About Lisa Martin

My name is Lisa Martin & my husband is Merv.

My husband works for his brother in a tire shop & I am a secretary at a private school nearby.

We both love old log cabins & peaceful settings.

It had been a dream of ours to restore a old log cabin.

We built this cabin to rent out & share with others.

The cabin was orginally from Manhiem. We numbered the logs tore it down & moved them to this property. My husband & son built the cabin & set it back up. Every minute of spare time they had they worked on it. It took around 1 year to complete. We would love you to come & stay!

Lisa Martin purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Lisa Martin chose Pennsylvania

This is an awesome place to enjoy the woods and nature. It is peaceful & secluded. It is the perfect place for a restored old log cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the solitude & wildlife while staying at the cabin. It is a great place to unwind! Enjoy sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking the pond. Listen to the birds, watch for the deer, in the spring listen to the peepers.

Guestbook comments from the owner

THANK YOU!!!

We were so lucky to uncover this treasure in the woods - a perfect spot full of charm & peace. Getting away to just enjoy some solitude together was made all the more memorable because of this idyllic setting. We had fun exploring the local antique shops & enjoying just exploring the countryside - roaming free, happening upon a covered bridge or a small country store, sitting on the deck in the rockers as dusk turned to night - or in the morning as we enjoyed our coffee - we loved to be so one with nature - birds chirping, frogs croaking, lightening bugs flickering. I'm sure we will come back - would love to see it in winter & take in all the natural beauty, rest & relaxation this place has to offer.

great rustic excape with modern conveniences..

  • 5 of 5

This was a trip to unwind and rewind and it did the trick. A place where you travel a short distance but feel as though you traveled far back in time and dont want to leave. Even though it has a rustic feel there are enough modern conveniences to make you want to stay. I feel like it should be visited every season to enjoy each and everyone. I can imagine it in the fall as well as winter. The indoor fireplace had me wishing it wasnt summer. I actually was making plans of what I would do if it was my place of residence all year round!!!! I wouldnt change a thing but would add some native flowers and bushes to draw the birds. And turn the heat up on the hot tub!!

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to the cabin and once again it was very relaxing, amazing and forfilling. Can't wait to have a third trip to the cabin. Lisa Martin (owner) is concerned with her visitors to the cabin she is very courteous.

Relaxing, Peaceful and Breathtaking!!

  • 5 of 5

We drove almost 9hrs and it was worth every mile. The cabin and the property surrounding the cabin was absolutely beautiful. Sitting on the front porch looking at the pond was so peaceful. The outdoor firepit area was so nice. We had never been to Pennsylvania and this cabin made it the best experience. Would highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

Rustic, secluded, great natural setting...

  • 4 of 5

Unique place to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary; enjoyed the place and each other! The only negative about the cabin was the overload of chlorine in the hot tub, so strong our eyes burned, and we endured a chlorine smell throughout the whole cabin. Several jets didn't work either. Repair / adjust the hot tub, and this place is perfect.
