House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)
Why Owner chose West Glacier
We bought this house when we bought Eddie's Cafe, Gifts, & Ice-Cream shop, so our family could be together & enjoy the perks of working in Glacier National Park.
What makes this House unique
Apgar House, being located inside the park and near Lake McDonald allows me and my family the unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the park without the standard tourist traps. Those being the sometimes long car lines to get through the entrance, especially the parking as Apgar Village is the most visited area of the park. Having the house off the main section affords us the privacy we seek, yet it's only steps away from all the park activities and the trails.

Location, location, location
The Apgar House was a wonderful place for my family of five adults to stay. We loved the location! Within a 2 minute walk from the heart of Apgar Village but yet felt removed from the hustle and bustle. We spent several relaxing evenings on the raised deck. I will definitely recommend the Apgar House to family and friends.
Family Vacation 2019
Accommodations were perfect for eight people and one dog. Location of property inside the park is a big plus.
The pictures don't lie, this house is wonderful and comfortable. We originally booked it mostly so that we didn't have to wait in line to enter the park every day and are so happy we got this one instead of the similar one we saw outside the park. It was a great place for our extended family to stay. We had lots of fun in the common areas but never felt all on top of one another either.
The shuttle stop is right there so we were able to get to everything we wanted to see easily and there were many options for activities in the area. We did stay 2 nights on the east side of the park so that we could go to the Many Glacier area a little easier but you could do it from Apgar if you were doing a hike that didn't require an early start. We even took an easy drive up to Polebridge one day.
The house had everything we could need. I recommend that you don't buy peanut butter until you check the stock in the pantry as that seems to be something everyone brings and leaves. The store is right there if you forgot anything. There is ample parking with the house so you need not worry about getting a spot in the main lots. There isn't a yard with the house but once you are inside you don't notice and when you leave you have the whole park at your disposal. We were getting a little low on toilet paper and with one call, it was restocked. The grill was wonderful to have.
FYI, the bunk beds are a little wobbly and they don't have rails on the top bunks so just beware that you may not feel comfortable letting younger kids sleep on the top bunks but other than that, they were comfortable. The adults who switched to the top weren't upset at all. The other beds were great to fall into at night after our long hikes.
I highly recommend this house. .
Perfect property for a bigger group in Apgar Village. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. The property manager was also super responsive and took care of everything we needed right away. We will definitely be back!
Amazing little spot!
We had such a great time here! My husband and I came to glacier for a minimoon after our wedding. We made the somewhat unusual choice to do the trip with 7 of our friends who flew out for the wedding. Brett reached out in advance to make sure we would be able to find the place and also suggested some activities for our group! After we mentioned we had gotten married, they had champagne and some adorable gifts waiting for us at the house when we checked in. Our group had a blast and it also felt really special for us as newlyweds. Thanks so much Brett!
Located in Glacier National Park, next to Eddie's Cafe & Gifts and adjacent from Lake McDonald, surrounded by a million acres of wilderness.
