Happy family

  • 5 of 5

This well stocked house has its own small beach, large lakefront yard, and pier which is great for fishing. Our family enjoyed the excellent location in a beautiful neighborhood, near the quaint town of Vermilion, OH. The owner was nice enough to stop by to let us know about two festivals happening during our week. We saw amazing sunsets from the large, comfortable screened in porch, after barbecuing on the grill. It is a great house for families to enjoy a vacation together and create wonderful memories. We recommend staying here. 😎

Cozy and Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do NOT do this quaint home justice. Perfect location and very quiet! We stayed here over labor day weekend and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing getaway! We especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch!

My 5 young adult children and I had a wonderful stay here right on the shore of Lake Erie. The home was extremely well equipped for a wonderful stay, It even has a bicycle built for two to use! The decor was so well done, mixing nautical theme with well established local family history of the area. It is located a short 2 blocks away from all of vermilion's quaintness. It was spacious and had a friendly vibe. Thanks so much for a memorable stay! The owners are very reliable and easy to work with.

Charming Lakefront Home

  • 5 of 5

A group of good friends stayed at this beautiful home over a long weekend for a friends wedding and none of us wanted to leave! The views of Lake Erie are simply breathtaking and the porch that goes along the length of the back of the home allowed for the perfect place to take it all in. The home itself is incredibly charming and we loved the decor and seeing family photos on the walls. The way the bedrooms are set up makes it the perfect spot for multiple couples, people with kids, or a large group of friends.

I know many of us will be adding this home to our "favorites" in hopes of staying here again in the future.

Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us and allowing us to create such wonderful memories while in Vermilion.

Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for an extended weekend for a family reunion in Beulah Beach. The owner's were great to deal with and the house worked great. There was a book in the house with local restaurants, phone numbers and local info. The porch ran the length of the house and was where we spent hours and hours. House was clean and well kept and we would recommend it. Easy to walk to town, shops, restaurants and beach. They even had beach toys for our granddaughter.

Positives and Negatives

  • 3 of 5

On the positive side, the location of this property is a perfect ten. It's right on the water and the town is fabulous and all within walking distance. While the house was clean and well equipped, it was strangely full of the owners' personal effects even including toiletries in the bathroom and a car in the garage. Along those same lines, the owners are very involved to the point of being intrusive. Several times during our stay someone stopped by to check up on the place. They even let themselves into the garage (while we were there!) and took out the trash which we were prepared to do ourselves. If you want your privacy repsected this is probably not the vacation house for you.

Owner's Response: This is the first year we have been involved in VRBO. We thought the concept of VRBO was to invite people to share your vacation home. With this in mind, we thought the idea was that the home would have a personal touch, rather than a bland motel-style decor. We left some family photos and mementos that we thought would add personality to the home we enjoy. As for toiletries, we have supplies on hand that we felt would save the occupants time and money. We leave supplies of Kleenex, soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Regarding the involvement of the owners, we do reserve the right to check on the home during the week. We have had the unfortunate experience of having people bring their dogs, and this violates the contract that all parties agreed upon. During the week in question, we never entered the living area of the house. There was a car stored in the 2-car garage that was needed for a family member and a lawn mower was removed from the premises. We certainly have enjoyed sharing our vacation cottage on Lake Erie, and hope that future renters will feel welcome and at home. Thank you
