About Sandy Yates

I grew up in Lewiston and love this unique border town so steeped in rich history. Lewiston is a little hamlet very close to Niagara Falls and was burned down in the War of 1812.. I know everything about this area , past and present and love interacting with my guests. I try very hard to not only welcome them but am intent on learning and guiding them to having the best vacation they could possibly have.

Sandy Yates purchased this house in 2008

Why Sandy Yates chose Greater Niagara

This is a wonderful property. The neighborhood is so quiet and friendly. It is only 3 streets of small houses and cottages with the wonder of Lake Ontario, right there in your back yard. Ot os a very special place and one can't help but bond and relax while there. It is so close to all the action, but yet it is wonderful to come home to peace and tranquility. !

What makes this house unique

There are so many benefits, it is hard to know where to start. The lake front is just. a few steps away from the house. Although it is private to only the residents of this small community, it is like having your own private lake because there is seldom anyone at the lakefront. There is a wonderful spacious living room with a wrap around couch that is so perfect for visiting with family and friends. I love dogs and even offer an extra service in which I can watch your dog with tender loving care, if you decide to take a long day trip to Canada or elsewhere. .

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed your house and would love to come again. It is fantastic and the sunset and sunrise is terrific over the Lake Ontario. Thanks so much for letting us share your home.

Our stay was PERFECT! Sandy was a pleasure to deal with and was very accommodating! The home had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We were honeymooning and very pleased with the quiet and friendly community. We even met a few locals that we wined and dined with. The views of lake are amazing!! Thank you Sandy! We will return!!

Weekend get away

  • 4 of 5

check in / out process with Sandy was flawless. House was as described. Location is PERFECT for everything you have in mind in the Niagara area. 15-20 minutes to all the action. pizza place at gas station in Youngstown is a good pie and they deliver. Lewiston about 10 minutes away has great selection of shops and dinning. Ask Sandy for some ideas... she was very informative. The walk way over to the bench on the bank of Lake Ontario is out the front door and across the street... breathtaking. Grab a bottle or two of a local wine and watch time and your wine disappear. Thank you Sandy for everything and being pet friendly.

Great place to rent!

  • 4 of 5

Sandy is a wonderful host. We arrived earlier than check in time and she had the house ready. She offered recommendations for dining and sight seeing. You can see the lake as you walk out the front door to the left. Renting the house fits our lifestyle versus staying in a hotel. We had plenty of room for the kids to play. The house is older but the upkeep has been maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

House in Youngstown, NY

  • 5 of 5

I spent a week here with my daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. The house is just as depicted here on VRBO. The spectacular view of Lake Ontario is just steps away. The neighborhood is very quiet - nice to return to after a day of playing tourist.

The house was well stocked with what we needed for the week. The kitchen is complete enough to be able to cook a nice dinner instead of eating out.

We would suggest that anyone renting the house with small children bring a baby gate to close off the laundry and steps area from the kitchen. We were glad that we had brought one with us as our little one loves steps.

The owner was a delight to deal with. From our initial request to book through our entire stay, Sandy was in touch to make sure we had what we needed.

If I return to the Youngstown area, I will definitely book this house again.
