Keywords: Serene Private acreage located just 7 miles from the West entrance to Glacier National Park. Stay in West Glacier's original seasonal cabin, now located in Coram and completely restored with most all reclaimed lumber and logs.
We moved to West Glacier in 1967 and lived there until my parents bought this very home from the Park in 1969 and moved it to it's current location. My Dad was employed with Glacier National Park as an Electrician in Communications. If you have ever read the book, 'The Night of the Grizzlies,' you would have read a couple pages about my Dad as he was working when the story took place. Having grown up here and embracing as much as there is to offer, I would LOVE to share my knowledge of our valley and perhaps help guide you to a fullfilled adventure during your stay.
Glenn or Kelli purchased this chateau / country house in 1969
This is home to us and we wanted to be able to share with others all our property has to offer with the change of all four seasons. Winter is SPECTACULAR with an average snow fall of 120'. Spring has it's very own life and beauty. Summer, what can we say; hiking, biking, lakes, the Park, golfing on at least 7 different courses. Fall is absolutely stunning with all the change of colors, hunting in the Rocky Mountains or just simply staying cozy by the fire with a book as the chill outside creates our grand scenery.
A prime location only 20 minutes from Glacier International Airport. Our property is secluded, with a seasonal creek, large yard and horse shoe pits. We are surrounded with mature timber and mountian views, including various attractions and a ton of recreation. Within a 10 mile radius you have the Amazing Fun Center, Great Bear Adventure, House of Mystry to experience a Montana vortex, Glacier National Park, Big Sky Water Slides, Rafting Adventures, Hungry Horse Damn & Recreation Area, Belton Train Depot... A few ideas for you...with many more right out your back door.
This truly was a home away from home. Very comfortable and close to all the things we wanted to explore while in Montana.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at the Coram Creek Cabin. The cabin is on a large property 1/2 mile from the highway, but wooded so you can think you are far from civilization. The only sounds you hear are the occasional train whistles. We enjoyed reading in the yard every evening.
The cabin is guite nice, well furnished and maintained. The fresh apple pie on arrival was a special treat.
You are only 8 miles from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park, very easy to find and get to. There is one small grocery nearby with essentials, a larger store is 15 minutes away in Columbia Falls that is well stocked with everything including a large selection of organic items.
Visit and stay at this cabin, you won't be disappointed !
Loved it. Nice spot and great house for our family. Will definitely consider coming back in the future.
We enjoyed the lovely old farm home. Very clean. Private. Charming. Would stay again. Very close to the park and everything.
We stayed in this cabin for 7 nights and had an amazing time. We had our 3 children (ages 9, 14, 15) with us on our vacation to Glacier National Park and they had a terrific stay as well. We were minutes from Glacier and minutes away from many other things to do, we did not get bored. We even spent some relaxing hours just hanging at the cabin. The place is very clean and the beds are super comfortable, the place was even better than what the pictures showed. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch and an evening fire in the pit and we had friendly games of horseshoes. We were greeted with the most delicious apple pie, what a sweet welcome to our vacation cabin. The owners were kind and returned communication as we needed and were quick to return our deposit. This cabin was definitely a home away from home and one of our family's favorite vacation rentals we have stayed at. We would recommend this cabin to anyone headed to Glacier National Park.
We loved this homey cabin with many thoughtful amenities and room for all of us. We even were greeted with a homemade apple pie when we arrived! Would definitely stay here again.
