Red Stag Lodge #301: This top floor, corner condo is a private getaway, a two bedroom, three bath fully equipped mini-ski lodge steps from the ski lifts at the base of Deer Valley. It enjoys an abundance of windows and natural light. A floor-to-ceiling rock wall and impressive mantle accent the convenient gas fireplace. Tall windows bring the beautiful mountains views indoors into the spacious family room. The pine paneled walls and vaulted ceilings make this your own personal ski lodge. After a day of skiing you can relax in your own hot tub ( new summer 2016) on a private porch outside the family room/dining room area.

The Red Stag Lodge/RSL was built as a boutique hotel in 2002 in time for the Winter Olympics then converted to Condos in 2007. We have garage parking and our top floor unit is accessible via an elevator. This is an intimate Lodge with unique common areas. In the Red Stag Lodge - Unit #301 is the only individually owned Condo with tall windows with transoms and a vaulted ceiling in the family room area allowing for beautiful mountain views and natural light.

A free bus service is available within 100 feet of our front door which will take you anywhere in Park City. Historic Main Street in Old Town is less than 5 minutes away with all of it's shops and restaurants. Just off Main street you can catch the Town Lift to Park City Mountain resort for snowboarding and skiing.

About Bruce & Jenny

Our family spent 15 years skiing and owning a property in the Aspen/Snowmass Village area of Colorado. We enjoyed the area but grew tired of having our flights into and out of Aspen canceled on a regular basis due to bad weather.

After 5 trips to Park City/ Deer Valley we purchased this condo unit which we now use as our 2nd home.

We discovered that we could easily access the SLC airport and be on the slopes within 40 minutes. Better yet was the outstanding skiing and well deserved reputation of Deer Valley being the #1 ski resort in North America. We also enjoy the year round sports activities, friendly people, great dining, Sundance film festival and weekly summer concerts located at the base of Deer Valley. All of these amenities are within steps of our door.

We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do and have a wonderful stay!

Lovely condo short walk to base of DV

Excellent Ski & Sundance Vacation Condo

This place provided everything we needed. Location was excellent with easy access to the ski resorts (walking distance to Deer Valley), a simple 10 minute (free) bus ride to downtown Park City, and bus pick up / drop off right in front of the condo. It was also just the right distance away from downtown allowing you to enjoy the excitement and then come back to a quieter, relaxing place. The condo itself was clean, spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a group or even a couple. Better yet, there was a HOT TUB to relax in after a long day! And the owners were fantastic. Very accommodating. We'd definitely stay here again.

Deer Valley Red Stag Lodge # 301

The unit is clean and the furnishings are nicely appointed. The condo sleeps 8 and has 3 full baths so that is a plus. The keyless entry systems are also convenient, as is the walk to Snow Park Lodge. The garage door was out of order when we stayed at Red Stag and there is only one elevator, so the waits are longer than one would want. In addition, there are a couple of things that could be updated and the lighting is first on the list. Since the Red Stag Lodge was a boutique hotel during the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, it has hotel lighting --- lamps with low wattage bulbs and no overhead / recessed illumination in the bedrooms, bathrooms, or living room. If you are reading a book in bed rather than an iPad, it will be nearly impossible to see the print on the page. Dresser space is spare to non-existent in the master bedroom and in the living room area where the sleeper sofa is. Even though we only rented the condo for four nights, we were caught off guard when we had to buy shampoo, coffee and other staples. A previous experience with AirBnB in Amsterdam spoiled us-- the owner stocked the frig with milk, juice, etc. and had fresh bread and other goodies waiting for us,even though our stay was only two nights. Check out time in unit 301 is 10a.m., which we were able to extend to one hour when I spoke directly to the owner rather than the manager. Unless 10am suits your needs, negotiate a later check out time.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments and for staying at our Unit. We're glad you found our Condo clean and it's furnishings nicely appointed. We apologize for the garage door being left open for several days. The motor had to be replaced and unfortunately it took 5 days to order the part then have it delivered and installed. Our property manager supplies each of the three bathrooms with a 2 to 3 day supply of soaps, shampoos and lotion. In the kitchen he has a starter kit for making a pot of coffee. Most of our Winter Guests stay 4 to 7 days and are families. They usually do a full stock up at the Grocery Store we recommend (as part of our "Letter of Introduction" which is emailed one week in advance of their arrival) either en route from the airport or within 24 hours. Lastly, our check in and check out times are listed in our rental agreement and our Letter of Introduction. We are fully booked and 100% occupied once again this ski season so often we have departures and new arrivals the same day which is what happened in your case. The 10 AM departure time allows our Property Manager's maids ample time to clean our Condo and do all the laundry for our new Guests since they service other properties throughout Park City as well.

Family ski trip

Just got back from Deer Valley. This was our second trip and first time at RSL. We really enjoyed it! Plenty of room for everyone and all the gear. Centrally located in the resort with easy access to slopes and downtown Park City. Would stay again!
