About the property

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Nestled in the residential Parioli-Salario district, (Gaetano's) Nino's house is located in the heart of Rome, just a few steps away from the tranquility of Villa Borghese, one of the largest landscaped gardens in Rome, and from Via Veneto, probably the most famous, elegant and trendy street in Rome.

On the first floor of a beautiful historic building at via Basento 55, a quiet and elegant street, the apartment overlooks the blooming inner courtyard, and thanks to the double-glazed windows, it is a perfect choice for those seeking a relaxing holiday in The Eternal City, without giving up a central location.

Recently renovated, Nino’s House is divided into 2 levels: on the lower level, a large and bright living area furnished with a comfortable sofa bed (perfect for 1 adult or for 2 children), a dining table for 4 people, and a TV.

A beautiful staircase leads to the large mezzanine level which has a double bed and a spacious wardrobe. A personal computer is available for our guests. Both the living and the sleeping area are enlightened by 2 large windows.

A modern kitchen, fully equipped with oven, microwave, washing machine, etc. and bathroom with shower complete this spotless apartment in Rome.

Nino’s House is tastefully furnished with both tiled and parquetry floor, and it is absolutely perfect for a couple looking for a romantic week-end in Rome or for a small family: it can sleep up to 3/4 people.

Fully equipped with heating and air conditioning, WiFi Internet connection, personal computer, direct dial telephone (calls throughout Italy included in price), hair dryer, iron and ironing board and full size fridge.

The area around the apartment is full of many typical Italian restaurants, a department store, as well as numerous shops.

Highly recommend Nino's apartment

  • 5 of 5

True to all the reviews by other guests, Nino's apartment is a great place to stay and exceeded our expectations. It is exactly what the photos show. The apartment is within an elegant residential area and we feel very safe even walking back late at night. The whole apartment including the bathroom is spotlessly clean and I felt comfortable walking barefoot around the house. The apartment has tons of natural light. The shower has good water pressure and there is no problem with drainage. Nice towels and bed linens. The bed is very comfortable and firm. Nino is a fantastic host and responded to our enquiries (before and during our stay) within minutes. The welcome gift was also a nice gesture. Before Nino walked us around the neighbourhood to show us where everything was, he spreaded out a map and dotted on it some preferred restaurants in the neighbourhood, what number of buses & trams to take to popular destinations and even gave us a 10% discount card for use in the supermarket. This little expedition saved us a lot of time in researching on the internet ourselves. Internet connection is great with excellent signal strength. However, if shopping is your main purpose of visiting Rome, then there is not much to offer in the vicinity as it is mainly a residential area. However, if you are a walker, the apartment is only 30 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps and Via del Corso where all the shops are. One thing to note is that if you are over 175 cm (5 ft 9 in) you won't be able to stand up straight on the upper floor bedroom. I recommend Nino's apartment to everyone who visit Rome.

Great Place with Great Host!!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was in a nice area close to the metro train and the bus stops. Nino was extremely helpful. He walked us around the area to the grocery store, the bus stop and told us what bus numbers to take to get to the tourist sites. His apartment is next door and he was available if we had any questions. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows great! We purchased the 3-day Roma pass which included all transportation! Nino is a great host and we really liked him! Great place to stay for two!! Thanks Nino.... 😀򐀠P.S. Loved the public water fountains all over the city where we could fill up our bottles or drink! Amazing!

A great place

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful week in this apartment. It was very clean, comfortable, well set up, secure and quiet. Nino is a most interesting, welcoming and helpful host. He guided us around the charming area and even showed us his favourite supermarket. Because we are foodies we appreciated the nearby daily market and the great kitchen which even had reasonable cooking knives. Having visited Rome several times we were after 'off the tourist beaten track' experiences and the apartment was very well located for that with quite a few very interesting sites nearby. Plus there are some very good restaurants close by but unfortunately we did not have time to get to many of them. Nino also organized our trip out to the airport. The car was punctual and the driver very good. Just wish we had more time to stay longer. Buses and trams were also very convenient. Hopefully we will be back at some time and would most certainly recommend a stay there.

Fantastic apartment, great area, wonderful host

  • 5 of 5

We loved the apartment that was beautiful and spotless in a lovely, safe area. It is just like the pictures, very comfortable and has everything you could need and very convenient to transit. Nino was so helpful and quick to respond right from our original contact. Thank you for such a kind welcome and your help during our stay. It was really great to meet you and talk with you about your Rome. Would highly recommend this home and look forward to returning someday.

Nino was very helpful in settling our party into the apartment and Rome in general. The suite is well stocked, and Nino has a lovely welcome gift to all of his guest. He takes time out to orientate you to the best local bistros, grocery and speciality shops. Really lovely spot for a vacation in Rome. Would recommend this property to friends and family!
