments are very comfortable & clean with a great waterfront view including the boat launching area. Roam the area to stores and restaurants, to local island atmospheres and to view gorgeous sunsets.
What a deal!

The new owners welcome you to Marigold House in relaxing Cedar Key. Where nature is at its finest. This quiet fishing village awaits your arrival with great sunsets and a place to unwind. Nature trails abound, go out to the wildlife refuge where you can find many trails and hiking opportunities. Cedar Key is an artist's dream as well as a great place to get pictures. You can kayak or just get a boat to one of the islands to hunt for shells. During low tide you can walk out and find shells as well as see all the wildlife that lives in the gulf. Seafood is abundant you can get fresh that day clams and oysters as well other fish on the island.
Come to just get away, you came to the right spot. Just sit back and relax no need to do anything if you so choose. Just watching the gulf will put you at peace.
