We are proud parents of 2. Revelstoke is one of our favourite places in the world. The opportunities for adventure are endless. This property has been a dream come true for us and we are sure others will find it magical as well!
Riley and Vicky McGee purchased this chalet in 2010
As an avid snowboarder and out door adventurer I was drawn to Revelstoke's huge vertical, annual snow fall and sub-tropical climate as well as the other endless outdoor activities possible year round. I chose this particular property for its outstanding location and proximity to the hill as well as the large private lot, the unique design of the chalet and the rustic mountain feel that the local slate and wood create.
The biggest benefit of this property is the privacy, proximity to the hill and the atmosphere the chalet offers. Just a great place to spend time with family and friends.
Very nice cabin, we stayed a week with the kids, it's well located, quiet and had everything we needed.
Our week at this wonderful cabin was fantastic!! We all enjoyed the beauty of the area and there were so many things to see and do. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your cabin.
I would definitely recommend the Powder Chalet to anyone looking for a place to stay in Revelstoke! ! The chalet is well equipped, clean and comfortable. A nice quiet location as well. I would certainly come back.
We were an extended family of 8 in Revelstoke for one night. We were very impressed with the chalet. We used the well equipped kitchen to make a big family meal and found everything we needed. The location, a 3 minute drive to the gondola, allowed us to be at the gate early to get good spots for the Pipe, which was well worth the money (go early to beat the crowds). Riley was very accommodating and helpful and always good-natured about answering our questions. We would unreservedly recommend this chalet to other family and friends.
We stayed here for 2 nights to ski at Revelstoke in early March, a group of 5 guys on a road trip. Beautiful place, with a well-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher though), a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer, one bedroom plus a loft with a bed, a futon, and extra mattresses in the closet. Plenty of room for our group, and everyone had his own bed. The base of the ski area (gondola) is a 15 minute walk - probably wouldn't want to do it in ski boots, and it's only a few minutes' drive.
My daughter, with two children aged 8 and 5, and I used Powder Chalet as a base for a week's summer holiday in the Revelstoke area. It was a perfect choice. It had lots of character, plenty of space, was well-equipped with everything one might need - and the owners were delightful and helpful. We enjoyed meals on the back deck, and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. It is in a quiet but convenient location.
There was so much to see and do in the area - short and full-day hikes with glorious scenery and wild flowers in two National Parks, interesting museums (our musical kids were fascinated by the Nickelodeon), hot springs and aqua centre, adventure and theme parks, railways and history, gondola, ghost towns, the dam, ferry across Arrow Lakes, Rogers Pass, etc. We ended with a 12 kms. hike to Eva Lake - and the kids carried their own backpacks!
We would highly recommend the chalet and the area to a family for a summer vacation.
