About Steve Ferrante

Local business attorney, recently returned to Colorado after spending 12 years in Chile. Speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese (working on Italian). Returned to Colorado for the clean mountain air. Absolutely loves the Town of Estes Park.

I missed the Rocky Mountains, after 12 years in Chile, and when I finally made it back to Colorado, I ended up in Estes Park. (God’s doing.) I love Estes Park! Especially the people here. I stay involved in many local community organizations, such as Rotary, the Estes Area Lodging Assoc., Crossroads Ministry, Estes Valley Partners for Commerce, and several others.

Steve Ferrante purchased this apartment in 2010

the Hidden Retreat

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Retreat. Everything was clean and available. Location is very quiet. I did not like the idea of a pink house though but it was okay. If I had one wish it would be a night light to plug in on the way to the bathroom at night. It was very dark…. The children found one DVD they enjoyed. We didn't use the TV: vacationing!

Close to everything

Every extra piece of information helps fellow travelers make the right decision. Detailed reviews of vacation rental homes makes finding the perfect place easier

Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc ? Yes.

Was the property clean and well-maintained ? - Yes

Did the owner provide good customer service ? The information that was supposed to be sent prior to the date wasn't sent, but fortunately there was someone there who was able to let us in and provide the information on wifi login information and where to find extra sheets.

Would you recommend this property to your friends or relatives ? The living room was very small and not good for gathering, however, there was a patio with table and chairs and a grill that would be a great gathering spot. It was very close to town with off street parking, which is SO important if you have a car and need parking. Off street parking is hard to find. A fan for each bedroom would be nice.

What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike near by ? Estes Park is great. We were able to hang out and shop in town and spend alot of time in the Rocky Mountain National Park. The best of both worlds.

Very Comfortable and Spacious!

  • 5 of 5

My wife & I were very appreciative of how spacious, clean, tastefully updated and well appointed this 2 bed, 1.5 bath apartment was! The apartment not only has a spacious kitchen with small table and counter seating, but it is sufficiently stocked with pots, pans, & utensils for 'eating in' and saying some $$$ on restaurants.

What is lacking in "mountain views" the apartment more than makes up for that in being very convenient to downtown Estes shops & restaurants, as well as easy access to both entrances to RMNP, enjoying the Big Thompson river walk, or access to the Lumpy Ridge area for hiking.

Also:

2 large flat screens, DVD players.

The full-size washer/dryer was a real plus, too!

The property manager and owner were extremely responsive and accommodating.

Excellent Location!

  • 4 of 5

We were lucky enough to get to stay for four nights over 4th of July weekend and it couldn't have been better! It really provides the best of both worlds. It's literally one block into the heart of town, a very short jaunt to the grocery store, and close to an outer road that gets you into Rocky Mountain Park without the hassle of traffic. The view from the deck is gorgeous and although it's the homeowners actual deck, we had it all to ourselves every evening that we were there. We would most definitely stay there again.

Centrally located, comfortable basement apartment

  • 2 of 5

Nice size apartment and a lovely deck. Owner was home and we felt like we were imposing. It was not private. But the spa bath was lovely! Good location downtown.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you felt like you were imposing. I try to make the rental feel like its own entity. Although we may share the same driveway the two private entrances to the rental keep contact to a minimum. Im a happy you enjoyed the amenities.

Perfect spot in Estes Park!

  • 5 of 5

This is definitely the best place to stay in Estes Park. The location is situated perfectly in between the Rocky Mountain National Park and the main drag in town with all the food and shopping. The owner Glenn met us when we got there and was gracious enough to show us around and make sure we knew the dangers of the bears in the area. Since we are bear newbies that was very useful information. The condo is very clean, has plenty of storage, and has great views. The Fourth of July fireworks show was perfectly viewable from the deck. We had a perfect trip to Estes Park. We will be back!
