Why Owner chose Ocean Sands

Having spent 8 years vacationing in commercialized and tired feeling Nags Head as well as remote and dated Buxton, discovering Corolla was love at first sight. Close enough to fine dining, supermarkets, upscale shopping, yet only 30 minutes north of the commercialized areas of Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk and Nags Head with their Home Depots and Wal-Marts. This was the ultimate convenient escape for a beach home. It offers one of the top 10 beaches on the east coast, lots of privacy and plenty of access to the finer things in life, and only 30 minutes to the commercialized areas south of here for any unusual needs that might arise. In addition, the common sight of wildlife always brings a smile to ones face. We loved our condo complex in particular because we can quickly walk to the ocean at any time of the day and it's a private posted community that restricts 'outsiders' from parking curbside thus minimizing the number of folks on the beach. We are also across the street, on the Oceanside, from the Currituck Club Golf Course, so the ability to be signing up for 'tee time' is only minutes away. Corolla is a pristine, upscale community, a haven for water sports, a reasonable drive to the off shore Gulf Stream charter fleets that provide world class fishing year round and something I love to do. Our section of Ocean Sands - Section F, is also the smallest section within the Ocean Sands Communities, only 3 parallel blocks wide and no more than about 10 homes at the furthermost point from the ocean on any block. Without any major roads to cross...this is one quiet, convenient and true escape destination. In addition, we have adjacent tennis courts to our condos, and our own pool for our condo owners and guests - in fact it is the largest pool in Section F. All I can say is, 'We love this place!'

What makes this Condo unique

This spectacular location is amazing. We are literally within a 2 minute walk from our condo door, until stepping into the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, we are in a Private Community that is posted at the entrance whihc reads, ' Entry beyond this point is limited to owners and their guests. Violators will be towed and subject to arrest for trespass'. Our amazing beach is adjacent to about a 1/4 miles of undeveloped beachfront providing us with exceptional privacy as well as an uncrowded and pristine beach, with some of the tallest beachfront dunes on the Outer-banks. The sight of osprey, deer, pelicans, dolphin and 10 minutes north of us - The Wild Mustangs of Corolla, as well as the more uncommon sightings of sea turtles, harbor seals, and whales, make this one exceptionally cool place to spend some time.
