You will feel at home in this quaint in-town bungalow in the heart of Livingston - one of Montana's liveliest surprises. The home is tastefully decorated and cozy, stocked with everything you need to make your vacation easy and comfortable. We invite you to make yourself at home in our home and our town. Livingston boasts endless outdoor recreation opportunities, is home to some of the region's finest restaurants (the 2nd Street Bistro- and the town of Livingston - was recently featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations), has a thriving art community with many galleries hosting some of the regions most desired artists. The town is friendly, historic, western, and all-American. It is surrounded by mountains, rivers, historic town, scenic drives, fabulous shopping, restaurants, and the friendliest (quirky) people you will find anywhere.

About Brooke Cottongim

Owner Scott is a native of Oklahoma, born and raised. He owns a custom cabinetry and wood working business which has been in his family for 30 years. He loves the mountains and gets away from Oklahoma as often as he can - deciding that a home close the skiing, fishing, hiking and his daughter and grandkids wasn't a bad idea. He has grown to love Livingston and his 'other home' in Big Sky Country. The property is overseen by his daughter, Brooke who owns a property management and vacation rental business.

Brooke Cottongim purchased this house in 2007

Why Brooke Cottongim chose Yellowstone

The decision to purchase a home in Livingston was simple: small town (but not too small), friendly, friendly people, and in a location more beautiful than any place I have ever been. It immediately feels like home and offers me the getaway and respite I need every single time I step off the airplane in Bozeman. The town has it all - but not too much. Delicious food, world class entertainment and events, and Yellowstone National Park - just 50 miles from my door!

What makes this house unique

I love that I can walk to the Yellowstone River from my house. I can sit on my porch and see MOUNTAINS and families strolling down the sidewalks. I love that I can walk to the park, 1 block from my door and see the occasional MOOSE, trout in the river, and a real live Mountain community living and thriving. I am in love with the FOOD of this town. World class restaurants and chefs creating delicious meals featuring locally sourced foods. The coffee shops downtown are the heartbeat of the community, where I can walk in after being gone for 2 months and get a friendly welcome from my old friends. I love that I can be on a hiking trail, deep into a Wilderness area within 10 minutes of finishing up my cup of morning coffee. I appreciate that the winters and summers are equally filled with possibility and activity. There is no 'down' season here. It is all wonderful and real and I find the simplicity that I wish I could find in Tulsa.

Lovely home in a great little town!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this lovely home while attending the Fly Fishers International fair in Livingston. The newly remodeled kitchen was a delight. The home is spacious and accommodated 4 adults perfectly. It is within walking distance to the river and the park and we took advantage of that. Brooke was a helpful host and the home is well stocked with everything you might need. We hope to be back! Linda

Charming Vacation Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Livingston and used this charming restored cottage as our base of operations (2 parents, daughter-age 18, son-age 20). We were in town for a family wedding and it was so nice to have a HOME rather than a hotel room. The cottage is clean, well-maintained, well-equipped, and ideally situated in town near the intersection of 7th and Geyser. Lovely remodeled bath, hardwood floors, basement sitting area, washer, dryer, patio area with cushioned chairs and glass top table, grill, parking on street or via alley in back, internet, TV. The bedroom window AC units were used only 1 night, simply opening the windows and doors in the evening cooled the house readily. We walked to our other family member's rental homes and to Sacajawea Park (yes, here they use the spelling with a 'j') right down the block. In between all the wedding festivities the girls did Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs, and the shops in town while the boys did a few bachelor nights at a local ranch, went fly fishing and skeet shooting. We even dog-sat a few evenings for the very busy bridal couple - the house is dog-friendly, has room inside for a kennel if needed, and has a fenced back yard. We loved walking the pup around the neighborhood (be sure to look for the street names in the concrete at the sidewalk corners - Lewis, Clark, Yellowstone, etc....) and by the end of our week we felt truly at home (even met some of the neighbors). This town has a fabulous dining vibe - try Gil's (Best. Grits. Ever.) and the Beanery for breakfast, Mustang for lunch, the 2nd Street Bistro for dinner, and get your meat at Matt's Meats for a great home-cooked meal in the nice kitchen. It was a pleasure working with Brooke, the agent, she was responsive to all our needs and queries. We'll be back!

Awesome Vacation Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 2 nights while we visited Yellowstone. Great for day trips to the park but nice to get away from all the tourist locations. The house is charming and very comfortable and very reasonably priced!! Thank you for the great addition to our 2-week road trip - it was nice to stay at a home, rather than a hotel!

Great for family vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family of four (husband, wife, 2 boys under 10) stayed at this home for five nights over the 4th of July [don't miss the Livingston Rodeo]. The house was very clean and nicely kept. The bathroom has been nicely updated and the kitchen has a lot of space for a home of this vintage. The washer and dryer came in handy after hikes on the Pine Creek Trail, rafting the Yellowstone River [I recommend Paradise Advenutre Company paradiserafting.com] and trekking around Yellowstone National Park [I recommend Yellowstone Guidelines www.yellowstoneguidelines.com]. Even on the unusually hot days, the home's floor fan, ceiling fans, and the window ac units in both bedrooms kept us cool. My husband was thrilled to have WiFi. My boys were thrilled with the cable. I was thrilled that Albertson's, the grocery store, is 1.2 miles from this house. The house is also located to easily walk to Sacagawea Park [go to the farmers' market on Wednesdays during the summer] or any other place you want to go to in Livingston.
