Peaceful and secluded getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place to relax and get away for a few days. Ron and his wife were great. That cabin had everything we needed. The fire pit in the back and the pond with a dock literally 15 feet from the back door were perfect. I would brag about how good the fishing was, but I'll keep that a secret.

Always a wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

I think this was our best trip to the ranch cabin yet. We swam several times each day, we caught fish and did a little bit of hiking. I'm always sad to leave. The giant fire pit is always nice for burgers and hot dogs! Ron is always so welcoming and brought us a charcoal grill because of how wet everything was. Love this vacation rental, this was our 3rd time.

Peaceful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I chose this location for an anniversary to get away. We were greeted by Ron, owner, and he walked us through the cabin amenities. The sound system was cool and diverse. We listened to songs we have never listened to and wrote them down for future purchase.

It is a quite a get away with the feeling of being miles away from civilization. The frogs made sounds I have never experienced. There were many ponds to explore, and we caught some very nice fish with some weighing 5 to 6-pounds (Largemouth Bass) during our trip. I will not give away the secret pond, and one took away one of my prized Zara Spooks. We had a great experience and the cabin provided all the comforts of home. There was also a good place to swim, and fire pit with a grill to cook on if you so desire. We will be back again! Thank you.

So quiet, so private, so perfect

  • 4 of 5

Though we love our city life, we miss watching the night sky's luminous moonlight and infinite stars. Dos Equis (XX) Ranch Cabin provided a perfect place. So many country cabins are too well lit and close to street lights. Most are close to the property's main house and there's no sense of getting away from it all. Dos Equis cabin is away from lights and on the other side of 800+ acres — perfect for privacy, but just a short drive if renter needs help.

Though the ranch is pretty enough for a nice amble, do stay on the roads — bugs a plenty! But it's perfect for horseback riding and there's even a small stable. The pond dock and adjacent back patio with shady tables are great for open-air breakfast or winding don after an active day. The hosts were pleasant and organized. Roomy house for small groups. Having 1.5 bathrooms was grand.

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

We caught many fish of all sizes right off the dock. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights we were there. We even enjoyed being stuck inside for a few hours due to pouring rain. There were trails to explore and property to wander. We can't wait to return.

Turner Falls and the Arbuckle mountain area is within 30 miles. Ada, Oklahoma is 17 miles north. We offer miles of trails, 18 ponds and lakes, swimming, great fishing, hiking, pitchin' horseshoes, or just kickin' back. We allow adult use of four wheelers to tour the ranch. Bring your horses and really enjoy the trails.

We are thirty minutes away from Tishamingo which, thanks to Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, has become a must see stop. Her 'Pink Pistol' boutique and other developments up and down the main street have completely remade the town.
